Shear Shack came up & I was able to make an appointment on her website which was awesome. I arrived & Kristy was as sweet as could be. I showed her a picture of what I wanted & discussed some concerns which she addressed & really helped put me at ease. Kristy was so friendly & we chatted the whole time, I love that I wasn't just sitting there in an awkward silence which has happened at other places before. I felt like we were old friends. She REALLY knows what she's doing! My color is great & I love my cut, it looks so healthy! To top it off, her salon interior is AWESOME & totally retro! I arrived and We got started, she asked me how light do you want your hair? I said I wanted it light. So she basically did a blonde orange balayage and rinsed my hair and cut it. I expressed than it's not really what I asked for and she agreed that she should have read the messages and asked me to return to let her fix it. I returned a few days later she put more bleach on the ends which was okay I like the ends lighter and she poured very dark almost black brown dye on my head and blended after rinsing she added more bleach trying to make things even. I asked is the brown/blonde even all the way around? She said yeah I'm trying to get it blended good. Then she rinsed dried and curled my hair, she showed me the hair and it looked ok. I gave her $10 to buy lunch as a thanks you and left. When I got home I finished helping with our yard sale and showered only to find that my hair looked terrible! It was no where near even. I messaged Lesley the same day and expressed how upset I was that I can't even wear my hair down and I paid so much money for this. I asked for a HALF refund, considering she spent time on my hair. She ignored me for a week finally I called her and she said she would look at the messages and let me know...she sounded like she was blaming me for my hair looking bad. She later texted and told me she will not give me a refund. The reviews are right Lesley has a great personality and was kind but I found it almost deceiving to curl my hair so I wouldn't notice how uneven it was and then to deny a refund.
