We have been using Aqua Wizard as our pool techs and service guys for about 2 years. Ron, the service and repairs tech, has been excellent. Good at trouble shooting and his work is clean and thorough. Our pool tech, Iunior, is super friendly and always does a thorough job for us. He has kept the cool very clean and clear and is always willing to answer my questions about pool maintenance. The owner, Mark, has been out a few times to "cover" for a pool tech. He is also easy to talk to and willing to give good info when I have questions. I'm very satisfied with the service that we get from Aqua Wizard. read more

Nope, nope, nope. Pool was green more than it was blue. Service was not consistent, frequently missed cleanings, often without explanations and I was paying for weekly service. . Owner is rude and difficult to deal with. Told us that the pool must have a leak and blamed it on that, despite the fact that his own leak specialist couldn't find a leak. Poor communication between him and his staff. Offered to pay for more frequent vacuuming and it never happened. Go w Pinch a penny. Had the pool in shape in a week and it's been beautiful ever since. After several months, did get Red Rhino out to check for leaks. They found a minor leak that Aqua Wizard's person couldn't find. They did repair it but they were pretty certain that the leak would not have been causing that much of a problem, which I believe. Especially since Pinch a Penny had had no problem maintaining the pool before it was repaired. Pinch a Penny May coat a little more, but is so worth it. I've waited almost 6 months to post this because I wanted to see if Pinch a Penny would continue their excellent service since Aqua Wizard struggled to keep my pool in shape, and they have. read more

Poor organization and ownership, lacking tact and professionalism all around. Literally got called a "punk B****" by the owner Mark and hung up on over a billing dispute to which they were in error. Mark had asked over the phone if I needed my salt cell cleaned, I denied assistance two weeks ago. They supposedly sent someone out anyway without my permission a week later and tried to charge me for it, claiming it to be clean and functional (they couldn't even tell me when the person came to do it & my gate was locked). Then the next visit this week their tech said my salt cell was dirty. I tried to remedy their billing error and Mark as well as his wife Sarah (accountant) were both very crass and hard headed. These people are all over the place and have a complete lack to respect for the consumer tantamount to their inept business acumen. Don't trust these people! read more

Everything went well with this company when they had Ricky, who was our dedicated guy. He has since left and service has become abysmal. My brother and law and I watched the quote technician not test the pool give it a skimming and then leave. I called to complain and the owner started to argue with me and then he says his bookkeeper/wife wants to talk to me. she gets on the phone and tells me I've been underpaying. I said, I call with a complaint and you make a complaint against me? I've been paying $75 dollars a month since starting the service, why didn't you contact me? She has my incorrect email. I asked her if she every heard of the US Mail? Our conversation goes no where, they won't resolve my complaint. The owner threatens to cut off my service and I tell him to go ahead, he's fired. Horrible! Our pool grew black algae while they were servicing our pool. They did not tell us, I saw it on the surface not knowing what is was. Mark the owner did not come to check it out, instead sent another employee to vacuum it. Needless to say it did not come up. Why do we pay a pool service good money, not to monitor the condition of our pool and add necessary chemicals to treat and prevent. Mark was not knowledgeable at all. My husband and I both sent him pictures and video, and his response was that he didnt know what was happening to our pool, but it's not our fault. Ha! Our pool is not undergoing a Super Black 3 day Algaecide foam bath as recommended by Pinch-A-Penny. Why didn't his employees not notice the black algae? I'm pregnant and was driving getting off the expressway turning onto Roosevelt when one of the trucks from this establishment completely went across two lanes and into the 49th street exit causing me to slam on my brakes and almost run off the road. I instantly contacted the company to let them know how poor of drivers that they have on the road. Individual whom answer the phone which I'm assuming is the owner instantaneously became defensive and loud and aggressive with me. There was no care or concern whatsoever for the fact that someone who works for them almost killed me and my unborn child. He then hung up on me, when I called back and question him of his behavior and if that's how he treats individuals in the community he then became belligerent and screaming at me claiming that I was the one that was rude and that's why he hung up. I have every reason to be upset and be concerned when someone who works for this company ran me off the road and I am pregnant. What an awful company with absolutely no care or no compassion or respect for anyone else in the community I would never do business with them nor what I refer them to anyone. Company consistently misses weekly pool cleaning or comes on the wrong day. They do not call to say they are coming the next day or anything. They have frequent employee turnover and my gate code or cell number are not transferred to a new employee. Consequently, they can't get in to maintain the pool sometimes unless I happen to be at home. One time, I had to drive to the owners home to retrieve a chlorine treatment because they had missed cleaning for three weeks. Communication with the owner is one sided and that may account for the employee turnover. I know the second or third pool guy (I am now informed I will have a 5th one in the last 8 months) informed me it was a horrible place to work.) I called the owner this morning, because they have missed two weeks of service (without returning my calls) and asked if they would be coming today and also if they had filed a report with the owner concerning an issue with the pool (as the last pool guy informed me they had). I could not finish any statements, questions without being interrupted and talked over. I don't criticize very often, but when you can't ask a question without being cut off and even go so far as to ask to be able to finish a sentence and still get cut off, there is something wrong with the owners communication skills as a business owner, well even as a person. I ended up discontinuing (hung up) on this guy as I won't be treated like that by a business. read more

Mark (the owner) is rude and hateful! When we inquired with him to clean our pool we made it clear that our pool had a vinyl liner and he said that was fine and said that they would just do chemicals because liners are delicate. In August our liner was ripped in 3 spots by them and we repaired it without mentioning anything because mistakes happen (300$). It was recently ripped again and 1/3 of our pool water drained out so on top of having another 300$ water bill to fill the pool constantly we have to have to have it fixed again. I contacted mark and he literally yelled at me saying he didn't know that we had a vinyl pool and if he knew he would of never had us as customers and called me a liar and said to take him to court and he would not pay for any of it. On top of all this the company doesn't consistently keep our pool clear and will randomly skip weekly visits. Do not use this compay!! read more
