This was my 3rd and final visit to this nail salon. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My first two visits were so pleasant and satisifying.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Today, not so much.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I presented a picture of a potential design that I wanted for my nails. I gave the tech (YuYu) multiple options. She ultimately helped pick the one I 1st wanted and was "most intricate." [[HIGHLIGHT]]I asked her MULTIPLE times if she had the time/could to do it and she said "if you have the time I have the time."[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There were times during the design that she seemed unsure of it and had another tech assist. They had to redo some of it multiple times. I then told them I did not like some of it and we changed things up. I would like to Note that they did spend a lot of time, but of no fault but their own. They did not seem very sure of themselves or how to do the design and instead of speaking up and explaining that, after I asked multiple times, they continued. They did ask me if I liked them and I did tell them yes to some nails and no to others, and repaired. At the end of it all, and close to closing time I paid and walked out. In the sunlight I saw some imperfections to the builder gel and how I could see my old set under the refill. I went back in and explained that I did not like that you can see the old set. I also explained how I felt the two designs they struggled the most with appeared messy. I asked if it could be fixed and how could we fix the fact that you can see my old set of nails under the new set. [[HIGHLIGHT]]She explained to me that "we do this all the time and no one bothers."[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I told her I did not like that I could see the old set and had I known it would be so translucent like that, I would have asked for a darker color. This is the color that the tech recommended. I took her advice as she is the expert. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I could see and understand her frustration and I apologized and she told me it was okay she wanted me to be happy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As it went on she began to get more frustrated at which point I asked her to just remove the entire design then, since she said all my nails would appear with the old set under the fresh given the color she applied on top. She started speaking in her native language. I started to feel uncomfortable, asked to just refund me for the design and let me leave w unfinished nails. [[HIGHLIGHT]]She became very confrontational and started disrespecting me in a way I have never been spoken to by a business.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]She told me I "lost all of my dignity, was disrespectful, rude, the worst costumer, a problem since I walked in, and "if I didn't want to pay or couldn't afford to just say that."[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Like I said this was my THIRD visit. It was no issue with payment, the issue was with the quality of work. I acknowledged many times that I was grateful for the time they spent on my nails, but the quality was not there. I also expressed if they could not do such a design, honesty would have been better than trying to basically fake it to you make it. She accused me of wanting things perfect. I explained I just wanted what I paid for. I asked many times how can we make this right and that I just wanted to leave because they were making me uncomfortable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The team continued to insult me and my mother, saying rude, unprofessional, and derogatory remarks.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There was another client there who observed all of this and I was fully embarrassed by the actions. They did end up refunding me for the design. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I had to walk back in and ask a question about the refund and could clearly see and hear them talking about me to said client.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Which again, highly unprofessional. This salon preached professionalism, satisfying their customers, expert work, and top customer service, all of which failed during this visit. I was always willing to pay for my nails, I even asked for a partial refund on the design due to the disservice. From reading past response, I fully expect to be attacked by writing this, but my review matters just as much as yours. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Please learn to accept criticism and maybe you will thrive.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]please beware if you have an opinion. randma went and it was lovely. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We called at 4p and they said we could come in 30mins and we hopped off the couch and was on our merry way. So glad they could fit us in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They check your hair beforehand, our assumption, to make sure no one has lice and to possibly customize your experience a tad. Then you are walked to the headspa area and brought to a room with a curtain and they give you a velcro towel to wrap your top half with (so they can properly give you a neck/shoulder massage)and then you are brought to your "bed" to begin the journey. Each bed area has curtains on both sides so you have some privacy to enjoy your time. I can't speak much on what they did because I was too focused on how good it felt! The velvet glo head spa option was a perfect choice for first timers. Not too much, not too little. After they wrap your hair up, you're brought back to the room with a curtain door and change back into your shirt. Then they blow dry your hair straight with heat protectant and ask if you want hair oil after. I would go again for sure read more

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I and my sister had a wonderful experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We both got the Paradise Head Spa and when it was done, we both wanted it to start over again. First timer looking for a new nail home and I don't think they'll be it. The place is beautiful, very clean. Had an appointment for 2:45. They offer complimentary water,soda,snacks. I was able to get through a good bit of my book before being serviced, but Jenn did a great job with my pedi. Unfortunately, the nails were the problem. While I'm pleased with the design and shaping, the ombre is not at all what I want. The manager I assume did a rush airbrush with a bad top coat and they were ruined before I even paid. Had my first visit Saturday and wasn't really sure what to expect. The paradise head spa was amazing. Gigi was professional, knowledgeable, and did a fabulous job. A mini facial and the most thorough hair washing and scalp massage ever. It also includes a few minor finishes like hand and upper back massage This experience was worth every penny. Just had the "pedicure-in-a-box" for $45. The salon is beautiful, peaceful, clean, and spacious. IF YOU LOVE YOUR KIDS PLEASE DO NOT BRING THEM TO VELVET GLO!!! BOTH of my daughters are being treated for INFECTION around the cuticle (as diagnosed by a physician) directly following having their nails done at Velvet Glow. One daughter will have scarring around her nails for the rest of her life and the other is currently under Dr's care and being treated with THREE different antibiotics. The last Dr said she's seriously concerned about a BLOOD INFECTION!!! Per doctor's orders we will be in the emergency room tonight because, not only is she in SIGNIFICANT pain, her fingertips are purple and as cold as ice. Anyone who has read this far, we went to velvet glow and asked to have them removed properly, they all laughed then started speaking something other than English and became hostile and subsequently all treated her as if she was trying to get over on them in some way and ultimately refused to help. I will be warning as many people as I possibly can and I will also be reporting them to their licensing board, as I truly can not believe that ACTUAL professionals would have behaved this way. read more

I had the Japanese Head Spa and it was so amazing! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Tiffany was great and made me feel so relaxed and comfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My scalp felt so good and my hair was so soft and silky afterwards. Even with the head spa and eyebrow wax it was all high quality and the atmosphere is relaxing and upscale. I told my husband about my experience and he is booked for next week!!
