Horrible company with overly aggressive and disrespectful sales agents who won't take "no" for an answer and then ask if your husband is home when you say you are not interested. I guess they think women can't make the decisions for their home. They also lie about other neighbors who have signed up for services who don't even live in the neighborhood. When the salesman was asked to leave and told that your neighborhood does not allow soliciting, he laughed and said he didn't care. He also left the water running on the hose when he filled up the tank, when I mentioned this to him on his next visit he started yelling at me on my front porch. Custom service said they would have a different tech come out to service my yard, which only happened once. They send me a text message of service dates and then when it comes time for the appointment I get a text that says, "an Aptive service professional visited your home for an appointment on but it looks like we missed you." I work from home and have been for every appointment. To make matters worst the bug problem has only gotten worst since having their service. read more

The sales people were not honest about the frequency of service and what it included. The service did nothing to help with mosquitoes even though we were paying extra. They called me back 2 months after I cancelled the service to say I still had 1 more treatment on my contract. I specifically asked when I cancelled if I had figured the number of visits correctly and they had had no problem reaching out to try to sell me on continuing service. Needless to say I do. It recommend this company poor product, low value for your money and unethical communication. I felt bad for the sales rep going door to door. He was out hustling. Big regret. We had company over and the guy promised they'd come and perform the initial service. Yup... that never happened. The next service, they just text randomly that they be there in 10 min. Could never get the inside treated. And again, next service, get a 10 min warning, and could t get the inside treated. DONT DO IT!!! Three BBB complaints and they still try to make appointments. I've blocked my card, per the first correspondence, and they kept going. Two no contacts pushed by BBB; Aptive rescheduled my appointment. I had more bugs after they came around; their employees report areas they didn't have access to as being complete. For those who question, I have a privacy fence with locks on the INSIDE, they report they sprayed my yard. It was $200 quarterly if anyone wants a comparison to other options. Unbelievably bad! On second scheduled visit, I was working on my house and outside all day. Never saw a truck, anyone walking around the house, or even smelled pesticide. When I got a text saying my service was complete, I responded and said no one showed. I got a salty response saying I was notified that service was taking place. Customer service is just as good as techs! Unfortunately...I was under contract. I filed a complaint with BBB. On fourth visit I was mowing when tech arrived. Things are getting better right? Not by much. Guy wasn't here for five minutes. He walked around house, sprayed corners of doors and corners of crawl space vents, and left. The invoice listed that tech treated door and window trim, cracks and crevices, plant beds adjacent to foundation, and removed all spider webs. WHAT?!?! I CALL BULLSHIT! Sales manager was going door to door in our neighborhood. Which, is weird in the middle of a pandemic, i must say. Came to our door, and my wife answered. We had been talking about pest control services, so it was perfect timing. She told my wife that they do a lot of the houses in our neighborhood, and that's why she was going door to door. Gave us a discount on the initial treatment, and then $109 quarterly after that. Had her hooked, so she signed the contract. Gave them the payment information. Told us they would be back in a couple of days for the initial treatment. I had an uneasy feeling about the whole thing when my wife told me, but i wrote it off as me being paranoid. Fast forward two days to when they are supposed to do the initial treatment, and no sign of them. I start researching and find out that they are not reliable, and that no one in our neighborhood actually uses their services. I call customer service to see what the deal was, and i could never get through to anyone. They hung up on me, i was on hold for 45 minutes only to be sent to voicemail. Finally got a hold of someone on their chat service, but they were not helpful. I have a hard time trusting companies with poor customer service. The guy finally showed up to do the treatment, but i told him i didn't want it. Didn't sign his little agreement and ended up canceling all together. Luckily it was within the 3 days, so i got out of it. At least it seems like i have so far. Lesson learned. Stick with your gut feeling. Majority of the time it is right. read more

A Warning to all my neighbors that try to use this company! On 3/10/2023 we had Aptive Pest Control come out for pest control. The technician's name the came to our home was Lazarus Yarbrough from the Nashville TN facility location. I proceeded to explain to him about the areas that needed attention around the home. He did unfortunately state a rude remark to me and I quote.." So you're telling me my job?" I looked to him confused and just brushed off the remark as him just having a bad day. Once he finished outside he then came inside the house. Due to the nature of what happened while Lazarus Yarrough was in our home, I can only state that he was inappropriately advancing himself onto one of our family members. I did witness this and immediately called Aptive to launch an investigation on Lazarus Yarrough. It's been 2 weeks so far and the company has yet to contact us on this matter. I am furious about this issue and warning anyone to be extremely careful who you let into your home no matter what company they are employed by. I will continue to press this unacceptable and unethical behavior from Aptive Pest Control. I've called this company every day since the incident and have not had any response! I am pursuing legal action against Aptive because they have not stepped up to resolve the matter. read more

Obviously most people will need exterminators occasionally, but not every single house in an entire neighborhood. They also outright lie and make up things about "all your neighbors have signed up." She took the time to do a deep spray around the fence line to get some pesky colonies. She also sprayed both the inside and outside of my shed, which was crawling with spiders. Aptive showed up for start up visit knocked on the door said he was here for service. I asked where he would start & if he would come inside & treat. He said they would come inside next visit I thought that was odd since that's what I paid for in my agreement . I was told they would start at the road in front cover the whole yard & spray up the side of the house same in the back also & inside. I don't think he sprayed all the way around the house. I tried canceling through email it said the email did not exist ,so I tried calling to be left on hold. I signed & printed paper contract cancellation to send to a Utah address. Okay so it's not Covid. This is the absolute worst bug company I have ever had.. I had aptive for a year and a half and I honestly can not say I was satisfied once with any service.. From spider webs all over the fences.. Infestations of chinch bugs and Ants.. My dogs got ticks in my own back yard.. You could pick any spot in my beautiful grass and rake and watch spiders come out.. nothing worked. Constant complaints every month and not once did upper management reach out we finally had it up to the roof and fired them 4 months from our contract ending and they still want 200.00 cancellation fee.. unbelievable I would Highly recommend staying far away from them. We agreed to a contract with Aptive, and were excited that we were no longer seeing any spiders. We had an issue with billing, and here is my issue. I have spent over 3 weeks, countless hours on hold & numerous emails to no resolve- getting the run- around from representatives who tell me that only a manager can help me with my billing issue. Easy fix you would think, but they have no way of connecting you to a "manager". They are only able to contact them and have them, in turn, contact you back. Well, after not hearing from them over a 4 day period, I decided to call back. Surprise, surprise... they're sorry a manager hasn't been in contact with me but they promise they will ASAP. So 2 days later, I call again.... same answer- "only a manager can help, unfortunately I cant connect you with one but I will send over everything we have spoken about and they will get back to you". Two more days pass, so I decide to email to see if they can help me. Imagine that, they can't help me. Poor, poor, POOR management. They are very eager to take your money & sign you up but will not do anything to correct their mistake. ( Yes, it was a billing mistake on THEIR part ) Local pest control companies would NEVER do this, you would never have to deal with any of these issues and if you did, you would easily be able to contact someone to help you. I was skeptical at first, but i had a very polite salesman and I did read the fine print of the contract so I was comfortable giving it a try. After every treatment, I'm very glad I decided to use them. Their prices are competitive but reasonable for the local market, and for 4 treatments a year at about $120 each, I've never seen a bug inside, even in the TN summer. That's worth it to me. We struggled with ants and beetles and mosquitoes but since starting with Aptive, I've never had an issue since. I also like that their treatments are natural and safe for children and pets. They schedule days to come, you don't even have to be home since it's the outside perimeter. If you need them to come on a specific day, you can very easily call and request what day you'd like. The service reps are ALWAYS polite, informative, and personable. They've been some of the best service providers I've ever had the pleasure of working with. 10/10, I'm happy to continue using their service. Thank you for an excellent product! read more

It is impossible to reach them whatever time of day you call. After 20-25 minutes the system won't let you hold for the next available agent any longer and it makes you leave a voicemail. They NEVER call back. Product works well and the service technician who applied the first treatment was great, but I cannot recommend them because of the lack of support at the corporate level for existing customers. I was approached by a door to door sales representative regarding the pest control service the company provides. He promised a discounted competitive price compared with our current pest control provider. I was told they would spray inside and outside of the home and would come out free of charge in between sprays if there were any problems. The pest controller came to the home for the initial service sprayed and said they would not spray inside the home. I contacted the company and was informed they are not "obligated" to spray inside the homes. I said I wanted to stop the services due to false advertising and the duties that were not performed but promised at the time we signed up for their services. I was told I had to pay $299 for breaking the contract and the cost of the initial service. I wish I had researched the BBB as they have over 400 complaints similar to what I experienced. read more
