Well Mario to the rescue again, and this time we were able to see him in action as the job to fix our washing machine was very reasonable (and necessary!). He was easy to schedule, arrived on time, and in no time flat had popped the front panel and started banging away (in a good way) to fix our washer. He offered some interesting insight into the various types of machines out there, giving us some good food for thought when replacing out machines in what will likely have to be a few years. Until then, the cost to repair was well worth it. Mario is easy to work with and I continue to recommend him to everyone I know. I will also continue to use him for my ailing appliances until the money gods rain down the bounty I need to replace it all :) And then I'll call Mario for a consultation to help avoid needing his services for a few years with my new appliances- ha! read more

Called Mario on a Friday afternoon about a problem with our dryer. He was able to come to our house within 30 minutes of my call. I'm sure some of that was due to our schedules being in alignment, but still - how often can you get a repair person out in 30 min? Mario showed up, explained what he was going to do to diagnose the problem, explained what he suspected the problem was, then did what he said he was going to do. The good news is we did NOT need replacement parts. He also did a general service on our dryer. Likely prevented a future house fire with all the lint he found by the heating element. He's clearly on my short list of people to call if I need future appliance repairs. His price seemed reasonable, or at least inline with what others charge. Highly recommended. Mario is reasonably priced and personable. He's polite too. What I particularly liked is he communicated what he was doing and told me how to fix the problem myself in the future (if I was so inclined but honestly, I'll probably just call Mario again). I don't mind paying for a service when it truly is. The freezer kept building up pools of ice, then melting some (never the whole block), to point of overflow from catch pan underneath. He had it sorted in about an hour and I still have the rest of my Saturday. Some may charge less, and they may be fine - who knows. Again, I think he is reasonably priced. Mario get ballistic when something goes wrong. Mario came out to install a rubber seal in my washer. The washer/dryer is next to the sink in the kitchen and has separate water turn on/off valves from the sink. Mario turned off the water to the sink. I was not home when he left (I had paid him $100 cash and then left him a check for $195.00 as he had asked for). When I got home the water in the kitchen sink did not work. I called Mario and he told me what he thought was the problem. He told me over the phone, "That is not my problem". He said, "I am not a plumber" so he could not help me. I asked him to come back and he said he was across town and he wondered what he could do if he came back, He said, "What do you want, me to remodel your kitchen?". He repeatedly said he could not do anything for me and when I persisted in him coming back, he said he would come back the next day between 11:00 and 1:00 but here was nothing he would do. Mario told me he carried a concealed weapon and was packing. You should know this if you hire him into your home. I went to Home Depot and purchased a new faucet set and called Applewood and they came out and replaced the faucet set so I could get water. If he had told me he would "fix it" I would never have purchased another faucet unit or called Applewood. I told my son about what had happened and asked him to talk with Mario as Mario was dismissive of me and would not remedy the situation he had created. My son did call Mario and patched me in on the call. My son was polite and Mario got sarcastic and rude on the line and I asked Mario to contribute half of what I had to pay to get my water back on and Mario laughed and said no. Mario was smug and rude and my son snapped at him for treating me this way and they started yelling at each other so I hung up. My son told me that when he asked who Mario worked for, Mario said "Trump". My son left a review which Mario replied to with lies as he NEVER NEVER offered to fix the problem. I believe my son over Mario as my son told me specific things Mario had said to him in a menacing manner. He called my son a "stupid millenial" and "a little asswipe". read more

Mario is great. Very nice man. He said he would come between 10am and noon. Arrived at 10:05. He told me before he started what the most likely causes were for the problem. Mario was very nice, so he gets a star for that. Unfortunately, I paid Mario $150 to install my microwave and dishwasher. Mario needed my help lifting the microwave to get it into place but it seems to be installed well. The dishwasher, however, he did not install. Mario told me that he could not screw the dishwasher in because he can't drill into hard surface countertops. I found out later that all new dishwasher models can also be screwed into the cabinets on the side. Shouldn't he have known this?!? So, I finally got the thing drilled into the cabinets and tried to run it only to get an error message and it won't work. It's a brand new dishwasher. I'm not happy a happy camper! I am trying to move into my house and need to wash everything. Hand washing is taking forever. Ugh! read more

My LG dryer stopped turning on Tuesday morning, and I called Mario on Wednesday morning. He called back within 30 minutes and fit me in the next day between 12pm - 2pm (Thursday). He showed up a few minutes before noon, and was polite, professional, and courteous. He could have told me that I need to replace large, expensive parts, but he was honest and showed me the minor issue that was affecting the dryer (a small tear), and made a recommendation for a short term fix.
