So I went to Mountain High Appliance, a CO owned and operated business. Robert was the sales person who greeted and helped me, even though I discovered upon my arrival that I had forgotten my credit card at home. I told him what my preferences were and, out of their large selection, he guided me to the Speed Queens. They are more expensive than other brands, but also more reliable and made in the USA. He helped me to make my purchase even without my credit card in hand. Later in the day Robert called to let me know that the dryer I wanted was backordered by Speed Queen but he made it possible for me to purchase the floor models of the set I had chosen. Throughout the process Robert was helpful, knowledgable and timely with his communications. Mountain HIgh's delivery staff is not contracted out , so delivery service is so much better than any other place I have experienced! No dinging up entry ways or walls! And they ran tests on both machines to make sure they were working before they left! By far my best experience buying appliances from beginning to end! The old adage applies: you get what you pay for! And I didn't find them that much more than the big box stores.

High City Appliance charges $69 for first appliance and $34 for the second one. We called and set up a time and date for them to diagnose. The window was 9-12 pm. As we do, schedules get rearranged and it was 11:25 am and still no communication from High City Appliance. I call to follow-up and customer service tells me they will follow-up. A couple of minutes later, I receive a text from their technician and he says he is 25 minutes away. He arrives at 11:57 am. He did wear shoe covers upon entering and after spending about 30 minutes in our laundry room, he shares the issues with our appliances. To replace the parts and labor the cost would be about $715. The estimate included parts and labor and labor was over $200/hour. That seemed pretty steep. If we decided to move forward, the diagnostic charge would be credited, but still very costly. After having to follow up and waiting for the technician to arrive, then receiving his quote, it was a disappointing experience. The technician also wanted to charge me $59 for the second appliance, but quickly corrected him of the quoted price that customer service shared upon making the appointment. I would strongly reconsider calling High City Appliance in the future should we have appliance issues.

I was very clear that this was for my condo for my tenant. Tenant has a dog and you have to coordinate with him. Dryer repairman asked me to text him the address to a different cell phone, which I did. I included my tenant. Dryer-man said he could be there the next day, but never responded with a time. I called at 9am the next day. He said he would call. He allegedly did, but did not give my tenant a time frame. Then, I called again to say I was going to find someone else/cancel the appointment. He started yelling at me, I said bye and hung up. Then, he responded to the texts. He had the nerve to call me bossy and tell me I needed a chill pill when I never wanted to be a middleman between these two adults anyway.
