Jason came out the next day and got right to work disassembling the fridge. He determined the problem (blown thermostat,) told me the plan and quoted a price. He told me that he could order the part (from Frigidaire) and it would arrive two days later, and he could finish up. My wife asked if she could get the part on Amazon, and he said sure, why not? So we got it overnight, and saved about $75! (the part cost $15 on Amazon.) Jason put the whole fridge back together and said it would work, but it wasn't fixed completely because it till needs the thermostat. But meanwhile we had the use of our fridge back. He came back the next day and finished up. Perfect work! I am thrilled with the job he did; I really like that he was so straight up about the cost. He quoted me a price and stuck to it.. He gave me an option to save some money (ordering my own part.) There was no upselling, not hidden costs, no games at all! Just good solid craftmanship. The technician was at our home for about 30 minutes and, to the best of our observation, did not open the machine or perform what we would consider a thorough inspection before offering an opinion. The interaction itself was just as concerning. When my wife asked reasonable, straightforward questions, the technician responded with, "I'm the professional." We perceived his tone as dismissive and condescending. It raised a serious concern for us that he may have been talking down to her, and in our opinion, it felt as though she was not being taken seriously--possibly because she is a woman. When I contacted the company afterward to address these concerns, the response from ownership, in my opinion, was defensive and unproductive. Rather than working toward a resolution, I was told, in substance, that I was "too cheap to do the diagnostic myself," which I found both inaccurate and unprofessional. Based on our experience, and after reviewing other publicly available customer feedback, it is our opinion that the $125 diagnostic fee did not reflect the level of service provided. This review reflects our personal experience and opinions only. Others may have different experiences, but we strongly encourage potential customers to clearly understand what the diagnostic process includes before agreeing to service.

Last delivery I had from buying appliances from Home Depot consisted of them bringing me a dishwasher they dropped down a flight of stairs and then gave me attitude when I didn't want it installed. So they literally threw it in my garage and left and Home Depot's response was to tell me how hard it is to get sub contractors. I pretty much never leave online reviews, but I have to here. We purchased a full Thor kitchen appliance package from this business in summer 2025. Paid in full so that we would have our appliance package all ready to go when the new construction home was completed in Summer 2026. We chose this business as they were listed as a dealer on the Thor website and we would rather support a small business than big box stores. We also ended up buying our LG washer and dryer from Mickey, and even paid full retail price for them since we wanted to support their small business and have all our appliances show up together from the same place. What a HUGE mistake this was!! Stopped by the shop in February to make sure all was good and the owner, Mickey said all is well and just give him 30 days notice before we need the appliances delivered to the new home. We ended up giving him 45 days notice and yet, the appliances didn't arrive until several weeks after promised. This threw off the schedule with our builder and other subcontractors causing many other issues. When appliances arrived, owner told us the vent hood system was damaged and offered us a non-Thor brand as a replacement. We replied, No, as we wanted all Thor appliances, which is what we paid for. He then told us it would cost an additional $400 to expedite shipping to get the Thor hood there within a week. We chose to go ahead and pay the extra expense as timing was crucial. Well, it still took 2 weeks to get the hood. I could have ordered it myself from Best Buy or Lowe's and had it much sooner. After appliances were delivered and installed, they were tested a short time later by our plumber. Dishwasher was leaking all over our kitchen. Owner of Appliances To Go USA, Mickey told us that the dishwasher was tested at delivery and was fine. Hard to believe they tested anything as the leak was VERY obvious and they had not even bothered to untie the spray bar from the rack. Mickey ordered a new water valve from Thor. A few weeks later when we moved into the new home, Mickey said Thor sent the wrong water valve and would order correct one. A few weeks later I checked with Thor and they had no other water valve on order as the one they sent to Mickey was correct. It looked like a different valve, only because it had been re-designed since the valve that was in our unit. We finally went direct with Thor and have gotten the dishwasher repaired. And, found out that the hose used from Mickey's supposed install had a leak from it too, along with the water valve. Mickey had a worker bring us a Bluetooth speaker system that he had at the shop as a gesture because of all the problems we experienced. It's a few years old, still in the box, and it didn't even come with the power cord to plug it in! After we moved into the home, we decided to fire up our new built-in ice maker. It made a few batches of ice and then leaked water all over our new kitchen. Why did it leak, because it had a gravity drain hose and no pump. When I contacted Thor to get warranty service on the ice maker, it was humiliating to find out the ice maker that Mickey installed in our home was not even a Thor brand ice maker!! We paid for a new Thor ice maker and he installed a 2023 model Brama ice maker that is now leaking all over the kitchen! And, he didn't even noticed that this subpar replacement would not work since it does not have a drain pump. We contacted Mickey and demanded we get a refund for the Thor ice maker and would give him this other unit back. He said he didn't have that kind of money but would check with his wife and work on it. He ended up telling us to lose his phone number and then proceeded to hang up on us. All we wanted was our money back and we would go on our way. Through issues we were also having with our new LG dryer, found out that Mickey had not installed the correct recommended dryer vent hose between the unit and wall. We have since fixed that problem. He installed the WRONG ice maker in our home, hoping we wouldn't notice and does not understand why we are upset?? Mickey is a dishonest businessman that does the whole "rob Peter to pay Paul" thing and ends up screwing over his customers. He even made an additional $3k on our appliance package because at the time he ordered them, everything was cheaper than last summer when we paid Mickey for them. That is a chance we took when we bought the appliances, but another example of how Mickey works. We filed a BBB complaint three weeks ago to which he has not responded to. I really wish we had done more research before purchasing from Appliances To Go USA in Fort Myers, FL. If I had, I would have found the other complaints that sound very similar to mine. As I have found out from others that have worked for or with Mickey, this is how he operates and what he does to people.
