Never use Appliance EMT, my Samsung dry machine wasn't running, I called asking how much they charge to get it repaired, they told me they charged $77.00 for travel and diagnosis, if I want it fixed then add parts fee. The Technician Dominic came here September 16 afternoon, he said need replace two sensor, he said it cost $60.00 each. everything cost $380.00 plus Tax plus credit card charge fee, total over $410.00, I told him, two years ago I bought this new machine and it cost me only $500.00. After discussing, he said best do for senior everything cost is $387.76. He said I have parts and labor has 90 days warranty, next day my Tenant want use dry his clothes, the machine is no running , same preview problem, call customer service, after two days Technician came here did a reset on the machine, he said now is good. Next time if you have problems, you need pay for repairs. I told Technician keep two old sensor here, I need do diagnosis, he said he must take the old parts, I argued with him, these are my parts from the machine. Why do you have to take my parts away. I'm 99% sure the sensors don't have any problem. Also, I went to Amazon and took a look, two sensor cost $25.00. Today I went to Hideal Appliance store and bought a brand new Samsung dry, everything cost me $400.00. I need my money back $387.00. It is very bad and not honest and worst company. We had them come out to fix my washing machine that was unbalanced. A young kid Joseph came with after factory parts. Did a quick load with no clothes and it worked fine. As soon as he left I did a load of laundry. Shook like crazy. Still unbalanced. He was called. He had to now order parts. Waited for them to come in. He came in changed them very quickly, All of a sudden after he left, which he never did a load to make sure it worked, now a horrible GRINDING metal sound. I sent him a video and he said it's the transmission and it would be $800. More to fix. I called and asked for someone other than this kid. A guy name Stan came out. Did something very quickly and said it should be good. A week later, grinding sound again. My husband called, they came out and I wasn't here to make sure it was Dan. It's not working. It's not fixed and out $420.00 I would not recommend this company. A huge headache for two months. We're going to buy a new washer today for $800. Very disappointed. read more

I absolutely disliked my first experience with the repair process and sent the repair guy out of the house 15 minutes after his arrival. It looked awful to the He arrived and in less than 5 minutes told me the thermostat needed replacement and it would cost $300. I don't speak Spanish so I had a very hard time communicating with him. I asked him how much the thermostat was and he said he didn't know- that the price was all inclusive. Well, that made me mad; I felt like he was hiding something. I googled Whirlpool Thermostat, and the price ranged from $12 to $46. I asked how much the hourly charge was, and he said he didn't know. What a scam company this is. Called To make an appointment for a repair on my refrigerator. I had predetermined that it was the compressor. LG offers a 10 year warranty on compressors. Mine is 4 years old. I advise who is making my appointment of this. I asked for labor rates. They could not provide a labor rate. It would be determined by the technician so when the technician came out. He was not in my house for more than ten minutes, he determined it was the compressor. No surprise there. I was then quoted $1600 for labor and the compressor. But since my compressor was under warranty, it would only be $1100 for labor. When I asked for the breakdown of the labor of what they charge hourly. I was told it's not like that, they just charge for labor. Asked how many hours was estimated for it to be repaired. He couldn't get an answer to that either. I can't understand if they were just quoting me that because I didn't want to do the job or they don't even realize that refrigerators only cost a few hundred dollars more than that. At this point I just want to be done so I asked how to pay for their $77 diagnoses, so they can tell me what I already knew. I was told debit or credit. Go to get my wallet pulled out my credit card. Was then told debit is preferred because they charge 50% on credit card transactions. What? That's ridiculous and I'm sure illegal. Now, I am no dummy. Nobody in their right mind has the right to charge anybody 50% for a credit card transaction. Transaction fees are 2-3% That is what did it for me. So Now I'm going to have this place investigated. Terrible business practices. If only negative stats were available because one is too much these scammers! read more

I found this company on line and from the reviews I thought I would call them and get them to take a look at my dryer. I am very disappointed in their final repair. They said at first I need to clean my air duct which I had just had cleaned within the last few months. I told them the problem with how the dryer was working but I am not sure they listened. After close to $400.00 later my dryer has the same problems and works less efficiently than it did to begin with. I did call the company to let them know and I got "we are very sorry". Our experiences with Appliance EMT were disastrous at all levels. First of all, the technician who came to fix three ignitor electrodes of our gas stove made two dents in the metal frame of the stove. He just brushed me off when I called and talked to him about it. Then we started hearing ignitor-clicking sounds from one of the stoves whenever it was on. The same serviceman was sent to us after I reported the problems. It took a long time for him to find out that he did not place the ignitor electrode correctly and took about one hour to have the ignitor electrode alignment adjusted right. He initially blamed us for the dents in the metal frame of the stove but admitted that it was his fault and fixed the dents at last (scratch marks were left on our beautiful Bosch stove tho). The worst part was we found a gas leak from the stove he fixed that evening. I called them to find a very unfriendly customer service for an emergency like a gas leak. They don't follow up right away to fix the gas leak!!! Unbelievable. So disappointing for everything. We paid $534.10 for unskilled, dishonest, unprofessional services, and more problems to deal with. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY! read more

If I could give a NEGATIVE ZERO I would. DAVID the technician was completely unprofessional and price gouged my family for a simple reconnect of a dryer that had no damage. The coil just came apart. The job literally took him 15min and he tried to charge me $250!!! I called the office about him and while my husband waited for me to get home he asked him to wait in the car outside of my home until I spoke with the office. He REFUSED TO LEAVE AND WAIT OUTSIDE UNTIL I CAME HOME. The office even called him TWICE and he lied and said that no one called him!!!! He even BROKE the outside dryer vent, and refused to replace it without charging any EXTRA $50!!! I do not know this man and I have an infant in the home, and he REFUSED TO LEAVE MY HOME AND WAIT IN HIS CAR UNTIL I GOT THERE which is terrifying. I was horrified at the thought that my husband was alone with my infant son with a stranger in our home REFUSING TO LEAVE and just wait in the car AFTER the job was done!!! He just sat in our laundry room and refused to leave!!! He didn't come outside until my husband yelled and told him that I was outside on the phone with the office. I will NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN!!! He looked really strange. I'm even scared that he has my home address. People are crazy, and he seemed off. That God for cameras, a awesome security system, and PROTECTION! *UPDATE* The corporate office called, and apologized for the horrible experience with their staff. Had our microwave oven die and it had multiple issues. Called Appliance EMT and Marcus came to our rescue! He was extremely professional, friendly, and took time to explain his troubleshooting process, it was a neat education into microwave ovens. He found multiple problems apparently caused by major components shorting out and blowing fuses everywhere. He was tenacious is finding all the problems and stayed calm and continued to describe the issues to me. After waiting several weeks to get all the parts ordered and received, Marcus was able to get our oven back into like new operation. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! My washer is making a grinding noise. Technician did not even wait for washer to cycle through so he could hear the noise. He said it could be a number of things. Never looked inside back of washer. Said he could do a regular maintenance but not fix the washer. WASTE OF MY TIME AND MONEY for service call. Charged me $77 I called the company and explained that he had no idea of what was wrong but wanted to do a maintenance but not fix the problem. Lare one evening I noticed that the ice dispenser was dripping water. After checking the temperature inside the refrigerator I discovered that it was not cooling. Due to time of day I bought ice to put in the refrigerator until morning. I started calling repair companies and was told it would be 2 to 3 days before they could come out. Then I called Appliance EMT and they told me they could be out the same day around 1pm. They showed up as promised and within an hour gave me a diagnosis. They obtained the part the next day and returned to make the repair. The technician Demetri was very professional and obviously very good at his job. I am disappointed and I will not use this company again. I called to request service for a disabled dryer. The lady that received my call told me there would be a $70 service fee but the fee would be waived if I received service. I was given a time frame for arrival and the tech showed up within those hours as suggested. When he arrived, however, he asked to use my restroom and proceeded to take a dump :-! Okay ish happens butt now I have some stranger raw butting my toilet for what seemed like 15 mins. Once he finished relieving himself he proceeded to ask what issues I was having then began doing his inspection. Once that was completed he told me it was this/that and it would be 300 + dollars for parts and labor and this also included the service call out fee. HUH! I was told it would be waived if services were rendered. He said no so I called back and spoke with a gentleman who confirmed what I was originally told. I went back to the tech,  told him and what the guy on the phone said and he said let me call the office. I said I have them on the line now but he proceeded to call in himself and went downstairs and out to his truck. I felt like I was being scammed. Why can't you talk in front of me and I am already on the phone with your co. so why can't you just speak with the person I'm speaking with???? He returned 5 mins later and said, i apologize I misspoke. The $300 price is just for the parts and labor. The service fee is waived. HMMM! so a 20 min job with two small parts is over $300? He said, yes that does have a warranty included which is $40. I said you didn't mention the warranty cost when you initially told me the price. He again apologized. Feeling scammed and really just wanting my dryer fixed and for him to leave. I agreed but asked him to remove the warranty. I don't want you guys coming back for any reason. I will just charge this experience to the game and move on. it's only money. 20 mins to the T he was done, paid and gone. Had washing machine quit working and called. Joshua came out and diagnosed problem. Seemed nice and I paid for the part on 6/5/23. He then kept saying he couldn't get the part, back order problems twice but finally after I called for status 4 times, he called 6/30/23 prom to install drain pump 7/3/23 morning. I called him at noon and he said he would be here in 15 minutes he was fini up an exhaust job. Called him at 3 and he wouldn't take my calls. i then ordered part myself and got it for the same price in 2 days, no problem finding the part at all. Strange follow-up and communication- I cannot recommend. I needed a new starter for a gas cooktop- the price for the starter itself (per Amazon) was $36 dollars and figured $250 would be more than adequate to furnish and install. I am all for everyone making money and making a living, but Bobby spent at best a half hour installing the starter and I received a $600+ invoice. I asked for his receipt for the part itself and he couldn't furnish it. After a couple of calls he went silent on me. I was disappointed more than anything else- if he could have justified the invoice I would have been OK with it.. I've had over $3K of repairs with EMT, some good and some bad, but always gave him the benefit of the doubt. I'll find somebody else. read more

We have a built in GE Microwave and oven combo. A few days ago our microwave stopped heating. I called Home Depot to see if they could help diagnose the problem and they said it's probably to magnetron. They said I would have to buy and while Microwave/oven combo ($2,000+).
