Incredible communication, follow through, customer service. LG washing machine was down with an LE error code - one visit to diagnose and all scenarios and costs were relayed to me. Another visit to repair - it turned out to be the least costly option. Heavy things were moved and put back in order to unstack the washer and dryer. A shelf was accidentally pushed somewhat out of the dry wall, but Troy told me immediately and this is an easy repair, so no worries, and I appreciated the professionalism of letting me know. Something about being home 24/7 just made my appliances have melt downs! First, the oven wouldn't heat, This time,my dryer wouldn't heat! The appliance guy process did it right, right from the first call all the way thru the visit. I took about 3 days to find a time, and he arrived on time! My dryer is about 8 years old and the problem could have been several things. But he had a notion it was the element, checked it out first and was right! I had thought it was a circuit, and he checked that out too, which I thought was very thorough. I'm glad it didn't take a long time,he took the whole apparatus apart in about 2 minutes! The Appliance Guy is now "my appliance guy!" The lid switch on my 20-year-old washer went out last week. Through Yelp, I put out three requests for quotes. They responded within 15 minutes, and they were the only ones I heard from that day. Originally, they weren't going to be able to come out for two weeks, but they worked things out so they could come within a few days. They gave me a two-hour window, and Javier called about 30 minutes before arrival. I liked that he gave me the price before he started the work, and I received an electronic receipt soon after he left. They charge $85 plus tax for a service call, or they charge for labor and parts (whichever is more). He was professional and efficient, and when I checked the washer after he left, I couldn't tell he'd been there. He even checked the condition of my washer and told me it was in good shape. Had Troy come out to look at an issue with our fridge constantly cycling on and off. He was honest and informative - we ordered a replacement part (and scheduled the replacement) and then I decided to try the replacement on my own. He was great about cancelling the upcoming appointment and refunding me the deposit for the upcoming work. I think Appliance Guy gets you to ProConnect, a division of American Home Shield. You think they're local but you actually talk to someone in Tennessee who "connects" you with a local repairman. I had a very negative experience with Proconnect re repair of my refrigerator. I would avoid using them like the plague if you possibly can. They do not qualify their repair people and they do not stand behind their work. After a $400 repair, my refrigerator started doing the same thing 2 months later. When I called them, they said they only guarantee their work for 30 days and that I would have to start all over if I wanted it repaired. They also repeatedly try to sell you their home warranty plan. Very poor business to work with in my opinion! read more

Troy was great! Our garbage disposal stopped working and we researched and asked around before deciding to call Troy. He was to come out on the weekend, which we had requested. However, the broken disposal started causing more problems including water running onto the floor whenever we ran the dishwasher or turned on the sink. We called again and he came out the next day and put in a replacement at a very reasonable price. He was very personable as well.
