My family and I stayed at this vacation rental for our son's baseball. We've had problems since before we even arrived. We always choose our vacation around comfort and relaxation. We received none of the sort. A few days after they received our final deposit(30 days prior), I received an email stating that the pool & hot tub would be out of service because of renovation. They offered a 10% discount. I was very disappointed and so were the kids. After many times of trying to contact the property, leaving messages and emails. They finally answered. When I was voicing my concerns, they told me that the west end pool was still open (unheated) and can give us a token to go down the street to use the pool at the aquatic center. Which defeats the purpose of convenience. I then asked if we could just cancel. She said, "Sorry, no cancelations." I explained that this is our only vacation, and we base them around relaxation, & pool. She said, "Sorry, ma'am," with no compassion or empathy. She said they could give an extra 10% off and a token and nothing more. Then she proceeded to tell me that she was hanging up on me as I was talking. So, at that point, I decided to let it go. Upon arrival, we learned that all the pools were closed, with postings all over the building stating that ALL POOLS will be closed as of December 26th. So they clearly knew prior about all the pools and were just blowing smoke to pacify about the "west pool" being open. Also, our unit was supposed to have bunk beds, and they reassured me when I asked prior to booking. We were also missing a remote in the master bedroom. I tried to call the front desk, but they just had a non working prop phone. I used my cell phone and called to voice my concerns. Diane was very rude and hung up on me. Then I called back to try to understand why she was so rude with not one once of compassion. I asked her if she had children, and she said," No, but she's sorry." Then hung up yet, AGAIN!!! Then 2 people showed up at my door. One was the maintenance man and a woman with a clip board. They said under Florida law you don't need an emergency landline, we just have it because "the Canadians" like it. I'm not to sure what that meant, but ok. The morning of checkout, my son wasn't feeling very well, and the same 2 people were at our door at 9:25am to basically kick us out. They said you have until 10am. Then we are charging you (with a smile). The better business bureau will be contacted!!

Had an amazing spring break at Aqua Panama City beach! Aqua is a Luxury condominium with great amenities They have two pools one of them is heated they have a hot tub, cafe and more. It's walking distance from pier park, restaurants, entertainment and shopping! We got complementary beach chairs and umbrella for the duration of our stay. Our condo was clean newly renovated. Great location, best place to stay in Panama City beach! We will be back !

We LOVE Aqua!! Thanks for another great stay!! Check in was very easy and parking was very convenient. We stayed on the 14th floor and had a great view of the beach and the pier. Might I add, there was a pirate festival, so we enjoyed watching the fireworks from our balcony and the music from across the street at Shuckums. The weather was fantastic, and the ocean temps were in the mid 80s. Can anyone say, "October sunburn?" We left before Hurricane Michael made his arrival and understand that Aqua faired well- thank goodness. Our thoughts and prayers are with the residents of PCB and the Florida Panhandle. You will recover, and we plan to return soon!

Vacation with the family! Unit 1504 view.

Aqua resorts and condos is an amazing location with amazing views. We specifically stayed in unit 1504 for about 3 days. Our view was an unobstructed ocean view with tons of privacy. We left the doors/window open the entire time. The unit was recently renovated and upgraded. You have 3 HUGE TVs for the kids, a full kitchen, and a garden tub with a separate shower in the master suite. You can pretty much live here for a month and not get tired of it. The back of the property butts up against a private beach entrance so you have pretty much 24/7 beach access. There is also a heated indoor/outdoor pool in case you have little ones and they want to get in the water. You're about 2 blocks away from Pier Park with touristy shopping and restaurants. We'll be looking at this unit again if we decide to make another trip to PCB. The only thing that I would say get ready for is the low/slow internet connection. The property has shared internet access, so everyone getting on will slow it down. Its nothing that unit 1504 can do about that.... So if you have a device or TV that needs decent high-speed internet, you're out of luck. But hey, we were on vacation and were meant to unplug.

View from 22nd floor, looking to the pier.

Great place to stay in PCB! Right on the beach and within walking distance to Pier Park. The skywalk is convenient so you don't have to cross the street to the parking garage. 2 pools and hot tubs. Our room was very large, clean, and well decorated. We stayed on the 22nd floor and the view was incredible, especially at sunset. The top 2 floors have glass barriers on the balcony so your view is not obstructed. Staff was always available for help and there is security at night. Great for families!

    Security guard on right.

I want to be fair and clear about my experiences at Aqua. We have stayed here a few times over the last few years. The rooms have been good. The front desk staff friendly. The rooms have been clean. The "security guard" that patrol the front drive are horrendous. THERE IS A HUGE DISCONNECT BETWEEN AQUA AND THEIR 3rd PARTY SECURITY. Everytime we would pull up front to check in, a security guard would tell us we can't park there, even just to check in; even though there are several signs saying "15 minute parking". As a result, we simply found other places to stay. This year we thought we would give Aqua another try. We booked 2 units. I called the front desk at 3:30 pm to let them know we would be arriving at 4:45 pm. I spoke with Sherry, who was very friendly and pleasant. She told us to pull up in the front to check in. I asked her if she was sure about that, because every time we had ever tried to use the designated check in parking area we were run off. She reassured me that it would not be an issue, and even told me that since we had booked one of the 2 ground floor rooms we could run our bags into our room. I again asked if she was sure because of our previous experiences. She told us yes it's fine because it is literally only 10 steps from the front drive to our room (She wasn't kidding, it is indeed only 10 steps from the front drive to the ground floor units). When we arrived at 445, I pulled up to front far right space, neatly out of the drive area so that other cars could get through. I noticed a nice shiny new gray Camaro carefully parked in the first space directly in front. This detail will be meaningful in a moment. As soon as I opened the car door, a security guard walked up and told me that I can't park there. I explained that I was just checking in and would be moved in less than 4 minutes, and that I had just spoken with Sherry and she had specifically told me to park there. He again insisted that I move. The amount of time he was taking to tell me in great detail how I needed to drive to the parking garbage, told me the code to get into the garage, told me to park and then take the garage elevator up to the 3rd floor, cross over the street using the breezeway, then take the elevator in the main building down to the first floor and check in, and how after I check in I should take the main building elevator back up to the 3rd floor, walk back across the street using the breezeway, then take the garage elevator back to the level I had parked in and then unload my car and do the whole process all over again to get my luggage to my room. I literally could've checked in 10 times while he was telling me this. I again reiterated that he should just speak with Sherry. He refused and stated that the fire department had told him that the drive can't be blocked. I looked in disbelief at the completely clear drive (as all 3 cars were far to the right and the drive was completely open). I pointed to show him how the drive was completely clear, and then I pointed to the 3 large signs that read "15 minute max parking". Again, he insisted that I move and would not let me park there. I resentfully drove across the street to the garage and then did the hike and 2 elevator rides to get to the front desk. When I walked in I told the front desk clerk that I would never be back, and explained in detail what had just happened. The young girl was polite and apologized but made no explanation or attempt to call anyone to clear up the disconnect between security and management. She made no effort to even question the security guard, who was inside the lobby at this time. Another guest was in the lobby and had just had the exact same thing happen to him and he was even more upset than I was! In fact security had called the police on him. It was very disappointing that no one at the front desk offered to resolve the situation. I asked for Sherry but she had gone home for the day. A man in his 40's came from the back office to the front counter and I just knew that he was going to resolve the misunderstanding. Instead he very obviously and awkwardly acted like he had not heard what was going on and ignored the entire situation. I left the front desk and I noticed that the only car now out front was that gray Camaro. This afternoon (3 days later) I walked out to the front drive and guess what I witnessed? You guessed it, that security guard was coming into work, driving that gray Camaro, and parked his car in the front drive in front of the 15 min parking sign. Seriously? I want to stay where I am treated like a guest, not somewhere where I am harassed before I even get to check in for vacation. There are too many wonderful places to stay that will treat me better, and they will get my business in the future!

It was very accessible, had a great view, a sink and large fridge and microwave and a large bathroom. We booked for the beach access and that was one of our favorite parts! It was so easy to get on and off the beach. The pool offerings are great, but the lazy river is not lazy! The current is very quick and it's hard to make the turns. My husband and I both scraped our knees and toes on that pool! It was the toughest pool I have been too. That's why it wasn't 5 stars. I did send a message to the front about the pool. With the amount of families here I really wish they had hired life guards for the pool. We were sitting to the side of the pool, and had kids do a hand stand and kick us. Kids were also doing cheer poses and moves that are unsafe in the pool. I saw kids dip each other in the water in a way where they could drown the other. Just made me feel uneasy, and we really didn't use the pool after that. The other downside was when we arrived only 1 out of 3 elevators were working so you had to wait or use the service elevator. On Thursday they fixed the second elevator- but the 3rd elevator had not been fixed by checkout Saturday. The other reason why it's not a 5 star rating. I talked to the front desk and suggested they give guests an event calendar for the week- we didn't know they had poolside movies and a fire performer until we heard music coming from outside. The front desk workers couldn't really tell me what movies were playing because their events screen was broken. I also wish they had a paper menu and activities calendar in the rooms or displayed on paper if their technology isn't going to work well. Another thing was since there is tile throughout there is water everywhere. It would be cool if they had like a drying station or large mats by the pool areas/ entrances so water isn't tracked through the hotel. Other than that, we loved the location, the breakfast, the breakfast seating, beach access and amenities! I would definitely come back for the value of this hotel, and hopefully next stay the elevators and technology will be working.

First off, we were charged the full amount for our room a few days before our stay, we were then charged the full amount a second time the day after check in. ($2600, so not a small amount of money) The manager told us it will take 5-7 days to refund. It's now been over a week and we haven't gotten a refund and have not heard back from the hotel after numerous emails and phone calls Second, our room smelled so strong like weed the final 3 days we were there. To the point that our clothes smelled like weed when we got home. I told the front desk and they came up numerous times and sprayed stuff to help the room smell better. It helped for a few hours. The girl at the desk said someone must be smoking even though it's a non smoking property. We couldn't move rooms due to the hotel being fully booked (totally understandable considering it was spring break) but nothing was ever done in an attempt to find the room of smokers and ask them to stop blowing their smoke into our vent. We have a 2 year old and to have all her clothes smell like weed is pretty frustrating. Lastly, we paid for parking when we checked in so there would be no extra fees at check out, we were then charged for parking ($120) again after check out and once again we have not heard anything back about a refund. Like I said the staff was amazing. But losing almost $3000 is not acceptable. Not everyone can afford to just have 3 Grand taken from them. And having no communication regarding a refund is very frustrating. If we don't hear back soon we'll have to contact a lawyer. I'd highly recommend staying somewhere else based off the money and weed issues. But if you can afford to just lose money, then definitely book here. If it weren't for the double charge I'd be giving a 4 star review

Front desk weren't especially open for discussion when asked where the sofa-bed went. And the hotel was full?? A huge miscalculation in the equation for us, since we planned for 5 days stay. It was expensive also and was chosen due to that it fitted 6 pax... One in the party sweared to oceanfront and that was indeed breathtaking. So we went to Walmart and bought an air mattress, but obviously not so good option to sleep for 5 nights. The resort however was clean and the staff in general was attentive and service minded. Especially the staff at the front door was one of a kind. In the steaming hot weather there was always a smile and we will fix attitude when golf cart picked and dropped us to the parking lot. The food in the View bar was great, but a little more attentiveness could have been better. The restaurant had also amazing food, butpricey. It helped that you get 25 paper money for each day that can be spent in the bars or the eating places in addition to kids under 11 eat free. The ice cold water, fused with berries and the ice cold tea is a work of genius, placed outside by the pool and the lobby. The cost for an umbrella and a couple of chairs 60 dollars at the beach is pricey, so go to Walmart and buy instead chairs for the entire tour for the cost of one day. The beach was clean but unfortunately too much seaweed, so that was a minus. Rooms weren't cleaned but the towel and garbage was changed and picked. We had to book that a day prior. We didn't have a roomphone that worked the entire trip, in addition the drawer by the bed, wouldn't close. That was also annoying but again the pools, the oceanfront view and the beach all made up for that. So all in all, new experience and fun for the small kids but we will look for other option that aren't that pricey but with oceanfront. It was many of those that weren't listed online that were better in terms of location and cost
