After tropical storm Debby I discovered water on floor of my laundry rm. after cleaning up , I realized water was not due to the storm, but was accumulated from beneath my washing machine. I contacted Mark Snell, The Appliance Repair Guy. Within a few hours he arrived to look over my situation and to diagnose the issue. He checked thoroughly and and reassured me that the problem may have been a one-time hiccup --and that I could safely wash clothes again without leaks. Yelp is very helpful! Just moved here and inherited a fridgidare refrigerator. It had two indicator lights telling me filters were empty. Called and spoke to Mark Snell. He took the time to explain where the filters were, where to purchase and how to replace. No service call or $ involved. Great help. I now have an appliance service tech on my team. read more

He diagnosed the problem over the phone. Told me it would take a week to get the part but I could pay $85 to have the part overnighted. I told him to please get it. He showed up and told me there wasn't anything wrong the washer. I told him I felt badly as he had paid out of pocket to overnight the part. Or had he? Asked me to pay the $79 service fee. I paid. Put a load in the washer put it on extra large and the problem started again. I called him since he hadn't been gone for a few minutes. I asked if he only tested the unit on a small load. He agreed that he had. When I suggested that wasn't very smart he took offense. Said I called him dumb, which I guess I had. He later texted that he would tip up the check. Guilty conscious? I was incredibly disappointed with the experience I had with Appliance Repair Guy, LLC. My refrigerator, which is only 1 year old, wasn't getting cold. The gentleman who came to service the refrigerator was there less than 5 minutes and his recommendation was to "buy a new refrigerator". That cost us $80. He said he could try to put freon in to see if that would help, though he has no idea if it would, but that would cost another $250. We said no so he left. When we called the company to complain about the service, they said they would refund our $80. That was over 3 weeks ago and still nothing... read more

Overall disappointed with his service. Called for noisy dryer repair. He said it was the bearing making the noise and he could fix it for $225.00. Repaired it, and the loud squeeking stopped. When using the dryer later that day, it began making a loud rumbling noise. I called him back and left a message. No response. Called next day and spoke with him - he did come back out but really had NO CLUE what was causing the noise. Didn't charge for that visit, but also didn't fix anything. I called the next day telling him it was still making the noise...he said he'd call as "soon as I finish the job I'm on." Not a word. Looked up the info myself online, watched a couple of Youtube videos...discovered the issue, ordered the part locally ($35.00) and now it's running like new!
