I've struggled with digestion my entire life and as a result have have had colonics on and off for over 10 years. I've tried the open system and closed system. I've paid a range of different prices and always hopeful that I can find a solution for what has been an ongoing problem. Life saving experience! I had not been regular for almost 2 months and knew I needed a colonic intervention. Ms Rysia looked at me and began describing the symptoms I had been suffering the past 3 weeks - headaches, lethargic, legs ache, can't sleep, low immunity. Rysia puts you at ease in what could be a vulnerable position. She is very knowledgeable- and funny. She explains the procedure and it was actually a relaxing experience. After the first colonic, I had maybe 15% improvement but I felt better. I was advised that I needed multiple treatments - it was obviously true. She advised me not to eat the next day, drink diluted juice- I couldn't believe I wasn't even hungry and had energy all day. Today was Colonic #2- sparing you the details - much progress was made and I feel 75% better. I was at a point of going to the doctor but I am so relieved that a more natural option worked. I reserved an appointment for my grandmother with The Best Colonics who felt a little constipated. I did what anyone would do for their grandmother I went on yelp and Google reviews and I looked all around for "The Best Colonics" lol. Wow I literally found a business called The Best Colonics. The price was decent. I also don't mind spend any amount of money for my health (kinda). So after filling out The rigorous consent form and informational questionnaire the women lost my appointment. Mind you, you have to pay in full for an appointment. Wait let me rewind. When I called in I felt a little racial vibes y'all know I'm going to call a thing a thing. I called to schedule n appointment. So as we was talking I'm asked for the availability. The women said she had 11am. I said ok I will take that she asked was I sure, I answered yes. She (women on phone at The Best Colonics) then urged me to book my appointment online. I thought it was strange because we were on the phone. But hey we're In 2021 and everything Is online so I did not trip much. But, definitely was strange to me. Once I got to the website and seen you just pay to book an appointment I was like ohhh okay got it lol. Her place is disgusting, dirty, the bathroom is crammed with junk, as is her "clinic"... she also gave me back the wrong change, short 20$ and was very weird and shady when I asked for it back. Very off-putting experience to say the least. I booked my appointment online that morning because my regular colonic place is closed on Sundays. The lady sat me down and closed her eyes to "read" me, I felt like I'd made an appointment with a psychic. She told me that I don't trust people (nah, I'm just careful with strangers) and that I'm constipated and have lower back issues. Once I started the appointment, I am used to inserting the piece on my own into my rectum, and have always been given the choice in the past. Not here. She inserted it while asking me to breathe through my mouth "at least 10 times", and stayed there without starting the colonic. She was waiting for my "rectum to align in order to be able to release", meanwhile, this wasn't comfortable for me. Then before starting, we talked and she asked me if I'm Jewish. I said "yes" and she said "I don't work with Jews". I said "excuse me??" and she repeated with a straight face "I don't work with Jews". At this point, I was angry and my adrenaline was up, and she's like "oh no, I'm kidding. I'm Jewish. Someone said that to me once". I told her I didn't think this was funny at all. I was on the point of crying and I was shaking, I considered leaving at this point, but since I'd already paid and was bloated, I thought I might as well go through with it. Who jokes like that? The actual colonic started at 11:41 am (41 minutes later, I guess that's why she doesn't allow you to look at your phone during the appointment?). Once she got going, I asked her to put the water at a higher temperature, she refused, giving some excuse about how gas can't come out if the temp is higher than 95 degrees. She had me hold a massager and would get annoyed when I moved it (because she could sense exactly where it needed to be??). She put an acupressure machine on my left hand and was like "I usually charge people for that but I won't charge you". The whole experience was off after she made the Jewish comment: I kept asking myself if she is really Jewish or said that to catch up what she'd said about not working with Jews. (And also, the colonic was completely unproductive because I really do need warm water) read more

For healing treatments, it should be about the process of the client or peaceful silence. I asked her to stop talking and she got offended. I paid for maybe 15 minutes of actual hydrotherapy. It should have been an hour. I did not get my money's worth. Anytime I asked her questions about what was going on, I was scolded or not given a clear answer. As someone who is not a professional at colonics and paying to get a treatment done, I'm curious about the innerworkings of the process, so i expected some clarity or answers when prompted - didn't realize that was asking too much. HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE. Please read. This woman is a CHARLATAN. Period. She does not care at all about your health or experience all she wants is your money and it is blatantly obvious. I will be honest here, this was traumatic, she literally tore my anus from malpractice of the machinery, WHILE SHE WAS ON HER PHONE WITH HER EARBUDS IN WATCHING A VIDEO. Rysia is extremely unprofessional and dangerous, she should not be able to practice medical procedures anymore. This woman is literally 85, has missing front teeth, is too weak to attach integral parts of the tubing together so it doesn't leak, and can barely hear anymore so she makes you yell at her, or just straight up ignores you. The hyrdocolon session itself is less than 20 minutes. I arrived to my session with her asking me to sit down and proceed to do a "psychic" reading on me which was entirely unsolicited. I did not pay for a psychic reading, which ended up being most of the hour long session itself! I questioned if I should even get the colonic after all of her idiotic remarks about my life but she said she would take my money and charge me for the "psychic" reading. So I proceeded to get on the table and she began the colonic. She is emotionally manipulative and tells you to speak your mind and know what's happening in your body. When I tried to ask her questions about the procedure she would gas light me and ask me if I even knew how to feel sensations in my own body!? To be honest, I felt afraid the whole time because of how obnoxiously incapable she is at performing her job in a respectful and careful manner. The facility was dirty, there was still shit speckle stains in the toilet from previous customers, which was obvious she doesn't clean the office daily. The worst part is, she stopped the colonic and told me there was a big piece of poop stuck in my colon and I had to come back the next day for her to remove it. Like why wouldn't you just finish the job? I went back the next day because I felt I had to. When I was on the table she told me to close my eyes and pretend I was on the beach and if she saw anything she would tell me to open my eyes. I was like uhhh? I prefer to keep my eyes open but ok? I closed them and once I opened them again SHE WAS LITERALLY ON HER CELLPHONE WATCHING A VIDEO WITH BOTH EAR BUDS IN WHILE OPERATING THE MACHINE WHICH IF IMPROPERLY USED COULD KILL ME. The tubing slipped out of my rectum because she straight up wasn't paying attention and loosed her grip on the tube (your anus naturally clenches if there is something inside of it which will push it out) and then I told her it moved and she shoved it back inside of me and I began to feel a sharp acute pain right at the opening of my anus. After trying to bear the pain because she kept telling me it was normal, I spoke up and said something is wrong. She then told me to get up and go release in the washroom and come back. The tube fell out immediately (because it was sitting right at the beginning on my asshole). Once I released in the bathroom I came back out and she had cleaned up. I was bewildered because I was only on the bed for a total of 15 minutes, feeling very incomplete. She began to discredit my entire experience and say it was all my fault and that she "told me what the sensations were." At this point I was feeling extremely vulnerable; still naked in the gown feeling frustrated and confused. I got dressed and began to leave when she told me to sit down and start sharing my feelings. I burst out crying because of how traumatic the whole experience was and she told me that she is "saving my life." She then began to do some more psychic channeling which was super inaccurate, telling me to go get married and have children. It was all so bizarre. Normally I wouldn't write this in depth review but I really believe she is dangerous, as I have an injury. I called the next day asking for a refund and the receptionist (who is actually her daughter) denied the whole experience and has been ignoring my emails and calls. I have compassion for Rysia who clearly needs to retire but may not have the means to. But still, it is simply unacceptable. My hope with sharing my experience is to warn another human who may waste their money on this scam artist and potentially get hurt. Oh and to further prove my point -- I called around a few other colonic places and they said they've been trying to get Rysia shut down for years and it's the only place they recommend NEVER going to. read more

I love this place. The space is lovely, clear, calm and clean. Rysia is very knowledgeable and very kind. She clearly cares a lot about the work she does and for the people she helps. After only two sessions my stomach is flat again and I feel great. Rysia was able to tell me almost immediately what the problem was and how to fix it. She made me feel very comfortable and let me know what to expect at every stage in the process. Rysia has a gift for this work and I feel fortunate to have found her. Rysia is not everyone's cup of tea, so the negative reviews are honestly just people who are quite petty or dissatisfied for very minor/unsupported reasons. With that said, Rysia is one of the best in LA for hydrotherapy. She is a no-nonsense, no bs kind of person. She takes a SPIRITUAL and no bs approach to your health, which is RARE to find. Usually, people who are in Eastern medicine tend to coax you into thinking their way, but Rysia just presents her point of view and gives you advice, and leaves it up to you to follow it. During the session, she is very patient and very nurturing in her guidance given that a colonic can be an uncomfortable process to go through if you're familiar. I was taking antibiotics and my colon was not reacting well at all. As a matter of fact, I had terrible stomach aches. I needed someone URGENTLY and everyone seemed book for same-day appointments, but Rysia seemed to make an exception and made room based on my emergency. If you want someone who is going to give it to you straight, and still be nurturing and spiritual in their process, Rysia is the way to go. TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCE Upon arrival I noticed the office was clean and delightful in appearance. My first impression of the woman was that she was kind and experienced. It wasn't until I expressed confusion about what to expect that my impression quickly changed. She refused to answer with normal responses. Instead she began to psycho analyze me. She said if I had any fears that I was to leave. This was the first red flag I ignored. I assumed she didn't understand me. In fact my husband had to intervene as she struggled to communicate the treatment properly. I felt strange being there but proceeded with treatment. Whenever I asked a question at any point during treatment she would get defensive and tell me to stop over thinking. She said "If I have to ask so many questions she will charge me an extra hour." At this point I wanted to walk out but I stayed. A colonic is a vulnerable experience and she made me feel uncomfortable. She said strange things to me during treatment that made me feel violated. Such as, she can read my mind because she has psychic powers. However, everything she spoke was an inaccurate judgement or projection. Ok, everyone is intuitive these days but she was just insulting my character. I felt like my body couldn't relax in such an environment as she kept demanding I do so. She told me I needed to pay an extra $25 for her ab machine and I politely declined as I was already feeling taken advantage. She proceeded with treatment but was clearly upset with me. She turned the machine off to take a personal phone call during my treatment. This made me feel awkward. When I asked what was going on she got upset with me and told me to get off the table, that my treatment was over. I went to the bathroom and nothing came out. Personally, this was the worst colonic I've ever had, in addition to enduring crass insults. When I came out of the bathroom I explained how I felt the treatment did not work. She said it was my fault the treatment failed because I was stubborn. I then explained how she made me feel uncomfortable and failed to provide a relaxed experience and asked for a refund. She gave a threatening response stating "absolutely not I'll see you in court." This made absolutely no sense to me. This felt like a truly bizarre experience. To conclude, I will say the woman must've disliked me or something because I've never been treated so poorly when paying for a service. It was obvious she was not at ease treating me, maybe because I was more intuitive in nature and it made her uncomfortable? Nevertheless, she was very mean and impatient in her approach. I couldn't get a word in without her telling me something negative about myself. I will forever remember this experience as traumatic and irrational.
