While I was hesitant to book, my husband reminded me you can judge a book by its cover. I was thrown off by the fact the spa is in a house on Lorain Road...I know! But once inside the house was updated to reflect a modern clean spa. Sure the second floor has kept the floor plan of a typical bedroom layout, but they too have been updated to reflect a modern spa. It's all in the name, you feel like you might be at the beach, a little yo kitschy for me, but my spa services with Emma made up for it. I booked a facial snd upper body/back massage and it wad amazing. The facial was thorough and hit a peal, steam, hot towels, and finishing treatment. It was perfect. On yo the massage, Emma target my neck, shoulders and back. She had the perfect firm pressure with a mix of hot stone and hand massage. So don't be like me, open the front door, a true oasis awaits. I was greeted right away when I walked in and sat down in their little waiting area while waiting for my wax beauty guru, Emma. She was very personable and a delight to talk to. Now it's been years since I've gotten a Brazilian done, so under some circumstances I felt like I needed to start getting used to this painful experience before I pop out some babies. Because let's face it, when you become so pregnant you can't see your toes... it might be best to leave this job to the professionals. I told Emma how I used to get this done a long long time ago then stopped so she didn't feel the need to explain everything. She was fast and very thorough. My body was so sore from my job that deals with lifting and shovel and let's say everything hurts at the end of the week. I've been shopping around for a regular place for waxing and Aquamarine Spa was almost the one until I got a really bad wax. It was way more painful than the first time and there were all kinds of patches of hair left behind. You never know till you get home. It might be hard to believe but I was in pain for over a week, then painful urination (and I'm not active) and in the shower. It was almost healed when realized the pain was from a piece of skin in a very delicate spot was ripped off. They almost had me as a regular, but I won't ever go back. I'm being generous with the two stars because I think the problem was just with that one person. All other times were fine. It's hard for me to plan so I was grateful they could usually fit me in last minute. read more

When the service was completed my lashes had glue all over them and burnt off. This place should close down or hire people that know what they are doing. I had beautiful lashes long lashes. I read amazing reviews of eyelash lifts and tints through Groupon and their website and decided to try it out. Unfortunately I did not relate to any of those reviews. Bianca did not walk me through the process or explain anything. I had to ask questions all throughout as to what she was doing or how long it had to sit etc., She was not sociable during either. The perming solution was burning both of my eyes during, but mostly the right eye and after I had said something, she wiped them and they continued to burn. The end result: my right eye was terribly red and irritated after, it looked bloodshot and my eyelashes were not curled up all the way, they were looking off to the side. She over processed my eyelashes leaving them red and frizzy. There was glue residue left on my eyelid and my eyelids are hooded so they were sticking to each other making it hard to blink or close my eye all the way. They were clumpy and I am very very very upset with this experience as they did not come out as expected and caused me a bad experience. Do NOT recommend. read more

I went for my second lash lift and, while the first one was amazing, this one was terrible. It felt rushed and impersonal and it totally destroyed my lashes. They're crimped and falling out. I treated myself before a vacation, and I'm mortified with the results. There is no way to hide the damage. I would think twice before this treatment. read more

I have to say, I appreciate how nice the lady was but my experience with getting a Brazilian wax was not how I expected it to be. I have had many Brazilian wax before and this one in particular hurt me bad. I wish the lady would have talked me through while getting this done. For example I would have liked it if she started off by telling me to take a deep breath, or by saying "okay this is going to be sensitive", but instead there was no warning and she just aggressively did it. When I went home I had wax stuck to my body, some patches of hair left and irritated skin which made my skin flakey days later. I have to say, I don't plan on going back. read more
