I called on a Friday to inquire about availability the next day (Saturday). The person that I spoke with said they were completely booked except for a slot around 3ish. When we arrived for our appointment, we selected a polish and was seated immediately. It didn't look booked at all but maybe they have a staffing issue. Overall, there could be a bit more upkeep to the space. The non-gel polishes were just thrown on a shelf and didn't look desirable. The general area also looked like it could have been cleaned more but they use the plastic liners (which was nice). Because I was rushed for time, I only got a basic pedicure. My toes looked nice so no complaints there. read more

First let me say they did not do my original set, i went somewhere else and i hated it:(... So i scheduled a 2:00 appointment with City Nails and when i arrived I was greeted with a smile and seated immediately. (that's so rare no A-days there's almost always a wait) I had my 7 month old baby with me so time is super important because of course babies can only be seated and still for so long! The lady NINA (i believe was her name) was super fast and efficient, she reshaped my nails, ombréd them and played Peek a boo with my baby lol! My Nails were perfect!!! This is usually my favorite spot but the lady that does my nails wasn't available. I sadly had to pay $55 dollars for a refill of ombré nails that was the wrong shade and done poorly. Kind of bummed at the quality provided and the way I was handled by Luuann who did my nails in a rush. read more

Do yourself a favor and visit this super chill salon. Very clean and everyone is really nice. I've been visiting Kayla for all my dip and gel needs since May and I truly have enjoyed myself. Kayla takes her time and is very attentive to the details! I have referred friends who also give great reviews about Kayla as well as Jenny. I normally ask for dip on my nails with some sort of design I have picked out already. I switch back and forth from regular paint to gel polish for my pedicure. I've never left the salon unsatisfied! Haven't been to this place. But if their customer service in person is anything like how they treat you over the phone, I won't be spending a dime here. I called to ask for a certain service and the first person that answered the phone was rude as hack.... So I waited a few minutes and called back. It wasn't any better. So I used to go the one in the city and the work is amazing . Now that I work near the Harahan shop, it seems hard to even get an appointment. The desk person always seems like I am bothering him anytime I come in. He always says they are booked but the shop was completely empty both time I came in. I have stop trying to even make an appointment and it sad because I really like the nail techs work but customer service with the desk person and the lack of care has turned me away read more

Called multiple times yesterday and this morning to set up an appointment and no one answered the phone. Went into the salon as a walk in just to see because I knew I would likely need an appointment. The nail tech asked what I was there for and I asked if they had any availability for a gel manicure this morning. She scoffed and said you don't have an appt right, no we don't. I said thank you and walked out. Could hear her laughing with her client about me even asking because they are obviously busy. I won't be back to this establishment which is a shame because the reviews are great. They should answer the phone if appts are necessary. read more

Do you want to have your feet forced in hot wax???? then this is the place for you!!!! i was getting the deluxe pedicure and she came out w this red liquid in 2 separate bags and grabbed my leg and stuck my foot in it and within about 2 seconds i thought my foot was being put into boiling hot water or maybe something like a chemical burn feeling. i immediately grabbed my leg and pulled it from her and it took her a second to finally let me go and realized i actually couldn't handle how hot it was. almost an hour later and my foot is still numb. clearly there is no temperature control going on. and they are lucky i didn't allow myself to cry in front of every customer and make a scene like i wanted to because IT HURT THAT BAD. i asked at the end if i could get a 10% discount for burning my foot and she said nope there was nothing she could do about it. spoke to the owner and still, was not given anything except paying full price for my foot to be burned. not to mention i found wax (that must have been splattered) on my plastic reusable starbucks cup & my MK purse. i really did like this place but now, i'm not going back:) read more
