I had been wanting to try this place out for a while. I want a regular place to go for a colonic. I bought the Groupon for three colonics. I called today to make an appointment. I was told the next available appointment is four months from now. (I know you can't believe what you just read, but yes, FOUR MONTHS) Seriously? I asked "how can a person book three colonics for four months from now? Who knows their schedule that far in advance?" The guy on the phone said he understands how I feel but that they sold over 500 Groupons so they are really busy and booked up. I asked what would happen if someone called and wanted to pay full price, he said the owner is now coming in on the weekends for the people paying full price. I asked how many they do a day. Here is how he said it works, they are open Tuesday-Friday, 4 days a week and do 7 colonics a day. This means in four weeks, they do 112 colonics. It takes them almost FIVE months to do 500 colonics and they have sold OVER 500 and are STILL SELLING them! (and many people like myself, bought the three pack) If they are booked for FOUR months, perhaps they ought to STOP selling groupons and focus on their business. This was a major turn off and horrible customer service. I am someone that wanted to try this place and would have been a regular customer that paid full price if they actually ran their business properly and made it possible to come to their business. The fact that they are STILL selling the Groupon means they don't care at all about the customer. This is sad to me. What happened to building up regular clients? Caring about clients? Wanting dedicated clients that spread the word about your business. They use Groupon as their sales rep and then don't actually book appointments that are realistic to someone making the purchase. FOUR months from the day you call? I hate to break it to you, this is NOT the top plastic surgeon with a waiting list. This is offensive and I feel 100% taken advantage of. I WILL spread the word of my experience via word of mouth and social media to make sure everyone knows NOT to purchase this never ending Groupon and NOT to go to Aquarian Wellness. I am saddened to know that a small business in my community treats people this way. I LOVE to support small businesses in my community but it has to go both ways. Aquarian Wellness doesn't have any idea what it means to serve a customer. I hope that changes. UUGH. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. And this is in regards to BEFORE even trying their service! So like everyone and their mother, I bought a Groupon for this place: Colon Hydrotherapy with Lymphatic Drainage and the Reflexology Massage. In layman's terms, yes, I was going to get my butt cleaned and then feel good about it afterwards. I was hoping it would help with my skin actually. So as soon as I bought it on July 30th, I made an appointment. But it wouldn't be for another whole month because they were completely booked up till then. My appointment was set for August 30th at 5pm. August 30th rolls around and a couple hours before my appointment, a man tells me that the practitioner had an emergency and had to cancel me and they would call back to schedule me another day. I don't hear from them and so I call back at 5:30 pm to reschedule. A woman picks up this time and I told her about my situation. Turns out she would have been my practitioner and she could take me in at 6 pm that day because the emergency didn't turn out to be an emergency after all. First off, then why didn't you guys call me back to tell me that. Secondly, I live 20-something miles away so I wouldn't get there in time because of peak rush hour for concentrated LA traffic. So we settled on setting an appointment on a completely different day and the earliest appointment they had wouldn't be for ANOTHER month on September 26th. I was a little irked that it would be 2 months after my Groupon purchase that i would finally get into the door. September rolls around and they e-mail me a day before to confirm my appointment and then they call me later to confirm that I was getting the Colon Hydrotherapy and the MASSAGE BED because they no longer offered the Reflexology Massage. Wait a minute. A MASSAGE BED?! When I paid a little extra for the Reflexology Massage, I had imagined an actual person giving the service...not some sort of higher end version of a Brookstone gadget! I was pissed. I told the man on the phone (I suspect this is the same man who failed to call me back the first time when they had cancelled on me) that I had been waiting for 2 months to do my appointment and now it's not even the same appointment in the first place. He lacked empathy which in turned read to me as rudeness. At that point, I was fed up that I was already disappointed with the way they were handling appointments that I didn't even want to bother with how they would handle customers in person. I asked for a refund and he snapped back to call Groupon for it. So I did. The man at Groupon had empathy and was super sweet about the situation and gave me a full refund. My suggestion is to have THAT man train the OTHER man on better customer service on the phone. It's very unfortunate because I love supporting local businesses and I was really looking forward to using their services. But if they're making it already hard for people BEFORE they even use them, they're losing business without even knowing it. read more

WTF. (I usually wouldn't dare to begin a review with that) First off, don't be fooled by their tech-savy booking procedure. I purchased the $30 groupon. Surprisingly, so did a thousand other folks. Initially I was worried it would be impossible to get an appointment but soon found out that it's done through a booking website. The booking website was VERY cool and I felt confident this establishment knows what they're doing. I got to choose a female preference, the day and time slot etc. I even had to cancel that one, since I realized an hour later that I have plans in my calendar. Cancelling and rescheduling was just as simple and easy. They even sent an email confirmation with the name of my masseuse. Got an email confirmation the day before my massage as well. So .... on the day of my massage (Sunday afternoon), I roll up to Fairfax and there is NO PARKING anywhere nearby except for all the meters that are 1 hour parking. MY massage: 70 mins. Great. So I parked and got buzzed into the establishment. In response to my parking situation, The middle-old age Asian man who answered the door told me It's fine and that I can go out in the MIDDLE OF MY MASSAGE TO ADD MORE COINS TO THE METER... I was still okay with that at this point! When I ask about Linda, he mumbles something, violently nods his head and leads me into this room with FOUR BEDS and two of the diagonal beds have people covered in towels getting their feet rubbed. I'm thinking..Oh just great..this is a communal massage. And then I wondered how comfortable I am being naked under a towl or robe with many people in the room. It only gets better..because I barely got to take my SHOES off. He sits me down.. and has me take my shoes off, brings a bucket of lukewarm water and gestures me to dip my feet in. I had to roll up my leggings (thank God I did not wear jeans) so they wouldnt get wet. And then he tells me to lean back and lay down onto the bed. Umm ... okay? All the while, I'm wondering when my lady masseuse named LINDA (as my neat little email confirmation had read) is going to show up. This man starts rubbing my feet and I realize there is no Linda.. Parts of the massage were actually nice...But my clothes were still on, underneath the towel, I was cold and the water my feet were in was cold, need I mention being too scared to fall asleep and miss the expired meter? Well, I didn't have to worry about the sleep situation for long, because most of the massage was PAINFUL. I understand reflex massages and I've had plenty where they dig deep into the stress points and it always hurts. What sucked about this massage was that I would verbally state that he needs to be softer, and he would nod, but proceed to do the same exact thing at the same exact pressure. Pretty sure this dude didnt understand me at all. After my massage, I was in a rush to get out so I could make it somewhere else in time, but then he tells me to pull out my groupon #. This should have been done at the beginning and what..? It was supposed to be with a female, Linda or Not. After I hunted through my emails, staring out the window to make sure my car woudlnt get ticketed, he finally gave up and told me dont worry. Sadly, I gave this person a $20 Tip. I didn't have anything smaller and according to the ettiquette of massage, youre not even obligated to tip a single penny. I regret doing that as I have encouraged a very mediocre establishment with very shabby service. read more

I am surprised this spa got such a high rating. I bought a groupon worth $30. When I called to make an appointment it was hard to get a hold of anyone. When I finally spoke to someone, the owner (I believe) told me to email her my groupon #. She said it wouldn't be until a couple of weeks out but they would call to remind me about my appt the day before. The first time I got a phone call was the day of my appt when I was told I had missed it and it would cost $25 for a rebooking fee. Ridiculous! I called them back and talked to a very nice guy. He said the owner would call me back and she never did. Luckily Groupon gave me my money back. Bad business on their part. My first two visits were for the Infrared Sauna. I have pre-paid for 8 more visits, but am unable to schedule them because they never, ever, ever answer the phone or return voice mails. Now, about the place: * The place is small, a little bit funky, but everyone seems nice. * The sauna is tiny - I mean little bitty small. I would say no bigger that 3ft by 3 ft. Not at all what is pictured on the website. * No laying down because it is not nearly wide enough, very little room. * The quality of the sauna itself was nice - seems like it is new. * The changing area is actually just the bathroom, which is just OK I guess. The worst part is that it is almost impossible to book an appointment because after calling dozens of times they have only ever answered the phone twice. Two times. Thats it. And after leaving voice mail after voice mail, they have never, not once, returned a call to schedule an appointment. Never. Absolute fail given that I have pre-paid for 8 appointments that they make it nearly impossible to schedule. I wonder if this place is suffering because of the amount of GroupOn traffic they are getting? Maybe they aren't prepared? The saunas I was able to get scheduled were nice and I would go back if they would answer the #$%%^& phone. read more

I have never had a more trusting experience in my life. Dorotae was so gentle and compassionate with me for our first session all the way through our session yesterday. Everyone I've sent to her is blown away by the service and her ability to connect as a genuine human being. I was a repeat client last year up until October. Everything was fine, scheduling was a bit difficult. I purchased the 6 pack from groupon for $ 169 in January. Fine print says for new clients or those who have not been in last 6 months. Left 3 mags to call me for scheduling. Finally 5 days later the receptionist called me and told me the owner will not honor my voucher because the 6 month clause meant I could not purchase for 6 months, but if I wanted to pay her the difference I could schedule. Ok, so I bought the groupon, as I had been wanting to try a colonic for a while. I do admit, I was a little put off by the length of time required to get an appt. I believe I called in January (perhaps Feb) and was unable to get an appt until the beginning of June (hence knocking a star off). But no matter. I made my appt, and luckily, it ended up working out. I had actually forgotten about it, but they called to confirm a few days beforehand, which I'm happy about. So, I arrive, and park right out front at a meter, as it's later in the evening. It took a while for the receptionist (a man, and he was very nice!) to open the door, but it was no biggie. After I filled out my paperwork, he took me back outside and around back (I believe there was a tai chi class going on, so we couldn't go through it). Since Dorotee wasn't ready for me yet, he let me use their infrared massage bed, which was AWESOME. After about 10 minutes on that, I was super relaxed. He comes and gets me, and shows me where to change and gives me a gown to wear. Then I am led into the room where the colonic will take place. It's super cool and eclectic. When Dorotee came in, she was accompanied by her precious little dog, who I fell in love with IMMEDIATELY. What a sweetie!!! So, I hop up on the table, and Dorotee and I are talking, which makes it a little more comfortable when you don't know what to expect. She really was full of interesting information. As a nurse, I liked this. I like to keep my mind open to things beyond the way of western thinking. She's a great practitioner. I admit, at times, the colonic was a bit uncomfortable. You can feel your belly really fill up with the water, and your body responds. It can get a little crampy. And after it was done, well.....let's just say you may need some alone time when you get home! No need to say any more right? If you're looking to get "cleaned out" you will get what you pay for. I bought a groupon for this place about a month ago. I have called numerous times and left messaged and still have not heard back. I contacted groupon and got a refund. If they can't hand the volume brought in by groupon then don't use it because obviously they are getting enough business. I refuse to trust anyone with my body that can't manage to call people back within a week. The sad thing was when I contacted groupon, groupon said that they were claiming they had a 24 hour response time currently so they are lying to them as well. If you are reading this and having the same problems I am having get a refund so that this company will be banned from using it. read more

First let me start by saying this was my first colonic. I found this place on living social and read up on the place and spoke with "Doritee"(the woman who does the colonic) before purchasing. I went today and was pleasantly surprised at how I felt during/after the procedure! Doritee was VERY sweet, gentle, and knowledgeable. She could see the look on my face when I saw the plastic device that would be going "up" lol. She patiently explained how it would be done, and helped me with yoga breaths to put me at ease. She talked to me and massaged my stomach the whole time to keep my mind off of and to help the process. Everything in the facility was clean and inviting. It was a good experience. After purchasing my infra red sauna treatment on Groupon I made an appointment to try this type of sauna for the first time. To my despise it was really relaxing, normally I would never be able to hang out in a sauna for 45 minutes but this was private and I was truly able to just escape. After wards I peaked at the massage room and there was 3 ladies finishing up that were all raving about the heavenly massage they just had called the Dream Time massage. The room had a few massage tables and there was time available for a massage for me. Linda the massage therapist had me sit on the bed- she rolled up my sweat pants and told me to lay back as she put my feet into this warm foot bath. I have to say, I was thinking how comfortable can this be? Well, it was so unbelievably comfortable- whether I was laying on my back with my feet in the water, after my feet were out of the water when it was time for my feet to be massaged or when I was turned over on my stomach for the backside of my massage. This table was probably the most comfortable massage table I've ever laid on and I get massages. This hour long massage was absolutely incredible- definitely not a Swedish massage but a real I'm going to work through all that stress in your body massage. I was a little light in feeling after wards and the next morning a ting sore as if I just had a great work out but today all that stress that was filling my body is gone.. The Owner Dorotee is just so wonderful and a more caring person is not to be found. She truly is in this line of work to better your health and to help you learn how best to take care of yourself and to help ward off some of the impacts of aging and living in the city. Very disappointed with the service. A gentleman who answers the phone is very nice but it was extremely hard to make an appointment with my groupon. My 1st appointment was cancelled at the last minute by them and rescheduled for a month later. The day before my 2nd appointment I was informed they had to reschedle for 3 weeks later. THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE! The WORST customer service experience EVER! Like everyone else I am now reading about, I bought a groupon... I called to schedule my appointment... no answer. During business hours, no answer. I called many times, and no answer. I finally left a message on what seemed to be a cell phone voicemail. No response. A week later, another message. No response. I finally emailed them. A week later, no response. FINALLY, after the THIRD email, I get a very short, abrupt, and rude response from them asking what my groupon number was. I wrote a very nice email asking for an appointment on a certain day, what their hours were, how long the process took, etc... and I get a rude "what's your groupon number" in return? I finally got them on the phone and a young kid answers the phone and says, sorry, we have no appointments for 5 months. FIVE MONTHS???? WHY???? ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? You expect people to buy groupons and not get ONE (of THREE) appointments for FIVE MONTHS???? He said, "sorry, we sold over 500 groupons so we're booked." Is that MY fault??? Don't you think you should have been a little more responsible and limited the number of groupons you sold so that you didn't piss off all of your customers since you knew darn well this would happen??? that is SO rude and unprofessional, I can't even begin to tell you. There are so many companies out there offering this same service... why go to a lowsy place like this when you can go to one that actually limits their quantities (it's not like you can never put it up on groupon or any other website again) and treat the customers that DO buy it from you with respect and get them an appointment within a timely manner?! SHADY. I hope everyone calls groupon and gets their money back like I did... this place is ridiculous! i hope they close and go out of business. read more

I thought about getting a cleaning and massage, until I learned about the owner. The owner can be a little vindictive. A friend of mine used to work for her and live with her. My friend felt bullied by the owner. Even the Chinese employees kept finding faults with her. This woman would call my friend names, cursed at her, threatened to kick her out and made fun of our religion. The owner thinks that Jehovah's Witnesses are bad influences on her which is ridiculous. When she wanted to move out, the owner goes off and kicks her out. So she really didn't have a chance to move all of her things out. The owner denied access to the house. So what the owner did was bagged all of her belongings herself and set them outside her house...but not everything. She never did receive her Mary Kay inventory and starter kit that were still in the shed. There were also a few a other items that she did not return to my friend; She would NOT let her see for herself. My friend was very nice to her and tolerated as much drama as she could from this owner. I wish that she coulda let my friend move HER OWN THINGS OUT HERSELF. My friend is very sad. She is a Mary Kay fanatic. If anyone is ever considering working for this low life, don't. read more
