Electronic Express in Cookeville is a complete dumpster fire and a stain on Tennessee businesses…read more We dropped $12,000 on appliances, fooled by their fake reviews and the pathetic myth that a Tennessee-owned company gives a damn about customer service. Total scam! They butchered the installation, spitting on every promise they made and leaving us stranded. They shoved damaged appliances full of dents and scratches down our throats, banking on us being too stupid to notice their junk. An assistant manager spewed lies about fixing it, only for them to call the next day and demand more money for installation we already paid for upfront. To top it off, we spoke to a manager at the Nashville location who was outright rude, treating us like garbage for daring to complain. Their customer service is a disgusting sham--dishonest, useless, and infuriatingly arrogant. Avoid this pitiful excuse for a store unless you love being scammed and disrespected. By the way, Ethan was a pleasure to work with and tried to help - but the others in the store was a waste of time and effort. I noticed that the owner responds to these reviews but offers nothing to address issues in his response. Only saying things like "it's unfortunate" or "we hope to do better to regain your trust". My plan is if we don't resolve this issue in the next few days, I'm going to load $12k worth of high end appliance on my trailer, haul them to the Cookeville store and camp out in their parking lot with a huge banner saying how I was scammed and sell my appliance in the parking lot for penny's on the dollar. It has absolutely nothing to do with the cost it's all about principal.

This place seems to just want to sell you as much as they possibly can and never stop pushing…read moreitems. It does seem they get products that are soon discontinued from manufacturers. We recently purchased a GE profile refrigerator & after about 14 months the ice maker stopped working. I know that things don't last forever but if I'm spending over four thousand on an appliance I'd think it could make it at least a couple of years. When I called the store to try to get some kind of assistance,I was no longer greeted with the same enthusiastic energy as when I purchased the item. I was given ever excuse in the book as to why it was basically my problem now. Jason Roberts was the salesman and even the delivery guy told us we should use a different guy if we go back! That he was just out for the commission and it makes sense. When I did call and speak to him, of course he let me know that Friday he was going to speak to his manager and even reach out to the GE rep with the promise of a phone call back by at least Tuesday. Well, it is now Sunday and we haven't heard anything and I doubt we will. I would highly recommend travel any distance needed to make large appliance purchases. They already knew the model they were pushing on us was being discontinued but never mentioned it to us. They were looking out for themselves and moving inventory. The refrigerator was delivered and the guys ended up removing the doors. In the process they broke something & tried to get us to wait until the next day for the part they broke. I wish I would have just let my husband send it back! Then when the stove was delivered they sent a small electric range! We purchased a GAS range with a griddle in the middle of the stove. The delivery guy then was the person who said that was what Jason had put down on the order & this always happens. It has been one fiasco after another. This place is more like a discount bargain bin for discontinued products except you will pay full price with a nice delivery fee. Trust me and do yourself a huge favor go anywhere else but here!

Expensive special order sectional sofa…read more.. Expensive special order Mayo sectional sofa Model 4087. Sewn on back pillows - see pictures of second replacement sofa attached--are "stuffed" irregularly and could not be repaired. Mayo determined that the first sofa was unacceptable and the defects were caused by new "stuffing" factory equipment. Huh???? What about quality control???? I had more than one conversation with Chris McCall, owner of DT McCalls. Among other representations, Chris McCall was personally going to be sure the replacement sofa was acceptable. He told me he had spoken to Steve Mayo, CEO of Mayo Brothers and that Mayo would personally approve shipment and quality control. I expressed concern about my $2000 payment and whether I should put a hold on it until I received a presentable sofa. Chris McCall was adamant about his integrity and standing behind his company's service. He felt and expressed in multiple instances his 39 years in the business and community. Mayo took several weeks and delivered a replacement sofa. The original sofa was removed then. Once again the back cushions are not stuffed properly. I called Chris McCall while his delivery people took pictures of the sofa. He would not take my call and never called back. Instead, he instructed his accounting person to call me. She was told to tell me to have the sofa removed and he would refund my money. I could sit on the floor until I bought a new sofa. Mayo and DT McCalls, Cookeville TN furniture store, maintained the replacement sofa was acceptable and McCall stated that "you would never be satisfied". McCall needs to be heard and it is near impossible to get him to shut up and listen. Terrible person to deal with given the circumstances. Not apologetic and never even looked at either sofa, only the pictures. Steve Mayo was never contacted by McCall. It was McCall and the Mayo salesperson that determined the sofa was acceptable. Once again, Mayo and McCall, or the salesperson ever saw the sofa. They represented that I was unreasonable. I called Steve Mayo several times and he never returned my calls. His customer service manager Sarah would not connect me and said that I had to deal with DT Mcalls and not Mayo. Tim Tyler, sales in TN for Mayo offered to visit my home and reposition the foam in the cushions. Not possible! The back cushions are sewn into the back of the sofa and bunched up in some areas and not filling other areas. The packing could not be reformed to fit the covering. Chris McCall, owner DT McCalls is one of the most dishonest and unprofessional business owners I have ever dealt with. Enough said. Beware of both companies.

terrible service. bought a mower that never worked at end of july. First mow, the mower continued…read moreto die, and the steering would go out intermittently. shop in Carthage and was told that this would be common because been sitting for so long and I had bought it at the end of the mowing season. Second mow- same thing. Had it picked up for warranty work and now I'm getting told that I need to pay for pick up and delivery even if it's warranty work. Why would I need to do that if it never worked?? called and spoke with one of the owners who identified himself as Alex and when I asked to return it, he said no. he then proceeded to hang up on me rather than talking like adults. Do not recommend. Go somewhere else.
