I ordered a new sauna heater on April 16, 2026, and now -- almost 7 weeks later -- I have no heater, no explanation of what heater will be ordered or delivered, and no refund despite canceling the order. Here's a partial summary of my communications with AquaQuip: *4/16/26: After providing the prior sauna heater's specs, sauna dimensions, wiring, etc., I ordered the heater recommended by C. Requested a list of installers recommended by AquaQuip *4/16/26: Credit card charged ~$1900 *5/4/26: Called to check status. C told me that he would: Check with supplier on delivery status and get me an installation bid *5/12/26: Having heard nothing, I called again to check status. Was told that: sauna had mistakenly not been ordered, but that it would be and would arrive within 2 weeks. *5/12/26: J called to tell me that the heater recommended by C was not appropriate for my sauna. I again provided the prior heater's specs, sauna dimensions, wiring, etc., and sent photos by text. J reiterated that they would get me the name of a recommended installer and propose an alternative heater *5/16/26: Having not heard back, I followed up with J via text *5/22/26: Having not heard back, I followed up again with J via text *5/26/26: Having not heard back, I called main number and again requested update by VM. Said I would cancel the order and request a refund if no response that day. *5/27/26: Called to cancel order. I was switched to another AquaQuip branch and then told I would be refunded $1500, not the $1900 I was actually charged. I requested a call from the Shoreline branch to resolve amount owed. *5/28/26: Having heard nothing, called back Shoreline branch. Spoke to R and was told that the refund request was "pending with management" and that I would be contacted promptly to confirm cancellation and amount. *6/2/26: Having again heard nothing back from R or management, I disputed the charge through BoA. I can report that all of the AquaQuip representatives I spoke to sounded professional and helpful on the phone, but clearly the systems in place to recommend solutions and follow through on orders and refunds appear to be hopelessly broken. I was able to order a suitable replacement heater from Cedarbrook Sauna+Steam in Woodinville. They had it in stock, I picked it up the next day, and it works great. And it cost $900 less than the heater that AquaQuip recommended and was never able to deliver. read more

Bought a brand new Nordic Jubilee and followed all instructions in the manual and the hot tub doesn't work (doesn't heat). Called the store and was told it would be two weeks to get someone to take a look. We insisted that someone take a look at it sooner and a nice woman from the store came that same day and confirmed something was indeed wrong with the tub. The earliest appointment for a technician was two weeks later and the technician came, took a look at it quickly and decided it needs a new panel and it would be another 1-2 weeks. Everyone at the store seems very casual about the fact that they sold us a 12k tub that doesn't work and there is no urgency to get it fixed. We called last Friday to talk to a manager about returning it because it seems they sold us a lemon and they have not returned my call. My husband called today to also inquire and did not receive a return call. Everyone is very nice but there is no follow through and it seems like their only concern is getting you to buy a tub and don't seem that worried about the fact that they are selling products that don't work. I hope to update this review with better news but am not holding my breath. read more

You can buy basic cleaning supplies, the people in the store are nice, but if you want parts (like a new cover or lid holder it's slower than online and the service is not good. They are not familiar with the details so you'll need to do your own research. I bought a new lid and one month later I followed on on their plan to measure...two months later with no follow up for them to schedule a visit to measure I checked in again. They then said that lid type is no longer available and offered a lower quality one for the same price (said my initial purchase was a sale price so can't discount from my initial purchase for the lower quality one). Bait and switch? No need to measure for the off the shelf vinyl version... It look longer than forecasted for delivery. When it arrived the lid holder ordered was the wrong model. Even though when ordering I shared a picture of the exact model we needed. They returned the old (would order the corrected one until I drive out there with the return) and said the corrected one would be available in about one week. I followed up after 12 days and they said nothing in their on-site stock... they will need to order it. About another week out. Appears they never ordered the corrected replacement on 7/13 as they said they did. Would have been faster and cheaper online. Tried to buy local and got penalized for it. read more

Buyer beware, atrocious service. We purchase a Sundance hot tub from Aqua Quip in Jan 2022, and it was delivered in April 2022. The cost all-in was over $20k, and we felt confident in our purchase given the 5 year warranty protections we were sold on. From the moment it arrived, it has not functioned properly. It repeatedly tripped the breaker, multiple times a day, starting the day of delivery. We reported this immediately to Aqua Quip, and over the course of the next 18 months, we have had well over 10 service calls and have ended up right where we started (frankly, it should have been more service calls, but it is very difficult to get them to come out or communicate properly). Initially, Aqua Quip made great efforts to blame our home electrical circuit, but when it became clear that that was not the issue, finally isolated the bubbler as the issue. It has been replaced multiple times, with no improvement. We finally got fed up and went into Aqua Quip in-person to try and get either a replacement or a refund. Unsurprisingly, we were told no, but the manager gave us her cell phone number and asked us to reach out later in the week after she has had time to research what is going on. Of note, she described our situation as unusual, but reading the other one-star reviews, it sounds like we are in good company. After she asked around, she reported to us that, believe it or not, a new bubbler was on order. The plan, as of now, is to try to replace the bubbler again, and if/when that doesn't work, issue a replacement. When I inquired about when the bubbler would arrive, she said "I knew you were going to ask that.. that is the only answer I was waiting to get an update on." That was over 2 weeks ago, and here we are, in exactly the same place. No word from them. Strongly feels like they're just dragging out the time on the warranty so they can tell us to go away, or waiting for us to give up. Avoid buying here if possible. You will pay premium prices for poor service and months of frustration. read more

Well, the saga continues. The spa still hasn't been repaired and in August it will be two years. They were supposed to come out today again. I confirmed with the service department yesterday that it was a go. My husband stayed home. We started draining the spa yesterday and disassembled the stairs. Only to have them call at 1030 this morning to say they weren't showing up again. I've left voicemails for Brian Quint Pres., and Greg Child's Maint Mgr. this has been an absolute nightmare their service is THE WORST. I'm sure it's fine if there isn't a problem but if there is, they are horrible to deal with. read more

Bought a new spa less than 6 months ago from these folks. Dropped it on a corner during delivery which is a bummer but can happen but CAN NOT get them to come out and replace the cover and repair insulation from rodents after half a dozen calls to manager/owner Jason or the Service department. Service has denied even having the part even though Jason confirms they do and he claims they are inept. Gives the consumer great confidence. Really frustrated. We purchased a Regency gas fireplace from AquaQuip about 4 years ago. The fireplace has had numerous problems from the beginning: intermittent buzzing as loud as an alarm clock when the fan is running, problems running the fireplace during windy conditions (which are nearly constant in our location), and a frightening problem that causes a loud boom when the gas has been on for a while but for some reason isn't igniting, then suddenly ignites with an explosive force - enough to rattle the glass and protective metal screen on the fireplace. This Regency is a potentially dangerous piece of junk, and AquaQuip wasn't too interested in making at least the installation problems right (loud buzzing fan, proper flue installation for windy location). So, save your money & buy another gas fireplace brand from another place. AquaQuip Shoreline has gone downhill. read more

Needed repair for a somewhat new fireplace purchased at aqua quip (less than 5 years old). Unfriendly and inconvenienced communication through text messages. Had to wait months for service and was never quoted for any of the work, just sent and outrageous bill. Will look into alternate options for any future fireplace needs. read more

Purchased a fireplace and had it partially installed. The backing was the wrong size, which I accept responsibility for because I thought we could make the standard size work. Unfortunately it did not and we ordered a custom piece after the initial install. The piece arrived and has been available for 2 weeks now, but no one from the store has called me back to reschedule. I only know this part arrived because I walked into the store and the retail staff relayed this to me. The installers came initially the Saturday after thanksgiving. They did not wear masks inside my home. They left the chimney only partially capped. Well, with the major snowfall and rain afterwards, a lot of water fell into or melted into my house! I asked the store about this. Again the retail staff were helpful, and informed their management. I have not heard from any management nor the install team on when to expect this to be resolved. I have been using Aqua Quip for over 40 years. Today when I brought in a water sample for testing there were no other customers in the store. The salesperson looked me up on the computer and asked where I buy my chemicals. Truth is, we don't use the hot tub much, don't buy a ton of chemicals, and use both Spa Depot and Aqua Quip. Three days ago I spent $55.00 on brominating concentrate at Aqua Quip. ( The same brand and product costs $30.00 on Amazon!) Over the last year, I've spent over $175.00 at Aqua Quip. She told me the water testing is free for customers, but would be $20.00 for me. It was a bizarre interaction. Needless to say I won't be back. read more

I've gone here in the past for Big Green Egg Eggssories and lump charcoal. No price tags on any of the BGE products or charcoal. Pricing seems arbitrary -- forcing an adversarial visit and haggling. Last trip in, went to purchase 20# bag of Lump Charcoal for the BGE. Sales rep rings it up as $40. Ugh...BGE website shows the Charcoal for $26.49 per bag. Forces me to feel like a cheapskate questioning the $10+ difference. I'll look elsewhere. read more

I *should* have spent half as much and gone with black pine but I *thought* I was getting more by spending more at Aqua Quip. Turns out I just spent more.. lesson learned. My goodness. I hate to give people horrible ratings, but these guys really deserve it. We were told we could return an umbrella that did not function as promised. When we brought it back the young man told us that he didn't know who told us we could return it, but he didn't want it back. He said they were just going to throw it away and it was past the 30 day return window anyway. Absolutely zero customer service. He didn't even act like he wanted to help us or figure out how we ended up there with an giant umbrella stuffed in our car! Terrible company. Bought a "custom" hot tub cover from this store. They came out to measure it and then installed a cover that didn't fit and screwed up the cover lifter. Many promises to fix the problems. One of their guys does finally come out, remarks that they messed up, but does not have the right tools to do the job. Many missed appointments later over TWO YEARS and the problem still isn't fixed. Even wrote the store a letter about the problem, and they didn't even respond. I've been meaning to write this review for some time now. Back in November of 2016 I purchased Green Mountain Grill from Aquaquip in Shoreline just a couple days before Thanksgiving with plans to smoke our turkey this year. The grill we got was defective and after several calls/emails with the manufacturer, we were not able to get it working. To make a long story short, I contacted Aquaquip the day before Thanksgiving to see if they could help. Their staff stayed late so I could get there after work to pick up a replacement grill. They had even offered several times to come out to our house to deliver the new grill and pick up the old grill. Throughout the process, every person I spoke with at Aquaquip was genuinely interested in making sure our thanksgiving meal a success. I called Aqua Quip Shoreline for help with my Hot Tub as the jets were not working. Erica talked to me and looked up the manual of my hot tub to walk me through trouble shooting what the problem could be. I bought my home in Shoreline 5 years ago and the Divine Hot Tub was already installed and running. I have it cleaned 3 times a year and filters changed as needed. I use the Frog chemical ball and change the silver side once a month. I also use Shock and test the water with strips once a week. In five years there has never been a problem. Erica at Shoreline Aqua Quip stayed on the phone with me as we diagnosed what the possible problem could be. Aqua Quip always tests the water if I take a sample in and suggests what chemical response I need. Erica was very helpful and went above and beyond. Other staff have also been very helpful over the years. Erica after one hour told me that Aqua Quip does not service or sell Divine Hot Tubs but she gave me two referrals for possible repair. 5 Star service!! Thanks. Ann E. Hughes read more

Recently, I found myself in the market for a Big Green Egg. Aqua Quip was the closest retailer and I ended up visiting three times. The first time, I wanted to learn more about the Egg and why I should spend so much money on one. I wanted to hear more about how the Egg cooked and what made it different from a traditional BBQ. The second time, I purchased the Egg. Since it was a present, I had to figure out exactly how I would transport this thing and make a decision about whether I would assemble it myself or have them do it for me. I decided to have them assemble it and made arrangements for pick up later. The entire process was very smooth On my third visit, I came back to ask questions and browse some additional products. I received help from three different staff members and each of them was excellent! It seems like most of the products there are quite spendy (BBQs and hot tubs) but I think the staff does a good job of giving you space while being available to answer questions. If I were in the market for a BBQ or hot tub, I'd definitely go back. It's money well-spent! read more

Aqua Quip has passed the test of time. We bought a hot tub from them five years ago and have loved it ever since. Truth be told, I started going to a place a block away from me at work called, "Master Pools". I felt their prices for the chemicals were better. Plus, after you bought so many, you got one free. Then, I got a notice in the mail that Master Pools was closing down. The owner wanted to retire and Aqua Quip was nice enough to hire a bunch of their employees and would be glad to help Master Pool customers from here on. So, it's back to Aqua Quip. But when inspired me to write this review is that after 5 years, my hot tub started to leak. I called and was told it would be a $69 service charge for the visit...plus, whatever parts cost. I said, that was fine. It had been five years so I expected something to give out. They came out, found the problem and fixed it. Then, let me know it was all covered by the warranty. All good. No money out of pocket, my hot tub is like new again and I'm feeling really good that I went with Aqua Quip when we made our purchase. read more

I bought a Hit tub in late August and it worked for4 months It's a $10k got tub. Called and they wanted to charge me for a service call so I had my electrician make sure it was not a power issue and it is not. I have been trying to get someone there to get back to me but to no avail!!! The worst customer service ever. My last resort is to back charge my CC and have them come and get it. My electrician thinks it's a bad circuit board. When the tub arrived it had a lot of screws missing and seemed to be very shoddy work. Do not buy anything from this company. My sales consultant, Ryan, was extremely helpful in making sure I found the Spa best fit for my needs and budget. His team's follow through and customer service made a big purchase very comfortable and easy. Most important was the Aqua Quip electrical team. Had a miscommunication on what was needed to get power to my rooftop deck, but Dave and Mark moved mountains to get my tub installed and insured the wiring didn't distract from the aesthetics of the house. From our first time meeting Ananda we were really impressed with her willingness to answer questions and taking enough time to help us make the best decision. A & I recently "invested" in a Nordic spa! We are so excited to enjoy it all winter long. I have to say the team at Aqua Quip Shoreline is very knowledgeable and helpful. They met me at my home after work and consulted on the location, electrical and answered all my questions. I used their delivery and electrician and can't be happier with both. Within days of my purchase I received calls from both and the install and delivery were scheduled. Today I took my water sample in for a free test and I was provided clear instructions for the initial chemical set-up, maintenance using the chemicals delivered along with my spa. Very happy with our new Jacuzzi hot tub. Our old tub bit the dust after 25 years (that's 100 years for people!). I went to Clearwater and Aqua Quip to see what it would take to remove the old spa and replace it with new. Annanda, the Shoreline manager, was very helpful. No pressure. She worked with me on price and options and put together the best deal for my situation. The crew showed up on time and were careful not to damage my yard with both the extraction of the old tub and the delivery of the new. I'm so happy that the old tub finally gave out. The new one has a filter with Spa Frog silver insert, ozone generator and UV sanitizer. These all enable a MUCH lower chemical treatment which means my wife can finally enjoy a soak without any sensitive skin reaction. Finally, the hot tub itself has terrific powerful jets and subtle lighting. Recommended. read more

I bought a Regency Fireplace insert from the Shoreline store and am extremely happy with it. I had gotten several bids for heating systems in my house and decided to start with an insert since I live in a townhouse. Disappointed with the bids, I read reviews on inserts and found that Regency is. Top insert and was carried close by at Aquaquip. When the installer came it turns out that my fireplace was actually built with a "faux" wall. The installer said that the wall around the fireplace would need to be removed before the insert could be put in. It looked like I may not be able to have it installed until I had the "faux" wall around the front of the fireplace ripped out. I was so disappointed because I had no heat in my downstairs. Because of this, the installer said that he would take the outer wall off and then I would get to have my insert installed that day. I felt so lucky Because as a single woman, it would have taken forever to get this done. I love my insert, love how it looks, how it works, love how it heats my whole townhouse. The two guys that set up the electrical were really nice. I appreciate that. read more

we ordered a hot tub nearly 9 months ago. it just arrived, understandably with covid and all. aqua quip was the most horrible company to order through. they wouldn't return our calls, never gave us updates, on the off chance we got someone to talk with they were rude and demeaning. we even ended up speaking to the district manager, and he apologized profusely and offered us some credit. since then he has ignored us, haven't seen a credit yet, and to top it off the hot tub cover holder arrived broken and we received half of the chemicals we ordered, and despite leaving voicemails and emails I doubt any of the above issues will be resolved. unprofessional and our biggest regret was purchasing through them. read more

You know how sometimes you have a customer service experience that leaves you with the feeling that there are still kind and helpful people in this world? I had that experience over the last several days with Randall at Aqua Quip. In our new normal of social distancing, I was incredibly impressed with how the store was managing interactions as well as the precautions they were employing and ensuring the safety of their employees. I called Aqua Quip to understand if they were testing water. They said I could either drive the water to them and they would come and get it from me in the parking lot if I didn't feel comfortable coming in or could come pick it up from my door step. I elected to drive it there and then gave a call when I arrived. Randall came to my car wearing a mask and gloves-I was too. He then took the water and returned a few minutes later with the report for the chemicals I needed. He said he would get it all together for me when I wanted to come back and get it. I called this morning and he had it all ready to go for me when I arrived at the store this afternoon. He loaded it in my car and when I asked if i could give him my card over the phone to limit contact he was more than accommodating. He went back inside to the register and took my card over the phone and returned with the receipt which he dropped in my passenger side window-gloved and masked. I know this reads like maybe I'm being overly cautious but I was so appreciative of how Randall made me feel welcome and made it super easy and went above and beyond. I know being in a retail environment can be tough-especially now so I think it's really important to recognize people that deserve recognition for their kindness, thoroughness and thoughtfulness. read more
