We spend a lot of time at Pickwick and have been here before, but heard there was new ownership, so wanted to try it. Went on Mother's Day after getting off the lake. Literally walked in 45 minutes before they "closed" and were getting eyes from management or owner, not sure. Heard them telling the serving staff to hurry up and get last orders in because they were ready to close. We were seated and it took 15 minutes before we were even approached for drinks. We were ready to order by then. Asked about wings on the menu, and they had none. Ordered a shrimp po-boy and they didn't have any. Literally the first 2 things we ordered they didn't have. So, we got up and left. This was not a busy weekend on the lake. What's it gonna be like on big weekend?? Won't be back. Do not recommend. read more

We stop here on a Saturday afternoon for Pizza. We sat outside by the water and watched the boats until our food arrived. We ordered side salads before our pizza. The lettuce probably should've been thrown away the day before, as it was browning and soggy. Neither of us ate our salads. The pizza arrived quickly and was piping hot from the oven. We ordered the thin crust and it was excellent. There was plenty of cheese on the pizza and the toppings were your basic pizza toppings. Overall the pizza was great and we were unable to finish it. If we ever around Pickwick again we will stop in for another pizza, next time we will just avoid the salads. read more

I was shocked by the lower reviews when I first looked at this Marina grille. We almost didn't go check it out (again) because of the Yelp reviews, but we decided too because we had the dogs with us and the patio was dog friendly. Having said that, the food was very good in comparison to other similar restaurants in the area. I think that's where the other Yelpers were mistaken. When reviewing restaurants you have to compare apples with apples and this apple was a nice big red Juicy one compare to other restaurants on the water at Pickwick lake. The new renovation is a nice touch to an oldie but goodie. My wife and I enjoyed the grilled Hawiian chicken sandwich and fries and an order of the jalapeño poppers! The chicken sandwich was a nice big Juicy thick breast of perfectly grilled chicken. (I added the spicy ranch from my jalapeño poppers to my sandwich and it was delicious!) Our waitress was friendly, prompt, and efficient despite the place being packed. We were in and out in about 30 minutes tops. Plus who doesn't like to sit on a nice patio at the Marina and watch the Pat's coming and going and seeing the fish and turtles being fed right at the edge of the restaurants deck by little kids. I highly recommend this restaurant, just keep in mind that it's a casual place to grab a bite to eat in between your fun in the sun on the lake. (My wife is Pregnant so we stayed away from the fish and/or seafood.) read more

We love this place. The cauliflower pizza is simply amazing. Give it a try! They have a great selection of beer. Service is exceptional! They have a great selection of appetizers that you must try. I frequented the Aqua Grill during me recent stay up the road in Counce. It is the best restaurant in the area. They have a great outdoor deck overlooking the marina with plenty of fans to chase off the mosquitos. Friday night, however, all of the tables under the fans were full so we sat closer to the water and got eaten by mosquitos. They had great live entertainment for the past few Friday and Saturday nights. Some nights a full band, other nights just a guitar / singer that was really talented. I ate there three times and the food was excellent each time. Had the rib eye steak one night- tender and full of flavor. Another night they had a Mahi Mahi special that was real good, but not a big portion. And finally I tried the Sears Ahi tuna - best meal I had there... And probably the only place to offer this for many miles. Each meal came with a baked potato and salad, pretty standard for resturaunt in the area. The staff was very friendly and I will definitely return of I'm ever back in the area. read more

We keep our boat at the Aqua Yacht marina and this restaurant is very convenient to us. With that said, I would still drive the 20 minutes from Corinth just to enjoy their cheeseburgers!! Awesome burgers with a great view. The wait staff is attentive and if the flies become a challenge while on the deck, there is plenty of room inside. Nothing changed here since the last 4 times we gave them a "second" chance. Spoiled crawfish tails, French dip horrible, chicken tenders were at least fully cooked this time, and not raw. For our shrimp poboy, I'm pretty sure they used the peel and eat shrimp, fried em and put all 6 of them them on a soggy bun. Took 45 min to get appetizer, forgot our salad, never saw waiter again, drinks empty and no extra napkins. Wife and I were splitting the shrimp poboy, no extra plate. After being abandoned, I asked 3 different people, 3 times to find our waiter. There were only a handful of tables at the whole restaurant, and I'm pretty sure we were his only one. Finally got the check and the heck outta there. There's so much potential here, but that's the last trip I'm making to aqua. I might drink a beer sometime, but that's where the line is drawn. read more

Great deck overlooking the harbor and the service was fine. We ordered grilled shrimp salad and a chicken strip salad, but both came over iceberg lettuce. I should have asked but assumed the greens would be romaine or other mixed greens. $12 for a bed of iceberg lettuce and 5 or 6 boiled looking "grilled" shrimp. I guess that explains why there were so few people there at lunchtime on a beautiful Saturday during labor day weekend. I certainly will not be back for the food. This place has terrible service. Maybe the employees are lazy, maybe the manager can't manage, or maybe both. We came down here on a Saturday night, and they couldn't seat us for an hour, but that was fine. As we were standing at the bar we continually noticed vacant tables that needed to be bussed. The tables Would literally be vacant for 10-15 minutes before they were cleared. Also, they scheduled 20 children on a Saturday night and sat them In front of the band. Only half the kids showed up, but several couples continued to stand and wait regardless. After waiting 40 minutes and 4 tables being vacant the entire time we approached the host and hostess who were just gabbing. They had obnoxious White Privilege attitudes, or maybe they were high. At this point we learned they were not seating anyone because the kitchen was behind. Apparently they didn't realize customers would rather sit then stand. So we told them to take our names Off the list, and went to one of the resteraunt on the other side of the state line. read more

We have visited this restaurant several times over the past 2 years. We love the location and atmosphere. The food is always good even if not the best we've ever had. The value is mediocre for the amount and quality. The service (often server Josh) has always been friendly, helpful, and even amazing on occassion. However, today we brought someone with us who had never been. The food was less than quality but that wasn't the issue. Upon arriving (during a pandemic and after a rainstorm), it took 5 minutes to be spoken to and another few minutes to be seated in an empty restaurant. The woman "greeting" was irritable, frustrated, annoyed...I'm unsure. We felt as if we were unwanted from her snippy demeanor. Our server, Bethany, was very sweet. As others came through the door, we noticed a familiar attitude towards them but not all. Some were greeted pleasantly. This doesn't make any if yes want to return. We heard others comment about leaving and going to Freddy T's, another local restaurant. We will absolutely take a long break before returning, which is sad. I enjoy supporting local, small-town businesses and we spent our money here weekly. read more

This is a fairly new restaurant. I ordered crab cakes which were very good with a homemade sauce and my husband ordered grilled shrimp salad. We enjoyed them. The salad could've used more variety of greens and was a bit skimpy but the shrimp were cooked perfectly. I have heard their breakfast buffet is good on the weekends. read more
