I truly appreciate how accommodating and helpful the front desk staff was with my son, who has autism. They were flexible and understanding, which made the process of signing up and showing up for lessons much smoother. That said, I wouldn't return or recommend this location for other autistic families at this time. The instructors didn't seem prepared or confident in working with a neurodiverse child. They frequently checked the time, every few minutes which made it feel like they were just trying to get through the 30 minutes rather than stay engaged. On multiple occasions, they asked my husband what they should have our son do next, which made it clear there wasn't a set plan tailored to his needs. We had explained from the beginning that our son is clingy and may need more time to warm up. Despite that, it felt like the instructors were caught off guard by this every single lesson. I would strongly encourage the staff to receive some basic training or education about autism and neurodiversity in general. Every child is different, and a little understanding and preparation can go a long way in making lessons more effective and inclusive. read more

She's had a variety of teachers and all have worked well with her and been engaging, even during the lessons where she cried through half of it haha. My only gripe is I think an intro one on one class would be helpful for the very first lesson. We didn't know what was going on, what the holds or songs were, or what we would be doing and we were in the class with others who have been attending for a while. I think it would be super helpful. I have been taking my daughters to Aqua Tots for years. The instructors are so kind and patient with the kids and provide great feedback to the parents. Class size is small, so they can focus on teaching the kids these lifesaving skills and can devote attention to each child. When my daughter was a little hesitant to progress to the next level, the swim manager Anthony did 3 one-on-one lessons with her so she felt more comfortable and confident in her abilities. My kids feel proud of their accomplishments in class and the coaches celebrate with them. I couldn't recommend this place enough. We go to the Glendale/Peoria location on 83rd Avenue. Some of the coaches we have loved are Eric, Don, 2 girls named Mackenzie, and Jasmine. read more

STAY AWAY from this place if you don't want to get duped by their billing department. Worst billing practices ever. If you have toddlers then stay away from this place. Kids sometimes can't make it to the class for a variety of reasons and if you forget to call them they consider it no show and rob you of the opportunity to make up for the lost class. read more

Was officially hired, filed my tax papers, and even got two shirts, and did close to 15 hours of training, after getting home after the third day ( AFTER BEING IN WATER WITH THE KIDS) they emailed saying i was no longer needed and was left unpaid on all the promised paid training hours i did. absolutely horrid management with no respect for anyone's time or money, the actually employees were great but man does this business have some of the worst management i've EVER seen read more

The manager called me today after emailing again quite angry and frustrated. She was able to reverse the charges to my card for the wrongful account charges. Though an employee told me each child could have their own education debit card attached to their account the program still will default to only 1 card. My access to the portal still hasn't been fixed but it seems like that is fully on corporate because messages have been left by this manager and the water safety manager to have it resolved but corporate hasn't contacted them back or fixed the issue. Lots of apologies were made on her part and she took full responsibility for all the problems that have happened. I leave 4 stars only because it shouldn't have taken all this to get copies of receipts or issues resolved. The portal access has not been resolved and won't due to lack of customer service by the main office over this aqua tots location and because pool closures and class cancellations continue to be a constant. My sons class was last Wednesday - cancelled. My daughters today - cancelled. Cancellations and pool closures have become normal in the last 3 months- I don't have an open schedule to make up classes When they're not on their scheduled day :( read more

Spoke with Jamie over the phone earlier this week and we discussed our concerns which she was understanding and receptive, which we very much appreciate. She also showed me proof of our refund and reached out to her merchant to ensure there was no reason for the delay of it posting to my account from their end. It still has not posted but the banks say it could take up to 30 days. She was also kind enough to offer other options in the event the refund still doesn't post after the 30 days. And just for future references, chemicals don't clean hair and debris out of the pool. I don't understand how you and the other manager can repeat the "chemicals" excuse for choking hazards. what a shame! My daughter enjoyed the class and instructor, but management is horrible. I signed up at the Peoria location and surprised to see I was charged an annual registration fee. Called numerous times and left voicemails asking for a call back. Finally emailed and the General Manager states she thinks she spoke to me and told me she could pull the call. First of all, don't accuse unless you are certain you spoke to me. Train your employees to disclose they are tacking on $45 registration fee! Hubbard is much better in every aspect and prefer to spend money where they know how to treat customers! read more

Aqua-Tots is a great place to bring your little tater-tot (kid) to learn to swim. Every time you hear another child drowning on the news, you wonder IF ONLY that child knew how to swim to the edge of the pool to climb out.... A few things I really like about this location (I believe they also have lessons off-site too): ~*The pool is indoor (no need to slather on sunscreen and sit in the hot sun during the summer or wait to get used to the water during the Winter.) ~*There is a parent viewing area where you can watch your kids through the large glass with 3 rows of plastic (IKEA?) chairs. There is also a small play area for little kids. This place is very kid friendly. They also sell swimsuits too. ~*Pay a monthly fee for a weekly class, so you can fit the lesson into your schedule. Your child can keep taking lessons until they are ready and confident. ~*The ratio is small (child vs Instructor)...I believe it is 4 munchkins per Swimming Instructor. ~*Friendly, helpful, and professional staff. Even when there are 3 classes going on at the same time, it isn't crazy and crowded like it can be at the YMCA or Aqua-Lessons thru the city. Plenty of parking too. read more

The coaches here are all pretty good. Had a bit of an issue with one coach being really impatient with my son, but after a discussion I let her know he feeds off her attitude and if she is being impatient he can feel that and it frustrates him and he will act out more. My son has some sensory processing symptoms and we noticed earlier this year at school. So I was able to explain that to his coach and she has since shown more of a patient understanding towards my son. He responds so much better and has been doing great in his swim lessons. We also love coach Meg! She is Carter's and my 2nd son Braxton's favorite coach. She has My oldest Carter in her class level 3 until he graduated to level 4 about 4 months into it. But she has a great demeanor and my kids love her. :) I go on Saturdays when they have a time slot available for both my boys to go at the same time. They just did a remodel and the pool is larger, viewing area is larger and the changing area is also larger. The staff is very nice here and I recommend them. :) have been going here since July 2015 and soon I will be enrolling my 12 month old in the mommy baby class too. :) read more
