The company knowingly charged me over $800 for a compressor replacement that was covered under LG's 10-year compressor warranty -- a fact they deliberately concealed. The replacement compressor was defective, resulting in repeated failures over seven months. When I sought accountability, the company refused to provide documentation, concealed ownership information, and demanded an additional $500 to continue service. Specific Deceptive Practices: 1. Concealment of Manufacturer Warranty: Failed to disclose the LG 10-year compressor warranty, inducing payment for a service that should have been free. 2. Defective Workmanship: Installed a defective compressor that failed repeatedly within the company's own warranty period. 3. Failure to Honor Own Warranty: Demanded additional payment for repairs covered under the company's 90-day service warranty. 4. Refusal to Provide Documentation: Denied my right to receive invoices, repair records, and other documentation for services paid for. 5. Concealment of Ownership: Refused to identify the business owner, contrary to Florida law requiring disclosure of ownership for registered business entities. 6. Unconscionable Pricing: Effective rate of approximately $800/hour for labor, which is excessive and unconscionable. 7. Complete Non-Responsiveness: Ignored a formal certified demand letter, demonstrating a pattern of evading consumer accountability.

I wasn't sure how to exchange my propane tanks at the self service kiosk, so I went in to ask for help. A gentleman noticed I was carrying my two tanks for exchange. He said I could leave them by the door. I just needed to pay for the exchange first and the cashier would give me the authorization code to exchange them at the outside self service kiosk. The cashier pointed out the authorization code and said I could use the code twice for both exchanges. I went to the kiosk, typed in the code and a door opened to insert the empty tank. I put the tank in, closed the door and I second door opened within 30 seconds and I took out a full tank. I followed the same process for the second tank. As of January 2026, tank exchanges are $22.74 each, limited to two tanks. If you need propane for the cold weekend coming up, this is the place to go!

Then Home Depot came onto the scene and pretty much obliterated the local hardware store until pretty much all that remained was Home Depot and Lowe's. Lately, Ace Hardware has been trying to.capitalize on the whole neighborhood and warehouse store, but they are a chain,as well. Anyway, Home Depot does have a lot to offer. You can get lost wandering the aisles and pretty much anything and everything you need or even might need can be found within those cavernous aisles. This alone makes it a positive experience and my time here was a productive visit and I got what I needed and was on my way in an acceptable amount of time. All in all, I would recommend this particular Home Depot location for your home and D.I.Y. needs. I don't believe anyone likes shopping in a hardware store, but I had some items to get and knew that I should be able to get everything that I needed at Home Depot and, by the way, they did have everything that I needed so, "mission accomplished."

I'm writing a 5-star review for a company I didn't actually do business with…read more A few weeks ago, I had what seemed like an emergency service need for my refrigerator. And, of course, it occurred on a Sunday afternoon. Knowing that the company handling my warranty would not be available for at least a few days, I searched out to companies that were available 24/7. Orlando Appliance Repair was one of those companies. Upon calling, the customer service rep put me in touch with their field-rep, Igor. I described the problem and he planned to show withing two hours or less ... on a Sunday afternoon! My refrigerator came back online and I contacted Igor to make him aware and cancel my appointment. He understood and just simply cancelled my appointment without fuss or cost. If a company can be this prompt and respective to new clients calling on a Sunday afternoon that they would end up not be getting business from that day, I can only believe that their actual work would be first-rate and I would not hesitate to connect with Orlando Appliance Repair for any related needs in the future.

He explained the problem and ordered a part. He scheduled an appointment to return the next day to complete the service call. The next day, he showed up on time and completed the repair. It's been a few days and the problem is fixed. I am not sure if the fee was reasonable. It's the first time I've had to repair an appliance in over 10 yrs. I am very satisfied with the results and the ease of the process.

Do Not Buy From Cassia at Casa Furniture - Scam Artist Extraordinaire…read more Purchased at full price a new kitchen table on July 25, 2023, but it didn't arrive until Nov/Dec 2023. My total purchase price for a couch, kitchen table and eight matching kitchen chairs was $23,949.23. By the time the table arrived (of course it was on backorder six months or more) my personal situation changed dramatically so I asked if the items could be stored at Casa Furniture's warehouse until the items could be delivered to my new place, to which they agreed. When the table was finally delivered in Dec 2024 / January 2025, I noticed the box that contained the table stand and the crate that contained the tabletop looked as if it had been opened previously and resealed, so I tried calling the saleswoman, Cassia, to no avail. I left numerous voicemails at the store for her, left direct messages with her coworkers, and sent texts messages to her on her personal cellphone, without any responses or replies from her. Found it odd that she no longer returned my calls or texts after spending more than $30,000 with her over the past 18 months, so, after months of attempts, I decided to work with a new salesperson, Dulanga, who coordinated (at $199.00 of course) for the table's assembly by Casa staff yesterday (Monday). An interesting discovery was that the cell number Dulanga had for Cassia was not the same number I had used for Cassia over the past 18 months, but I didn't give it much thought until now. It is now obvious that she changed cell numbers after realizing I discovered an issue with the table's packaging and was unwilling to face me or talk to me knowing she cheated me on my purchase. When the box and crate were opened finally by Casa staff (Wilson & Makenson) for assembly on Monday, May 19, 2025, it was immediately noticed that the table (high-gloss black) was smudged with dozens of fingerprints all over it, it was scratched in the center of the table resembling a 'T' or a cross-shaped scratch, and extremely dusty. Immediately, I realized the 'new' table had the appearance of being used and repackaged. Thinking that if I brought the scratches to the managers' or owner's attention, he or they would make it right. Boy was I wrong to think this. Contacted Daniel several hours later at the store who told me he wouldn't replace it nor honor the insurance that was purchased with the furniture because I "waited a year and a half to open the crate." But, I could come back into the store, buy another table, and he'd deduct a little off of that table's price. Daniel was right about me waiting as long as I did to open the crate, but had I known it was a repackaged floor model and not the brand new table I purchased and paid for in-full, then I would not have accepted it when it was delivered to me in December 2024/January 2025. Cassia the saleswoman assured me it was my brand new, unpackaged, never-opened kitchen table. Daniel also told me he no longer does business with Doimo, and the item was no longer carried by the store. I believe it was called Doimo out of Brazil. So, I am stuck with a used table that I paid full price for thinking I was getting a brand new, unopened table. I am 100 % convinced that Cassia sold my unopened, brand new kitchen table to another client or customer while it was being stored at Casa Furniture as a favor to me but then delivered to me the used floor model in its place. This is about as corrupt and dishonest of a salesperson you can find. I recommend you never use Cassia as your salesperson nor buy from Casa Furniture since they know this is what she did. It is apparent that Cassia is dishonest, has no integrity and in my opinion should be fired for deceitfully selling my new table and delivering to me the used floor model instead. Had she simply brought this to my attention, I would have had her reimburse me the full price for the table and moved on quietly. Casa Furniture should refund me for the table's full price plus tax completely, not to mention the delivery and assembly fees associated with it. What makes it even more costly to me is I purchased 8 chairs to set around this table that are literally useless to me now. They were $250-$300 a piece. Do the math. Had I known that Cassia was dishonest and would pull such a deceitful, fraudulent act knowing I wouldn't discover her deceit until practically it was too late for a refund, then I would never have worked with her. I recommend that no one else work with her. Casa Furniture and its ownership/management, now that this has been made public should fire her immediately. If they fail to do so AND allow her to continue representing the company, they are complicit in this conspiracy to defraud me, too. I am filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau, as well as the Orange County Chamber of Commerce. I intend to take this matter to Small Claims Court until I am either refunded in full or prove what Cassia did was improper if not illegal.

A Walk Through IKEA: A Test of Stamina, Direction, and Job Flexibility…read more January 10, 2026 My first serious trip to IKEA made me realize that this is not just a furniture store. It's a carefully designed one-way journey. The layout is extremely thoughtful--so thoughtful that it's almost impossible to visit just one section. Whether you're there to buy a single mug or simply "have a look," you will be guided through the entire store. I managed to do even better than that. I got lost. Not only did I get lost, I walked part of it twice. The most important detail: I was wearing four-inch stilettos. In IKEA, those are not shoes. They're a personal challenge. After what felt like a full hike, I finally reached the exit and thought I was done. That's when the real test began - checkout. Most stores at least give you options: self-checkout or cashier-assisted checkout. IKEA is very decisive. Self-checkout only. So there I was, scanning items, bagging them myself, slowly realizing I had taken on a new role. The screen even politely asked: "Are you a member?" I couldn't help laughing. I had just become a temporary cashier, without an employee discount, and without a paycheck. And then came the final surprise. At the exit - nothing. At Costco, for example, there's always someone checking receipts. At IKEA, the exit is completely empty. For a moment, you might think this reflects IKEA's deep trust in its customers. Then another thought occurs to you: maybe they also saved the salary of that employee. By the end of this IKEA trip, I had completed: a full-store walk, a detour with repetition, a high-heel endurance test, a self-checkout internship, and a quiet reflection on trust and cost control. Next time, I'll wear flat shoes. As for the salary and staff discount - I won't get my hopes up. I spent $53.69 in total that day. $29.95 went to pear-flavored sparkling water. Which means over half of my IKEA budget was... hydration. IKEA: where your legs get a workout, your patience is tested, and your self-checkout skills improve... all in one visit. I guess I overestimated my ability to wear high heels. I may have slightly overestimated my high-heel endurance. In hindsight, I clearly overestimated my ability to survive IKEA in high heels. I confidently assumed I could handle high heels at IKEA. I was wrong.
