Since the owner seems to enjoy trying to "dunk" on negative reviews here, I made sure to do my homework. I've been Yelping for 11 years and only 18% of my 347 reviews have been negative. I only give a negative when a business really deserves it. I don't do reviews on that other browser site, nor social media. As you can see, I previously gave CK them a 5-star review, but my recent experience deserves an honest and factual update. Short version: Please get a 2nd estimate! Long version: Our pool pump was leaking bad and needed a replacement. A CK tech came out promptly, reviewed our situation, and said they would email an estimate. I thought the estimate was not only high, but very high. I got 2 other estimates and they were far less. Upon further research, I noticed CK hoped to charge us an $800 markup for the pump itself and charge us DOUBLE for the separate controller. I completely understand a markup, as they have to stay in business, but these were outrageous. Then the tech spent a great deal of time telling me he could not even install the new pump unless we agreed to have a very expensive "bonding rod" installed and pulling up our pavers. Since our plumbing runs under that area, I really wanted other opinions before I agreed to such a drastic and expensive change. Well, it turns out we already had a bonding rod there, not 12 inches away from our old, leaking pump. Was this an honest mistake, or something more? I guess that is something for the owner and his tech to decide. So, we used another company, saved over $1,500, did not need our pavers pulled up, nor pay for an unnecessary "bonding rod" that was already there. I once was very happy with Chlorine King but no more. If I had read the owner's responses here, I would have never even called them about replacing our pump in the first place. If he put as much effort into customer service as he does his negative review "defense?" Both he and all of his customers would have a lot less headaches! read more

Here we go: You leave anything below 5* stars and they will come after you like they are coming now after me and then of course most honest reviewers step back and delete all the 1,2,3,4 star reviews. Don't believe them one single word. I have the proof of everything if you like. I can show you the rust stains, I can show you the numbers which are 20x off and I can show you their guy (D...) 90% of the time being on the phone with one hand and pretending to wipe our pool with one hand and no ... he's not talking to other customers, but doing all personal calls (last time e.g. about neighbors complaining about his children ... oh wow ... I'm surprised ....not), so ther's absolutely no time you can ask him any questions about your pool. This happened pretty much all the time and because of that and all the numbers constantly off (e.g. phosphate 20x over the limit and they didn't even check or do someting until a guy who knows their boss insisted on checking !!! Imagine that!) I left the readings from Leslies at the pool filter, which I took in a professional manner according to pool water testing standards (here in the attached picture 3 days after their service) they gave me and you can be sure that their thousands of $$$ equipment is way more accurate than their guy with sunglasses and constantly on the phone with private talks, on the pool pump and oh wow ... after that things went downhill even more because he realized that I discoverd that he was not taking care of our pool chemistry in a professional manner. He almost never looked at me even when I stepped outside and looked into his direction for minutes looking for a small chat about the pool. Once I was lucky to be able to talk to him about white cloudy stuff sticking to the wall and he was just saying it needs probably a resurfacing. We almost wasted $10k because of his lack of knowledge because with lower phosphate levels this problem has disappeared completely. Worst company on the planet. They ruined our pool completely. They could never get rid of old stains and only produced new ones with the chemistry always being totally off. I already left a honest review and they started harrassing me and talking badly about me and lying about their service which was horrible. I guess this will happen again. They have really no clue about maintaining pools. Better check your numbers on your end. If you get rusty spots or other stains ... oooops ... yeah now you know where they are coming from. 160$ for something I can do 10x better? Probly they use super cheap low quality products or just not enought to maximize profits at your cost. Don't listen to them. My review is totally honest. As you can see in the pictures they provided service on 06/15/2022 and the results were "sparkling clean" with items found "NONE", but you can clearly see in the pictures that the pool was awfully green and after we added salt you can see how the bottom of the pool was dirty showing that it was not properly vacuumed. My guest complained about the condition of the poll so I called and emailed the company on Saturday morning and they did not reply to any of my emails or calls. On Monday, they sent someone to check the pool without any notice, trespassing the property and causing inconvenience to my tenants. Later on Monday, they email us, arguing that it was our fault that the pool was not cleaned. The owner Savanna Taylor was defensive, aggressive, and she did not listen nor read our emails where I clearly explained that they did not do their job nor informed us about any issue with the pool. I already paid the full month of June and she refused to give any money back. read more

So they made some excuse to not give me service because they were short staffed. The guy lied about having put salt in the pool for the chlorinator and when I asked if he could or if it was included in the service they said they couldn't come out anymore or there was some salt shortage. Gives me the impression that they want to spend the least possible on services to you. The guy came out and did the barest minimal. I have a screen so the pool stays pretty clean, so not that there was much to do anyway. I can't justify $160 per month for basically nothing. Not even the salt that the pool is supposed to have. They also made me replace a $1000 chlorinator that was working just fine. Now I have to go put the old one back or try to sell it or something. read more
