I called All star electric for a potential warranty issue on an outlet. I had an outdoor camera…read morethat was not working. I received a text at 12:40 that Peter was on his way to my house. I have this time stamped on my phone. He arrived about 10 minutes later. After he arrived he started looking at the issue and stated he did not know why my camera wasn't working and wasn't sure about what was causing the problem. Turns out it wasn't the outlet. I popped out the battery on my camera and reinstalled it and it started working again. So I fixed the issue. He then started to talk about other things and he was standing at the door writing up my invoice. I looked at the clock and it was 12:30. It took him a few minutes to write the invoice up, which is funny because there are only a few sentences on the invoice. He billed me $210 for quantity of 1. I assume that means one hour. That is a lot for one hour, especially since he didn't fix anything. There is also a charge of $39 for a trip fee and a $14 admin fee. None of these charges were discussed with me ahead of time. He ended up charging me $263 for less than an hours work and he did not even fix the issue. I fixed it. I was also going to get an estimate of doing work at another place I own. We drove there and I asked Peter if he wanted to do the estimate or do a small repair first. He said he would do the repair first since he already started the clock on that job. He was not even out of the car yet and he is billing me. This annoyed me because he already over billed me at the first house. I told him to forget it and I would not have him do the repair or give me an estimate since he already over billed me on the first issue. We were walking away and in front of my tenant Peter proceeds to ask me about the value of my house and asked about the neighborhood. I was shocked he even knew the value of my house and I am not sure why that was relevant unless he was using it for his pricing and how much he would charge me. I certainly didn't appreciate him discussing the value of my house in front of my tenants. This was extremely inappropriate and irrelevant and I was surprised about the conversation. The entire interaction felt unprofessional and I don't feel like I got my moneys worth. I will never use this company again.

He inspected the roof, showed me pictures, interpreted all he found, and walked me through the insurance claim process. He found more damage than the first inspector from another roofing company. Once a claim was filed Bill brought out samples of tiles, and explained how they would upgrade our roof to code. They were here within a week and completed 40 square in one day. We even had a visit by the big boss to see how it was going. After the job, the yard was left clean and free of nails. Bill came back out and inspected the area as a last action. BEWARE...NOT A GOOD PERSON TO DO BUSINESS WITH!…read more It's been just over 6 months since purchasing my hot tub from Marc. He initially was great over the phone, I really liked him, and the purchase was easy. Of course it was. He was getting my money. Since then, it's been all downhill. HORRIBLE, IF NOT NON-EXISTENT, COMMUNICATION AND SERVICE. Keep in mind, he gives a 6 month warranty with his tubs. I trusted Marc, as I had never owned a hot tub before. Big mistake. The hot tub I got was a 110V - plug and play. I was told there were no other special electrical requirements. However, there were other requirements, a 20amp circuit, that I was never told about until he was placing the tub on my patio. This was very expensive to address. He also came by himself to install the tub, so my son and nephew had to help him unload and place the tub. Within a week or so I noticed leaking under the tub, as well as leaking from the valve that controls the direction of the airflow. It took Marc a full 7 days to come take a look. I had to text multiple times for him to finally confirm his repair time. Somehow there was a crack in one of the pipes that had to have happened while the tub was being delivered. He repaired it. It's been fine. He replaced the seal in the directional valve. It still leaks to this day. He's aware of that. At 2.5 months, the hot tub completely quit working. By some miracle, Marc responded promptly and came out the following day, but only because we happened to already have an appt. with him. From what I understood, the heater was faulty and was causing the breaker to trip. Mind you, this was a "new" heater, only a few months old. He replaced it and it has been alright since then as far as I know. At the 3.5 month point, the cover on the tub started tearing where the securing straps attach. Marc installed the clips incorrectly causing too much tension. Also, one of the filter screens had been breaking and deteriorating since I got the tub and at this point there wasn't much left of it. I text him about both issues. He actually responded the same day and said he would look into the cover issue as well as get me a new filter "screen". That was on November 16th, 2019 and I have not heard another word from him, despite multiple attempts to reach him by text and phone. I even tried calling him this morning before writing this review. I really wanted to support a local business man, but people like Marc are why it's best to go with larger reputable companies.
