Jason has repaired a few appliances in my home for the past few years. He has always been very professional and answered all my questions. I'm not much of a reviewer but I feel this company deserves credit not only for great service but also for being honest. On his last visit, I had him repair my dryer. He gave me a quote for the repairs and returned a few days later when he received the parts needed for the repair. After he finished, he let me know that he had found the parts at a cheaper price and charged me less. He could have simply charged me the price he had quoted a few days earlier, but instead he chose to reduce the price based on the cheaper parts. I spoke with Jason at Best Appliance Repair. He informed me that LG had extended the warranty on most refrigerators due to a compressor issue and recommended that I call LG, since they will only pay for LG repair folks. So, rather than come out and charge me a service call fee to tell me he couldn't fix my appliance, he gave me all the necessary information up front. My LG fridge was not dispensing water at all well. I called BAR and set up an appt. Jason arrived on time, called before he came, and worked on the fridge. He had to return a couple of times over the next several days to ensure the correct part was installed, and he also made sure all other components were working as designed. We live in our house in Cary for 19 years and our major appliances rarely have issue. A week ago my Bosch dish washer would not kick on. I scheduled an appt with Jason today. He came over and canceled a cycle and let it drain, the washer started to kick on and run. WOW. I also have Thermador cook top and one of the burner does not lit. Jason ordered the parts needed to be replaced and told me to order two since the cook top is high grade but 18 years old. I will have a spare part in case one of the burners goes out again. After 5 years the washer came to screeching stop, time to find a repair guy. Called 3, the first assured me arrival time, nothing. The second did not even returned our call and the third, bingo. Jason showed up on time, diagnosed the beast, explained that he had to order the part and would be back next day. He was professional, pleasant, and replaced the thermostat that was needed. The total time he was here was 20 minutes. Josh was on time and worked swiftly to diagnose the issue with my dishwasher. He was very friendly and personable, and made sure I knew what was going on at each moment. There was some confusion around pricing. Jason had quoted me a $60 diagnostic fee, and then if a part had to be ordered and replaced and additional charge would occur to include labor. No parts had to be ordered, but I was charged the $60 + $30 for labor, but when I questioned this it was promptly changed back to $60. So I'll chalk that up to an honest mistake this time. read more

I contacted Best Appliance to work on my washer. The good reviews convinced me that Jason and his company would do a good job. Unfortunately based upon the condition of the machine after the visit I have to say, in my opinion, he didn't repair it. It sounds worse and does not agitate. A 10 year veteran at Maytag listened to it, they said it was not repairable. I would have felt better if he said that; instead he said he tightened a screw, said something was loose and left. $90+ for a screw tightening. I won't be using this company again. I ran into a spot of trouble trying to install an over-the-range microwave, and called on Best Appliance Repair to get the job done. Jason arrived when he said he would and made quick work of the job at the price he quoted via email. There was some minor drywall damage during the install, which was unavoidable (the previous wall-mount was screwed into the studs with three screws all with stripped heads), but the end-result is a nicely secured over-the-range microwave (which was my main concern). My range stopped working and I called best appliance repair. They sent a repair man out in less than two days. He called me before he came, told me his name was Josh and that he was 30 minutes away. The first thing that Josh did was to check the power input to the range and found it to be 110 V instead of 220 Volts. Ranges work on 220 Volts. He then informed me that there was nothing he could do because he was not an electrician. He could not make the repair but he made an excellent diagnostics report. I bought a $10 breaker switch and my brother who is an electrician installed it for me. Though they were not able to completely help me, I was pleased with their service and would recommend them to anyone. read more

Jason showed up on a Friday as scheduled but seemed baffled by my refrigerator problem. There is only one air flow control for both the freezer and refrigerator combined. My freezer is not cold enough (ice cream soft) but, when I push up the control, the food in the refrigerator is getting "iced", Jason promised to call me on the following Monday after speaking to some fellow repairmen to get their ideas on the problem. HE DID NOT CALL! Now it is 8 days after he was here and I still have not heard from him. Am going to call another repairman. Cannot tolerate repairmen who do not follow through.
