Two weeks past heart surgery, I went for a blood test. Gave up after over two hours.

So thanks to the staff for making visits to this facility a little more bearable. I've been to this Urgent Care twice to retrieve covid tests for travel and work. With each visit, the staff have been spot on with their customer service--from the folks who attend the front desk to the nurse who performed the testing. They were all super nice, knowledgeable, and quick to assist. The other good thing about this Urgent Care is that once you are in their system, the check-in process is simple. That speeds things up quite a bit. Also, I probably shouldn't say this too loudly, but the lines for covid tests are typically short here, which is unusual for the area!

I called today 7/27 to request medication for my diagnosed acid reflex. A Indian doctor told me he could sent a prescription until he saw me. I waited in lobby while patio cane after me seen. I was examined and he refused to prescribe the medication I always was giving at another urgent care. He saw my medical chart and still refused I was in extreme pain and he said he wouldn't prescribe anything at lease 10 times. The visit was to scam my insurance and waste my time. I will have my friend go visit and get prescribed medication then I will write a formal complaint to his license board. Very unkind doctor that shouldn't be allowed to treat animal let alone patients. I will never return. He also left me in doctors office waiting an hour to be examined. I feel he got a kick out of seeing me in pain. Very unprofessional and just plain mean no compassion for sick patients.

I've always had strong experiences with NewYork-Presbyterian, so I came in expecting that same…read morelevel of professionalism and care. This location did not meet that standard. The doctors themselves were solid. The OB/GYN who cared for my wife stood out. Professional, attentive, and genuinely caring. Dr. Kevin Molyneux also made a strong impression. He was focused, clear, and took good care of my wife. Where things fell short was with the overall staff experience. Bedside manner across much of the team was lacking. Interactions felt dismissive at times, especially in the emergency department. Basic coordination also needs work. Housekeeping was requested multiple times and never showed up. Communication between shifts was inconsistent. There were gaps in handoffs and documentation, which made it harder to understand what had already been done and what came next. The facility itself feels dated and doesn't reflect the standard I associate with NYP. I'm giving 3 stars because the doctors delivered where it mattered most. But based on this experience, we would choose a Manhattan NYP location next time.

I was directed here by urgent care on 2/16/25 because I was vomiting profusely and experiencing…read moreextreme stomach pain and diarrhea. I was seen quicker here than at Urgent Care. Go figure! Long story short, they admitted me right away took my vitals, took blood and stool specimen and diagnosed me with norovirus. The care was wonderful. My nurses Kelly and Monica offered superb care. However, nurse Diana tried to get me to take my thyroid medicine with apple juice because I was out of water and she seemed reluctant to go refill the water pitcher. Also, when I told her I was hungry because I had been throwing up all day, she told me they only serve breakfast on that unit and the rest of the day the patients don't get anything to eat; however, she said she could give me snacks such as a pack of graham crackers, jello or jello pudding, apple sauce, and apple juice. Mind you, most of those items would extend the diarrhea and not bind it. I later found out the following day that what nurse Diana told me was not true. They did, in fact, serve three meals a day on that unit; however, the food was definitely something to be desired. I wondered why no one put in a special diet for me since most of the food items on the menu would exaggerate my condition. So, I picked what I could eat and left the rest. The transport staff was nice and the x-ray technicians were great as well. I would receive updated notices on my phone of my test results which allowed me to ask my nurse and doctors to interpret them for me so that I could understand them in laymen's terms. The rooms were well kept and clean and I was given warm blankets in both the ER and in my room when I requested them. I am grateful for the nurse's assistant Shauna and everyone who interacted with or cared for me during my stay at the hospital. My situation was very critical because I went from being fine to being severely dehydrated in a matter of hours from the norovirus but these people took great care of me all along the way and I only had to spend two days and a half in the hospital.
