This was my first time going to Ulta. I really needed to get my hair cut and I didn't just want to go to a cheap hair cutting place. I thought I would give Ulta a try even though there were a lot of mixed reviews floating around the internet. Bottom line: I'm SO glad that I went! Everyone was amazingly nice and polite. They even offered me a water while I was waiting. After my hair was cut, they even straightened it for me! I'm over the moon with my hair too. Usually I'm always unhappy with how people cut my hair, but I'm thrilled with how it looks for once! I'll definitely be going back. read more

I had my daughter's hair colored here with fashion colors, and the whole experience was horrible! The stylist (Samantha) was very sloppy throughout the process and repeatedly got the fashion colors onto sections of my daughter's blonde hair that were not supposed to be colored. The final color looked nothing like the samples we were shown or what we had discussed. She only washed the section of hair that had been colored rather than washing all of her hair, and after rinsing the color, she didn't even dry my daughter's hair before we left. Most importantly, nearly all of the color had washed out by the first wash after being told that it would last for approximately three months. I understand that fashion colors can fade faster than traditional hair color, but having almost the entire color disappear after the first wash is completely unacceptable! I give it five stars just for Areege their stylist! I have been going to her for a few years now and trust me the magic and love she gives your hair is something even you can't give it. Every time I visit her I feel like I just got an upgrade or won a lottery - the latter I probably did when I found her. If you're ever looking for someone to give your hair some much needed love - Areege at Ulta Beauty is your girl! Went to get a simple haircut. Paid extra for a "master" stylist. When I got home, realized the hair was an inch shorter on one side. Then noticed the layers she added were horrible and not consistent. Stay away from this place for any hair services. A preschooler could have done a better job than this "master stylist" read more

I only wish I would have come here to read the reviews before making an appt. Booked an appt for a signature cut and partial highlights. Specifically chose a master stylist as I was unable to get in with my usual stylist and get a little nervous about going to someone new. Tahani, although skilled, is not someone I would return to. I brought pictures as inspiration. I mentioned that I would like to consider working on grey blending and she spoke over me and insisted I needed root touch up to make it look good. She talks fast and is at times hard to understand. She sped through how she would do my hair and said it's an absolute necessity to do the Olaplex treatment and said what I thought was "it's only $5" so I agreed. She was extremely aggressive during every aspect of my appt. I had to ask repeatedly for something to wipe the hair color stain off of my forehead as she was going to allow me to walk out with a large brown spot. I have never been sore from a hair appt, but her aggressive technique left me so. I feel more like I was buying a car due to the over aggressive sales pitch about buying products from the store including ones I could try if I was unhappy with my color. Um, for what I'm paying, I would expect an offer to fix it. In the end, when I got my bill, there was an additional $75 charge for the root color that she insisted on, a charge was never mentioned. And the olaplex treatment was an additional $25. My experience and outcome was nowhere near worth the $350 bill I ended up with. All this from a stylist who told me she demands certain things as she is "one of the top 5 stylists" I should have known better, but I was desperate to get in with someone before a birthday celebration. I was greeted immediately by two friendly staff members when I entered this Ulta I was looking for two different dipbrow formulas and the sales girl took me right to them I asked for clean brushes to test out the products and was helped with everything no problems whatsoever with this ulta. Did my daughters hair (alone, I was at work) and completely down talked my daughter, made her uncomfortable, cussed the entire time about my daughters previous stylist, used add-on products w\o asking my daughter and charges her, ripped her hair with fine comb after 2 shampoos and no conditioner then told her she should go home and practice having people comb her hair, spoke Arabic to a co-worker when not speaking with my daughter. The manager came by to remind the stylists "it's rude to not speak English in front of your customer. It makes them uncomfortable". But continued to do so. Told my daughter total for foils would be $225 ( holy crap!) then bill was $296.20. tried pushing more products and my daughter and told her " you look rich enough to afford it". Worst Ulta I've ever been to & won't ever go back here again. Called this Ulta to see if they had in stock 2 eyeliners I've been hunting down because it's been sold out at all the other Ulta's I've been to. The guy who worked there said they had it so, I told him to put it aside. Came to the store to find that he never put aside the eyeliners AND tried to sell me 2 different eyeliners than the ones I wanted. I told him I don't want those & that's not what I asked for! He went to get me the eyeliner that I asked for but he said they only had 1 in stock. Really?! I called to see if this place had TWO, not one. So, I wasted a trip to come to this place for only one eyeliner & no apology from this employee?! The manager luckily took over the situation & gave me the liner for 50% off & gave a couple of deluxe samples. I went to the salon today. WOW am I disappointed. My layered hair cut is soooo uneven and choppy I don't think I can get it fixed by an actual stylist until it grows out again. The person cutting my hair did not know how to mix the color on her own (shoulda been my first clue!!!) and she had no idea how to cut my hair in layers. Look out! Just got my eyebrows done for the first time at an ulta. Amanda did mine. Not only was she great but I had my 7 month old baby with me and she helped me calm her multiple times. I haven't had my eyebrows done in about 6 months due to someone else ruining them and now they look perfect. I will definitely be going back to Amanda from now on! read more

Terrible service. They cancelled my appointments twice. The first time they didn't even have a nail technician working when they scheduled me. Then, the second time they called an hour before my appointment telling me they double booked. They would have to reschedule me. I think professionals definitely do not work there. Would not go back to this salon for a permanent wave.. Had an awful experience where perm solution dripped into my eyeball and mouth... There was no precautionary safety measures taken (ie.) cotton put around the forehead and sideburns.. I did not want to pay for the services and they offered me a 10% discount for burning my eye and the perm looks horrible!
