Cute little shopping center in downtown Wrightwood that features a candy store, gift shop, and Christmas store with friendly customer service. Can buy tea and coffee as well as ice cream in the candy store as well. Have been here a few times to puruse the shops and enjoy a treat. The seasonal fudge is delicious and I highly recommend it. Also enjoy all the cut gifts they offer here. I bought some adorable peacock coffee mugs the last time I was here. Can't wait to see what unique treasures I find in the future here as well :) read more

I visited here when I was in Wrightwood recently and I love the old-school vibe of this candy shop. They have a large selection of ice cream candies. The whole thing I got chocolate ice cream and some sour belts. They serve very large scoops of ice cream so just a heads up, they also have a lot of cool trinkets in the window to buy from. If you're in town I definitely recommend stopping by. read more

Something for everyone! Beautiful home, garden and gift items are in one shop. Magical Christmas decor is in another shop. The third shop has more gifts, ice cream and candies, including delicious homemade fudge! All three shops make one charming experience and my favorite place in Wrightwood. read more

Applewood Court is about 100 yards behind Wrightwood market right off route two in Wrightwood. They have their own parking on the street which is accessible even in the snow.. the staff are the most friendly and helpful you can find any where. We were here with the Indian Guides at the United Methodist Church camp, for our winter camp out. It's a mile hike from our cabin to Applewood Court. At that time all the boys had ice cream. Our Family revisited from Orange County, where it was raining, to watch the snowfall in Wrightwood. We stopped again at the Applewood Court, visited the ice cream and candy store. They make their candy fresh and have a counter full of sugar free candy. I had the best fresh Cherry Cordial of my life at that shop. It was amazing and just perfect. If you're ever in Wrightwood check this place out. Well recommended, we will return. read more

The Applewood Court is a really cute shopping center. The center has a store with adorable Christmas decorations, a gift shop with nice candles and other small items for the home, and a great ice cream and candy shop. The ice cream and candy shop is one of our favorite shops in town. We love going here to get ice cream, especially during the summer. We'll then enjoy our ice cream while walking around town, looking at all the beautiful stores. The ice cream and candy shop has a good selection of candy, and they even make their own fudge. They also have really delicious sugar-free chocolate. I always stock up on sugar-free candy for my diabetic family and friends while i'm here. This center is so cute, and we love coming here each time we're in Wrightwood! read more

BEST CHOCOLATE TRUFFLES and friendly staff! I always get a dozen of their truffles, the dark chocolate ones are my favorite. I told me husband to stop getting me flowers and get me those truffles! We will be moving out of state this year and I gotta say, they are probably what I will mostly miss from this charming town. lol My kids are also intolerant to dairy but can tolerate their dark chocolate peanut butter cups, I stock them up at home, it's their favorite treat. read more

What's not to love?!? A blast to the past architecturally speaking with gift shops and an ice cream and candy store. It's a local treasure where we locals take our youngins for a treat or a toy. 1/2 a block off of Park St smack in the middle of the village. read more

Horrible service from a young gal with dark hair in a ponytail. Very bad attitude. I asked if they had boxes to put the chocolate in for something special. And they had these really cute boxes. The guy next to her was very nice, young guy . He helped me out. Before I was walking out I saw some fresh chocolate chip cookies that looked delicious and I asked if I can get one. She grabbed the cookie slammed the top put it in the bag and flung it at me on the check out desk. Started slamming things like register and other little things around her. With a rude look she gave, I asked her did I upset you ? And she was shocked and checked me out. My experience i very much wanted it to be good. I was excited to go there. But I left not happy. I don't think I will be going back if I'm gonna be treated that way in a place that should be exciting. because of all that yummy goodies. Customer service is very important and some people won't go back even if it's good, if People will be rude. I would say to the owner that has all those goods to be wise who they hire. Because those yummy treats are worth having good service. read more

I love this place! I've been going here since I was a toddler, but it's not just the nostalgia that makes it worth going here. It's just a quaint little place and I love all of the little pieces they have in their shops- especially in their Christmas Shop. I never go here without getting a little ice cream treat in their Candle & Candy Shop. Everyone is also so friendly. I highly recommend this place. read more

This place has a little shop with candles and other knick knacks. Most people go to the store where they have ice cream, milkshakes, iced tea, candies, truffles, chocolates and homemade butter fudge! They also have benches and sitting areas you can rest at. I actually forgot and left my wallet in one of the benches. Fortunately, someone saw it brought it to the lady inside the store. I don't know your names but know that I really appreciate your kindness! The next day, we stopped by before heading home and bought treats to take home. We got chocolate fudge, rocky mountain fudge and s'mores. read more

Found this place after stopping by the village and looking for a place with ice cream. Very nice store with gifts, assortments of candy, fudge and ice cream! I ordered a shake and an ice cream cone - delicious! There is a outdoor seating area in the courtyard where you can enjoy your treats. Came here for some ice cream after I had breakfast at Evergreen Cafe. This place is pretty small, on the outside it doesn't look like an ice cream shop. I got 2 scoops, one expression cup and cookie and cream. They have a few chairs on the outside you can hangout and enjoy the view. Nice little shop overall. read more

If you'd like to adventure all the way down Angeles Crest Highway from Los Angeles you'll end up in Wrightwood, a tiny town with various restaurants and a couple shops. Outside of outdoors activities (such as hiking and what not), restaurants, and one very cool antique shop, there's not much here. So if you're not into that other stuff, I would recommend getting ice cream at Applewood court! There are a few sections to this place. There is a Yankee Candle Store that has other various gifts and toys. If your little on is seeking to fill up one of those generic bag of rocks and gems (which is generally excititng for them, while being an inexpensive buy), they have those here. There is a Christmas Shop in the basement that was closed when we were there for some reason. It didn't look big. All in all the shops were not exciting. Very generic. However, the best part is the Ice Cream! It's a small shop but it has ice cream and candy. I liked how the candy is in old fashioned candy jars. The prices are good here as well. The staff was friendly too. All in all this isn't the most exciting place in the world, but it's one of the only things in Wrightwood and it's fun. Who doesn't love going into an ice cream and candy shop after a long drive? haha. We mainly took the drive for the drive and scenery itself and this was a nice little place that made us feel good about stopping at the end and making it a destination (along with the antique store next door). There are tables outside in the court to sit and eat ice cream. There isn't any room in the shop itself, so I wouldn't go on a rainly day until you are bringing it in your car. The sign outside is nice, rustic and welcoming. read more

I was at the candle shop today. I had found a perfect gift for my husband. I waited 20 minutes at the register. No one ever showed up to help me. There was no sign anywhere saying to go anywhere else to pay. I ended up leaving without the product I wanted to purchase. I guess they aren't too worried about making money. I will say the candy shop was awesome! The fudge is delicious. read more

I love little mountain towns and the Applewood Court is a must stop when you're in Wrightwood. Ice cream, homemade candies and chocolates and on cold days a nice cup of hot chocolate to warm your bones. You can go next door and find a fun knick knack to take home with you. read more

Definitely a place you would want to take your family and friends and small children. Like a small little cottage you would see a picture of a novelty store or something you see in a movie. It is beautiful any time of year but we really loved it during winter. Beautiful little antique shops, little Fudge candy and ice cream shops with hot ciders and hot chocolates. read more

applewood court is a xmas store, a candy store, and a gift shop all rolled into one (although all three are sectioned off and have their own entrance). the xmas store is replete with anything and everything you need to decorate your house and tree. i am not understating when i say replete. their selection is quite varied. the gift shop has all kinds of items including scented candles, books, cards, fabrics and artwork. this is also a very complete store and if you need to buy someone a bday present chances are you'll find something here to yours and the recipient's liking. now to my favorite part of apple wood court: the candy store. they sell all matter of chocolate and sugar free chocolate items like chocolate covered almonds, peanuts and pretzels. in addition you can purchase from a wide selection of coffee beans and they even have children's candy. to top it all of they also serve ice cream and sorbets. i recommend this place to anyone who wants to walk around the town and check out the ambiance wrightwood has to offer. read more

The variety is incredible, they make their own fudge which is definitely what they're known for, and they also have a great selection of sugar-free candies for those of us sugar-challenged individuals. Spent the day around and about Wrightwood, went to Grizzly Cafe for lunch, played in the snow then stopped at this location on way home. I don't know what it was but the owner was very quiet and unfriendly to my family. Was taken aback because we've always been welcomed everywhere in Wrightwood with friendly people. This was the first. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. The service was unfriendly and the hot drinks we ordered were not great. My family is Latino, not sure if this was an issue but with the way we were treated it has to cross my mind. read more

After moving to Wrightwood in February, I stumbled across this little courtyard trio of goodies. It has since become my favorite place to shop. I'm there weekly. The owner is one of the nicest people I have met in Wrightwood and she is always so inviting. My family comes here almost every weekend for an ice cream stop and I shop here often for gifts and also trinkets of my own. They appear to be one of the few authorized local retailers carrying some of the harder-to-find NeeDoh releases, yet I recently saw individual Halloween NeeDohs priced at nearly $25 EACH. When I asked about the significant markup, I was told that this was "fair market value" because resellers are selling them for similar prices. That explanation really bothered me. An authorized retailer purchasing directly through the brand is very different from a reseller on the secondary market. Families shouldn't have to pay reseller-level prices at a local authorized retailer simply because an item is popular or difficult to find. I love supporting small businesses and understand that they need to make a profit, but nearly $25 for an individual NeeDoh that is intended to retail for significantly less feels excessive. There are so many families and kids searching for these products, and I wish the pricing reflected that rather than what resellers are able to get online. Unfortunately, the experience left me really disappointed and hesitant to shop here again.

I was lucky enough to be the only person at their 11am candy cane demo Saturday morning (oh college football season), and their co-owner Jerry was there right by the window prepping that beer colored blob that he was about to split into colors and add flavoring and citric acid into the blob that would be aerated into a white blob. It's inspiring to watch a skilled candy smith (I made that word up) forge molten sugar into intricate stripe patterned candy. Soon enough tourists who were walking thru wound up sticking around to watch as well, and it became a wholesome candy party! It was more enchanting to watch in real life than on my phone haha, and everyone who worked at the store were very congenial and telegenic. Jerry was extremely knowledgeable and answered all my silly questions. Aside from the fun experience of seeing your candy being prepared, the candy itself was unbelievable. That day Jerry was making sour blueberry candy canes and pillows. I was able to try a nice warm sample pillow after his daughter Abby used that contraption to shape the ropes into pillows. I even got a warm rope to make a heart shaped candy (if you pay $6.50 online on their website). After trying a little piece, I was converted. I'll never buy a not homemade hard candy again. The difference is night and day how fresh the candy was and also when you bit into it was literally light as a pillow and didn't feel like you were gonna break your teeth. It made me wonder why was I eating those stale candy canes from CVS. While waiting for my heart to cool, I shopped around and grabbed some peanut brittle, mango tajin pillows, and a box filled with homemade chocolates. I nibbled on each item when I got home and was floored by the painstaking craftsmanship it took to make these morsels. I couldn't pick a favorite. I was also impressed that the hard candy selections I made when cold was also light to bite into. I think that speaks to the simple traditional style of candy people can stand to embrace and enjoy. It's not too bad of a drive so I'm definitely coming back for Christmas candy canes. Please make a trip to a rare spot that has stood the test of time.
