Reached out to KMH Appliance to remove (& reinstall) a cabinet mount wall oven and move a…read morerefrigerator as part of a kitchen cabinet resurfacing project. Trent contacted me almost immediately and quoted $275 for the effort. When Trent & his co-owner arrived to accomplish the removal of the first phase, they noted there was some confusion regarding the scope of the fridge relocation. We were requesting the fridge be moved out of the kitchen. Note : no updated estimate was provided at this time. KMH willingly moved the fridge to the foyer, however they noted the front right wheel was damaged. They verbally stated that because of the wheel damage they would not be liable for any associated damage. They did provided a ~$215 estimate to repair the wheel Three weeks later, KMH returned to reinstall the oven and move the fridge back to the kitchen. The oven install went smoothly, however during the fridge relocation they created two deep scratches (4 inch & 2 inch) in the red-oak hardwood. When the scratches were identified, they restated that as previously noted because of the wheel damage they were not liable for any damage. When the final bill was provided ($275), Trent noted they were not charging us the regular fridge moving fee ($250) because of the damage. They provided a recommendation for a Flooring Company, who we subsequently contact (they provided a $800 estimate [to include replacing three boards, staining, and sealing]). We additionally contacted Pryor Floors ($335 estimate to include sanding, staining and sealing the damaged red-oak boards). I contacted Trent regarding the repair estimates. He reiterated their position that they were not liable for any of the damages and they had already not charged us for the fridge moving ($250). We were disappointed that there was no offer or discussion regarding cost sharing on the repair costs above the $250 credit. Bottomline: They did satisfactorily accomplish the verbally-agreed to work. Our primary issue was there was never a written contract detailing the specific work and cost to be accomplished. Further the contract would have likely detailed their liability responsibility and eliminate any ambiguity regarding damages. Overall, we were disappointed in how KHM handled the damages. As such, we will unlikely use KMH again.

The repair and installation was 1/2 the cost as there was still a lot of labor and welding, etc. but we were thrilled. They were professional, timely and so helpful.

Please just give me my money back. Response: that's not how we do it we have a "process" I had to get upset and argue to get my money returned. Only because I persisted for over 20 minutes on the phone I got my refund. They had the nerve to say we will not refund the $130 for the diagnoses fee. Of course I had to say why am I paying for a diagnoses fee when you have not diagnosed it correctly twice. Finally after me getting angry they refunded that amount too. If any company can't fix something and the customer is not happy just refund the poor job that was completed. They claim they are the #1 repair company for Bosch! That might be true but on this one occasion they were far from #1 which is what matters to me. I definitely would not recommend Mr. Appliance. And lastly I called another person they diagnosed the probable and it was fixed. Perhaps Bosch should know about this repair person.

I had thought it might be a motor or electronics problem, but John immediately checked the drive belt. Sure enough, it was worn and had worked its way off of the motor pulley. John ordered a higher quality belt by phone, it arrived today, and he installed it this evening. I agree with the reviews and ratings I've seen. Five Star service at an affordable price. Next time we need appliance service, we'll be calling John and his dad!

I called John and he said he would fix it under warranty. He came to the house with a new heating element but it turned out to be a different problem which was with the wiring harness connector. The connector itself was no longer available locally but he found one on eBay, bought it and then installed it. I paid for the part and he said the labor was covered under warranty. I think he is very honest. He could have charged me much more than he did. In the future if I have a problem with any other appliances I will call him and I highly recommend him to all my friends and real estate clients.

But this experience has been the opposite. Not with the technician, but the office. I was trying to ask for a price breakdown of the repair job and no one can give me a straight answer. One quote from the tech, that he didn't write down, so I called the office to get it on paper so we could make a decision about whether to fix the machine or get a new one. Got two different emails with lists of parts and prices, but they don't give a total repair cost. And when I add them up, the totals are different. I called the office for clarification and verbally got another different total from a guy who didn't seem to even know what I was asking. This obviously is confusing to me that all the repair estimates are different so I try to call to get clarification. I've probably called 5-6 times over a period of two weeks can can't get a straight answer from the people how pick up the phone, nor can I get a call back from the manager to explain the quotes. I really hope you don't have the same experience as we had. Very disappointed. I just want my washer fixed. Hoping to update this review if they actually call me back and fix the machine.
