I placed an order for a filtration system on a Wednesday morning and was lackadaisically promised it would arrive on Saturday. "Arrives in a day or two." Nope. No shipping number, tracking number, delivery, responses to emails or "online" chats. Its supposed to be an online vendor. They just shut down after hours. Had to call them after a long holiday weekend with bad, smelly, untreated well water - no showers, laundry or dish washing. Called them on Tuesday morning since no one got back to me. Aqua science is one of the most affordable water treatment / well pump suppliers available to the public. They carry almost anything you could need and if they don't have it in stock they will typically get it in for you. My only critique would be that I no longer see the free shipping over 100$ and that contractors don't seem to get much savings even if they buy considerable stock. Was assured in a 2 day delivered zone, my order was not even shipped out to fedex until 5 days after placing the order so a 2 day delivery turns into a 7+ delivery. It was only a pressure tank with a tee package to r&r the existing leaking tank that if the pump is turned on floods the basement. No biggie right ?, just no water in the house for daysssssssss. I purchased my $8000 mister system about 7 years ago from Aqua Science. I have had nothing but terrible service every single year after their install. After waiting weeks for my annual service, they sent the wrong tech to service it every time, and I have to wait 2 more weeks for them to send someone else. My big problem is, the motor broke 3 years ago costing me $3000, and it just broke again. The tech who serviced it last put double the amount of oil in the motor and Aqua Science or Pentair "whoever" they are now, won't cover the cost of it or even return my calls. Guessing my last motor was damaged the same way. I would never suggest going with this company. All they want is your money on the install and could care less about you after that. read more

Really pleased with Aqua Science!!! We had really disgusting foul water. High iron, hydrogen sulfide (rotten egg odor), hardness and high ph. We'd turn on the tap sometimes to see root beer colored water come out. Like out of a horror movie. My regular water guy wouldn't call me back for a week and when he did quoted me an insane quote. I called aqua science and they analyzed my water sample and were super helpful. They corrected all of the issues and came and installed the needed equipment 4 days later. They added a filter and replaced all of my old inefficient equipment and were $800 cheaper than just 1 filter from my old guy. A whole brand new system made to treat my specific problem. I just took a shower in clean, non smelling, non rusty water and I'm so thrilled. I'd recommend them to anybody. Awesome service, great value. When I called to follow up they said they called to inform me that they put my order on a "suspicious card" hold because it had a different ship to address. I have no record of any call or email. I would not recommend a tank purchase from this company. I needed a replacement water softener tank because it leaked so after searching on the internet, I found aquascience and purchased a 9x48 tank from them. I received the tank but it was not event properly packaged. Just the tank in the box with no packing or foam material. There was also slight damage on the top corner of the box. When I opened the box to inspect the tank, I found what looked like a crack at the seam area of the tank. I immediately contacted Aquascience the following Monday and explained the issue with the tank and packaging. I request to return the tank, they sent me a return label. They received the tank, but they did not return my full refund. They said there was no issue with the tank and there was no leak when they tested it, so that's why the took out the shipping charge from my refund. I have protested this with my bank and it is under review by my bank. Aquascience claims this is normal for new tanks to this visual defect. In their website they do not explain this. They should disclose this to potential buyers. So buyer beware of this company. read more

I want to thank the folks at Aqua Science for such a fantastic job in fixing my water problem. I had many other filter companies try to solve my water issues over the years without success. After one call to Aqua Science, the technician came, took my water sample, looked at my equipment and within a day had a solution. I was so happy that they did not try to sell me a whole new system and used parts of my previous system that I had paid thousands for but did not work. Continuation from my previous post... On Monday (Sept 30th) I called and asked to speak with Jeff V. I was told he wasn't in and that they were not sure if he would be going into the office that day due to him being on the road. I explained that I was in on Saturday and I was told to call back on Monday. I also made it clear that this was an emergency type situation and I needed a system ASAP as I did not want the water to destroy my tubs, sinks, toilets, etc. They had asked where I lived and knew that the area I lived was notorious for the issues I was experiencing. (In fact a few of my neighbors I spoke to have used this company) I was told they would need a new water test in order to give me a quote. So I left work drove 50+ miles home to get a water sample, dropped it off and went 50+ miles back to work. They told me they would have the results in 24 hours. Tuesday (Oct 1) I called about my test results. They said that they have them and they would have to wait until later in the day until Jeff V. got back in the office to make up a quote for me. I called back about an hour before they closed and asked once again about my quote. The gentleman I spoke to said that he was not in and they would not be able to provide a quote for at least a few days. At this point I became very pissed off and let him know about it. I told them forget about it I would go with another company, as I already dropped off additional water samples at other companies just in case. He said he would leave a message (which he did not) Wednesday (Oct 2) I received a call from Jane asking me to call the office if I had any questions about the quote. I checked my email and found no quote, therefore I called her back. She resent it as it was sent to the wrong email address. (Meanwhile I had already received quotes from 2 additional companies: $3900 and $2500 both installed) After reviewing the quote they gave me ($1800 I install myself) I decided I would go with this company due to the fact that the other companies would not warranty anything if I did a self install and of course the price. Therefore, I called them back and told them to get it all ready and I would be in in a few hours to pick it up. Upon product pickup there was finally some knowledgeable employees. I asked myself where these guys were on Saturday. The gentleman explained to me exactly what was what and told me what I needed to do for each part and even gave me instructions on how to install each part. He told me if I had any questions do not hesitate to call. I put it in it took about 6 hours to do a complete install (running water lines, electrical, and filling and assembling the canisters) and I was up and running with clear water. Finally!!! read more

i have used aqua science a few times. first one went well. the second one has been an absolute piece of shit. we bought the radon unit as well. big mistake, it totally failed within 3 weeks of the install. they absolutely refused to send out a tech to figure out the system. what a joke. watch out for serina at the r.i. store. they do not stand by the product they sell. my custumers are so upset with the lack of correspondence fom aqua science. does not return e-mails or numerous phone calls. what a scam. be very carefull doing business with them. they claim that after you buy the unit" that you are the repair person" seriously. hacks. i have already told one of my customers to cancell thier order and get it from a reliable company. i have to work with the maker if the radon unit. Mikey was out with another tech to my home Oct 23 for the annual maintenance of my system - cleaning out my tanks; readjusting the timing of the flush system; changing all filters etc. Mikey is the best! He takes the time to explain things to me and shows me things about the system that I'm able to monitor without having to call in the professionals. I live in Jamestown Shores area where we have horrible well water, full of iron, etc. I've used Aqua Science since 1997...They put my system in, and serviced it yearly. The water softening system I purchased from them still works like a champ after 18 years, and they are professional, knowledgeable and fair in price. This company was very unprofessional!!! My husband specifically asked if the installer was a licensed plumber, was told he was, but he was NOT A LICENSED PLUMBER !!! My husband specifically asked for copper pipe to be used when the installer was moving our existing in-line filter, he was told copper pipe would be used, but it was not!!! The installer used plastic tubing without even informing me he would be using that. After speaking with someone in the service office, another installer was sent to install clamps to stabilize the in-line filter. When this installer arrived, he was unaware that he was supposed to install clamps and didn't even have them with him. I asked for a warranty card to register my water softening system and was told one would be mailed to me. I did not receive it, had to call a second time to have it mailed to me and am still waiting for it two months after initial installation. Very unprofessional. We were quoted 600 dollars for service, then got charged 1600. Most of cost was labor, which involved the tech tapping a screw driver against a 12.00 plastic tube! After i found out it was a 12.00 part i had them replace it; however, no reasoning could be had in reducing the labor charge. read more

I would not recommend doing business with these hacks. I was a customer for almost 15 years, a tech came to service my system and hacked up my backwash line. I called imedietly to complain, they never fixed and it, it was held together with electrical tape. It let go over knight and 50 gallons flooded my lower level destroying flooring and walls. Their insurance company denied the claim. So much for being a dedicated customer. I will do everything in my power to let everyone know how I was treated. This company responded in a hurry when I moved into my new house and discovered that my well water had an extremely high iron content, and got the filtration system installed in a hurry. They were also half the price of Culligan and have been responsive whenever I need service. They are friendly and knowledgeable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Aqua Science. read more

I ordered a bunch of products from them. We live very rurally and the sole pump guy is backed up a year. Since we need water before then and we've worked with pumps and such before, we found they had a good price. That is as far as the good things go, and price is only good if you get what you pay for. We don't get delivery by FedEx, so before placing the order, we called to see if they can ship any other carrier. They said it was no problem, they'd ship UPS, to just call after placing the order and they will change it. We did just that and they said they would be shipping UPS. However, once the order was ready to go, we got a notification that it was coming FedEx. We called them back up and told them that this wouldn't work. FedEx will let it get to their center nearest us, sit there for days, and then return it. It's been over six months since we've had a package. The problem with FedEx is not something we can fix at this point. The lady who says she is the owner, Serina, told us all different sorts of stories. She said they recorded the call originally and when we said FedEx, that it means Express not FedEx ground. I think it means ALL FedEx. (Mind you, she's threatening us at this point with extra charges and screeching the whole time. We could only get in two or three words here and there. Horrible behavior. And, we weren't even pissy or mean when we called. This unpleasantness seems like her default setting.) She then told us that she made the decision to change carriers and that it would work. This was before the item had shipped. She refused to cancel the order. She refuse to not ship it. In fact, during this time as we were discussing the problem, she delivered the items we ordered to FedEx despite our requests for a different shipper or to cancel. It has been a long time since we've interacted with such a naturally sour and unpleasant person. Granted, few people are in our position about shipping problems, but her behavior and attitude were disturbing. I don't know how she is still in business. I've had to use this company twice in the past couple of months; once to replace the bladder in our water pressure tank and once to replace out well pump. For the well pump, I called at 4:50 pm on New Year's Day and left a message and was called back in less than an hour. They showed up the next morning bright and early, replaced the pump and had us back up and running by mid- morning. Prices have been reasonable both times, reasonable enough that my mostly do it yourself husband agreed it was easiest/best to let them do the job. Overall great experience and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. read more

Aqua Science has been wonderful! I had an emergency flood caused by a water filtration line breakage and softener failure--after 17 years of great performance while located in my hot AZ garage. This event required that I turn off the main water valve. I called Aqua Science Saturday midday and they came out Saturday evening and installed a new softener for me! It is a complicated configuration, as I knew, and required extra work. In my distress, I failed to get the proper authorization from my home warranty insurance company, and Aqua Science called them in my behalf and got it approved after the fact. Several employees were involved in making all this happen, and they were all so kind and professional. I am sooo very grateful to them! My previous water softener and RO system were installed by Puretec, their predecessor, in 1997/1998 and I have had no problems over all those years. read more

We are extremely disappointed with this company as they have just told us that they will not service our system any more. There is no contract and no one owes anyone any money. I offer the following cautionary tale should anyone be interested in purchasing an RO (reverse osmosis) system from them. The previous homeowner had Aqua Science install a complex whole house RO system, requiring regular maintenance and monitoring. Since we bought our house 2 years, we have paid Aqua Science thousands of dollars on servicing/replacing tanks etc. Last year we experienced a deterioration in our water quality, so sought assistance from Aqua Science. They installed a device (at our expense) to assist in preventing sodium accumulation in the membranes (which were clogging). lt did not work. So they told us to dig a new well. When we tried to get information from them on the system their attitude and response was often condescending and unhelpful. We understand there are limitations to all water systems, particularly if water quality deteriorates. Now our water has improved, they are refusing to help us get our system up and running and changing over the new membranes that we bought. If you have any other alternative resources for your water purification needs my advice would be to look elsewhere, unless you intend on doing all your own servicing. read more
