Came here for pedicures and I'll everything down by pros and cons: Pros: *Friendly and welcoming staff. *So many beautiful colors to choose from. *Aesthetically pleasing and beautiful spa areas *The other customers we talked were really friendly during this visit. *They offer beverages (water, wine, cold drink) *Do an amazing pedicure, we got the basic and were extremely happy. Cons: *Our feet soaked in the water until it got cold, because they took so long to service us. *Gel costs +$18 *It's 2025 and they charge a fee for using a credit card. Overall, I'd return because I loved the service, the staff and the complimentary drinks. But, I'll return with cash. read more

Exceptionally excellent! There isn't a very long wait because there are many employees there. They provide refreshments during your time there. Aqua is quite clean, which I really like. In order to keep the pedicure chairs clean and free of contamination, they use plastic liners. There is no cross contamination because most of the tools they use are disposable. The worst experience ever!!! As soon as you walk in the door, They DONT acknowledge you. No one seems Happy!!! The energy is horrible. If you're black they treat you like the dirt underneath their shoes, even though we're living better than them!! My experience was discrimination. This Salon is simply racist, I've heard them talk about black women's hair and I also heard them mention that white women smelled. Had a good experience! Greeted and helped by others while I was waiting for my nail tech, Anh. I was actually recommended by another nail tech. Anh is very detailed, very knowledgeable, and sweet! I drove from the West Bank to see her. I came in for a mani/pedi gel service. I also appreciate that they use a liner for the tub! All I really cared about was how my nails turned out, everything in between is usually "cherry on top" situation for me, and it turned out to be perfection! Nothing on my cuticles, no cuts, not rushed, smooth for a nude color, literally perfect! I am very happy with how I turned out. read more

My pedicure hurt me for two days after! My big toe nails naturally grow inward. They are not ingrown nails! The techs try to dig the nail out everytime! Last time I had my brows and lip waxed... I left burned! Thought my skin would blister! Never again! I do not recommend! read more

Don't waste your time i was recommended to go to this place and i am very disappointed. The guy that did my nails complained about my nails being long he cut my real nails on one hand and left the other hand longer. I asked for designs because i heard he was good and he told me that i could come back tomorrow because they were closed mind you i paid 50 for a basic full set. i was in there at 430 the shop closed at 630 and i left about 830. First off let me say I'm not a fan of racism at all by any means with any race. Today I felt like I was discriminated against for sure. I was the first person in the salon this morning for a pedicure and was told that I would be able to have a specific person do my acrylic & just because a white person came in I was asked to wait or come back later to complete my service. Super nice!! They have a lot of people working so there isn't a super long wait. The offer refreshments, like water, coke and sprite, which is nice. They are also really hygienic which I really appreciate!! They use the plastic liners in the pedicure chairs so that it's clean and there's no contamination. They also put their scrubs into single serve containers so that they aren't reaching into the same container for every person. Also all their pumice and scrubbers are disposable, so it's a one time use thing. Meaning you won't be sharing a pumice bar with all the customers. The ladies are super nice too!! They also do eyelash extensions which maybe one day I will try!! Love this place! read more

This place is one of the cleanest and nicest salons in Chalmette. There's plenty of services to choose from. They do gel polish, acrylics, solar nails, and SNS nails. There are three types of manicures and pedicures (basic, spa, and ultimate). The basic is your regular pedicure that includes cuticle trimmings, callous removal, exfoliation, and massage. The spa is your basic pedicure including a rejuvenating mask wrapped with hot towels. The ultimate is basic plus spa including paraffin wax and extended massage. These upgrades apply to the manicures also. They also do waxing, body waxing, facials, microdermabrasion, body wraps, eyelash extension, and massages. Fast, attentive, and great results! I'm a cuticle biter, so I always feel weird getting manicures, even though it helps me not to do it. They took great care of me and polished me up with golden purple for Mardi Gras. I appreciated the attention she gave to really cleaning up my cuticles. It may be clean, but the owner Lana has a nasty attitude if you're a woman of color. I know because I've sent plenty of my co-worker and family to Lana and I never mentioned how she treated me and all of the people I sent said she has a bad attitude..Oh and her salon isn't handicap accessible and they constantly speak in their language, so you can't understand them.... read more

Friendly people except for the fact I could understand the gentleman who cut and colored my hair. Huge problem! I asked for some highlight to break up the brown base. I never asked him to change base. He put in a lot of highlights, but they were all over making no sense. The highlights in the back of head were in a straight line so it literally looks like I was a skunk with a helmet. Then he wanted to take off a little hair in back. I said ok but just very little. He just chopped it all up. The color was s dreary full very dark brown (almost black) with dull white highlights. I didn't realize how bad it was until I got home. I spent all summer growing out my bangs for a pixie and then he just cut them straight across mid forehead. I tried to live with it for 5 days, but it was so bad and I couldn't style it in any decent way no matter what product I used or how much I used. Then to add insult to the whole experience I had to go to another salon and pay for a new cut ,color, and highlight. It now is a cute pixie that is easy to style with warm brown base and beautiful highlights. Beware of this salon for hair, it's nice and small cleanliness is decent but hairstylist does not seem to have experience. Don't waste your money! Dont waste your time for a short style. He may be fine for trimming long hair? Men seemed to like their cuts. There is only 2 chairs for hair, one sink, one nail technician desk, and one very,very old pedicure chair read more

I just love this place! I come here all the time with my daughter for manis and pedis. Our favorite is the Ultimate pedicure! It's the bomb! Lana and her staff do a great job. I desperately needed a pedicure & manicure. I hadn't had one professionally done in ages but I do them at home on occasion. As soon as I walked in I was greeted & asked what I wanted. I said a manicure & pedicure. The people in the front were busy with customers so I was sent to the back where there was 1 other person getting a pedicure. I sat in the seat, the lady tending to me was very polite & asked if I wanted something to drink. She filled up the little foot tub with water & immediately started to work on my feet. In my past experiences while getting a pedicure elsewhere they let my feet soak for 20 or 30 minutes. This lady let them soak less than 5. She scrubbed my feet with one of those cheap scrubbers like you can get from the Dollar Stores or even Wal-Mart. She scrubbed both of my feet no more than 5 minutes total. I didn't think that was right but I didn't speak up. After looking at color swatches I decided on a color for my toes & she painted them that color. After she was done she carefully slipped my own flip flops back onto my feet & then moved me to a manicure table in the back. I was shocked because anywhere I've had pedicures before they provided special flip flops. She started giving me a manicure but she didn't listen to me when I said I wanted tips. She kept working on my own nails. It looked nice & my nails were all mostly long except for 1 or 2 so I just let it go. My nails chip easily & I was looking forward to having tips though. She painted my own nails a light color. It wasn't particularly what I wanted but it looked nice so I let it go. When it came time to pay, the total was as much as I would expect to pay for a nice manicure with tips & a nice pedicure. I also paid a nice tip too. I wanted to get my eyebrows waxed & so I was sent to someone else. Between those 3 services & tips I spent $60. When I got home I went to show my husband my feet & they were horrible for having spent money for a pedicure. I do a better job myself. The lady did a good job painting them but that was it. My feet were still rough, dark and not soft at all. I looked in the mirror to see my eyebrows weren't even. I was completely disappointed. I chose Aqua Nails due to their reviews but after my experience I wouldn't recommend them. I waited a long time to spend a good amount of money to have those services only to be disappointed. I wouldn't go back. The entire time I was there the lady who was in the back getting a pedicure done was still getting hers done even when I left. I don't know if they do better if you pay more. No one went over things with me & I wasn't given time to look into it so I just assumed prices were pretty basic, just like all nail salons I've been to are. Most just charge extra for airbrush or fiberglass nails but everyone who gets a pedicure & manicure gets the same great services at the same price.
