We have stayed here for probably 6-8 years! It's a mom and pop so you can't reserve online which is a bit of a pain. Great prices and right on the beach. Occasional people that like to blast music and take over the common area and leave rafts etc in the halls that I wish the management would control more. But absolutely would recommend read more

I've stayed at the Sunset Inn every summer for probably the last 15 years. It's simple, well kept, and beach front. I really enjoy this area of PCB as it is quieter and not too busy. You are also in walking distance of several restaurants and gas stations. The only reason I am giving four stars is because it is an older hotel and nothing fancy, but I'd recommend it to anyone! read more

I wish I had found this place sooner. Me and my whole family wanted to come on vacation together but it was hard trying to find a room to fit all of us and be able to afford it as well. But then I found this place and it totally meets my expectations to the fullest. Not only was there enough room for everybody we all could afford it without being broke by the time we got here. Haha. As with others, we knew we were getting into a no-frills vacation room. However, we were pleasantly surprised with the whole experience. The rooms, even the "across the street" ones, are literally right next to the beach. The price was right and the location was phenomenal. The room could have been a little cleaner, wifi would have been nice, and the walls were fairly thin... but who cares?? Look: over there! Beach! Now back to your wallet: money left for booze! Perfect place for vacationers on a budget! We went in June 2010. The price was great for being on the beach (they offer rooms across the street for a few bucks cheaper too!), our room was spacious and CLEAN with all the amenities, including extra pillows and blankets right in the room. Did it look like a 5 star Hilton? No. Did it need to? NO. The beach is RIGHT THERE! Who cares how outdated the decor is? The staff was super nice and helpful. The pool was big and very well kept. They have a huge beach side deck with tables and grills. My favorite thing about this place is the location. It's not on the main strip, so there's no loud drunks running past your door at 3 am or parties going on next door, but it's still close enough to check out all the restaurants (check out Schooner's, it's delicious!) and shopping you could want! Overall, awesome place to stay! If the oil doesn't ruin the gulf, I will definitely be returning. :) read more

this review needs to be prefaced by the fact we knew we were going to get what we paid for here...we were getting in late on a Friday and had plans to go to a show and leave early on Saturday. We just wanted a cheap spot by the beach that wasn't totally disgusting - and that is exactly what we got. The place wasn't anything to write home about but it was pretty clean and the people were nice and helpful. Sat morning we wandered down to the beach (the beach front rooms on the first floor opened onto a nice little private deck with bbqs) where we got lured into a most relaxing day in a cabana. The beach wasn't crowded, the water was perfect and the cabana guy was super nice and accomodating. For not expecting much Id say this place was pretty good over all. read more

Been going PCB as of kid for 60 yrs now this was the best trip EVER because of Sunset Inn. The Inn is very clean and spacious love the kitchenet and staff was friendly helpful and not a one of them didn't hesitate in assistance or answer questions. What a hidden gem! NOT A HIGH RISE RESORT! A wonderful clean, comfortable, relaxing, surprise! We had the opportunity to upgrade to oceanfront ground floor, and we will never regret it! This white sugar sand beach is pristine. We were just before prime season, and I was able to do sunset and sunrise sitting alone on the beach for as far as I could see. Grill, sit on the deck, read on the beach, swim in the pristine pool, or just walk for miles on the beach kind of place. Walk to local restaurants, or short drive to all the resort town activities. The kitchen worked great for us. Very workable, complete, worn but clean. I like to cook, and we both enjoy eating, soooo, friends over for grill out on the deck, favorite coffee looking out the window at the stormy morning waves, packing lunch for day hikes and drives. Remember, we were just off season. This was a great affordable time for us, we never expected. This place is just like me..... showing my age, but with great bones, squeaky clean, and still in finely maintained condition! It is to the families credit they have retained their establishment in such a desirable resort area. read more

This is an amazing motel. Everything is surprisingly good, given the prices, the way the place actually looks like and that it's PCB. The rooms are always clean, the owners are always courteous and accommodating, the access to the beach is fabulous, everything is well maintained, the pool is always clean and there's very little about which I can complain. Came across Sunset Inn in 2016 via Yelp but they were completely booked for the dates we needed. Decided to come back to PCB this summer. Absolutely loved the reviews I had read for Sunset Inn & was excited to find they had a room for the dates we needed this summer. I can see why families have been staying here time after time for many years. I believe this may be our families go to from now on as well. My husband & I met a gentleman our second night who has been staying here with is family for many summers. He spoke highly of the owners & how they are treated. Did not stay here. Looked like a cool retro-motel. However they are listed on Yelp as a dog friendly business and they are NOT! We made reservations and when we arrived there were signs every where "No Dogs". They were nice and refunded our money. We went down the street to Boardwalk Motel and they were dog friendly and half the price. read more

My favorite hotel/motel in PCB. Been staying here once or twice a year for 10 years. Yes, it's not the Ritz, but I feel at home here... Don't care for the Ritz, like the friendly owners here and all the caring folks that work here. If I won the BIG lottery and had my pockets stuffed with money, I'd still stay here. Only downside is they don't allow pets, so my pup has to board when we go. read more

This place is great for those on a budget. For the price you pay, you end up with a full kitchen and a clean room. Although there are no amenities and the decor is outdated, the place is clean and the staff is very nice. The only issue I had was that we had found a palmetto bug in the room the first night, but it was the only one and no others were found. The other issue is that the parking lot is very cramped and hard to park in. Other than those couple things the place was great, it was right on the beach and it was cost friendly. read more

This place really is amazing. Sure it's not near the Summit and near all the chaos but you gotta take it with a grain of salt. You get the best of both worlds bc it's right next to the beach and it's always calm and not too many people but walk down a mile or so and the chaos ensues. the room I stayed in was amazing. Futon, two couches, 2 bedrooms one with two queens and one with a king bed. They had all necessities such as laundry machine, pans, soap, shampoo, etc. really loved my stay here and the service was friendly. read more

Went in 2012 for spring break! Had a great time! This hotel was perfect and home feel to it. They had security at night and one section is across the street where I stayed. Location was perfect and the room was clean, and staff friendly too. Met some awesome kids who were from Ohio who I didn't know, drove down for spring break. It was awesome. We all had a great time! Absolutely horrible!! Myself and my 3 children(ages 6,4,1) caught head lice from our room. I spent all Friday treating my children's heads for lice and we left immediately after I was finished. The hotel assumed responsibility and purchased the lice treatments but refused to refund for Friday night, after the entire day that day was spent doing lice treatments inside our hotel room. Tried to speak with the owner before I left Friday night and was told he'd be in the next morning. Called him Saturday morning and he pretended not to be the owner and said the owner was out of the country. They didn't change our sheets on our beds until I took a lice bug to the office Friday morning(our 5th day being at the hotel) he then told me that they change the sheets on the 3rd day(didn't happen) then said the 4th day... but yet it was the 5th day and our bedding was only changed because of the bug discovered. Then he tells me that they don't have a set policy on when they change the bedding on their beds(DISGUSTING!!!) it's no wonder my children have lice and are having to endure the pain of having their hair combed and picked through hours each day! I would highly recommend finding somewhere else to stay! It might be cheaper than the other places around.... but you get what you pay for and we got LICE!!!! read more

Rooms are good nice place to stay in but, if you need internet connections for work or other stuff not the hotel for you. Went down real fast from 4 to 0 rating. Keeps disconnecting from internet every 10-15 minutes. I'll pay more for a good internet. read more

We had a rough start staying here. We checked into the hotel paid for the rest of our days and brought all our stuff in our rooms. We then turned down the A/C to cool down the rooms and went to dinner. When we returned from dinner, one room was still warm. We called down to the front desk to get someone to check on the issue, and no answer. So at 10:15pm we walked down to the office that was supposed to close at 10:30pm and no one was there. So we called the emergency number and it went to voice mail. left a message and they never called back. Then my daughter went to take a shower and there was no shower head on the shower. I guess you get what you pay for. The rates are, and so far, so is the service and room quality. If things get better I will update this review, but so far, the price, which isn't all that cheap, and its location is all that is has going for it. I don't think they even have an ice machine. read more

The service I experienced was not good. The staff was not very friendly nor customer service orientated. The room phone did not work and WI FI was off and on. This particular Inn charges your credit card up front and wont refund your money if you have to check out early. The room had a musky smell. The bathroom smelled like urine and the door was very narrow to walk through. The location was ok. read more
