To start, the plumber was friendly enough, but within minutes of arriving, he pivoted straight into trying to sell me a $5,000 water softener system. I don't know when every service call turns into a retail sales pitch, but it's exhausting. I declined and asked to stick to the actual issue. From there, things got worse. Before even inspecting the cartridge or looking behind the wall, he began suggesting a much more invasive (and expensive) solution involving cutting an access panel into my bedroom wall and potentially replacing surrounding plumbing. Again, this was all before any real attempt to diagnose the problem. When I pushed back and said I just wanted the cartridge replaced, I was quoted around $500. High, but fine. Then, after about 30 seconds of trying, he claimed the faucet "wouldn't come off" and immediately went back to pushing the wall-cutting option. I decided to hold off and take a look myself after he left. The faucet was stuck, sure--but with a Dremel, I had it off in under two minutes. A quick trip to Lowe's, about $150 in parts, and an hour of work later, everything is fixed. No leaks, no wall damage, no unnecessary upsell. End result: I saved somewhere between $350 and $1,000, depending on which route they were trying to steer me toward. I don't expect miracles, but I do expect an honest attempt to fix the actual problem before jumping to the most expensive option. This felt far more like a sales call than a service call. My only complaint is over the past year or so they have began to rely heavily on AI for customer support and it takes away that small town business feel. I recently had a minor emergency with my water system on a weekend and needed after hours support from a live person and the AI system was not working properly and I was not able to get the live over the phone support I needed for the emergency. Would have been so nice if they just relied on old fashioned after hours on call live person for emergency support. I don't expect a live person to stay in office 24/7 for support but in a business like this when emergencies can/do arise after hours a rotation of on call live technician support is important.

After couple of months, we got issues with well water where water started coming our muddy. I talked to King Pure who went ahead and changed filters, charged 200$. They worked for few days, and again same problem. Again, I talked to King Pure and they kept saying its due to heavy rains and changed filters again, charging me again. Again that same thing happened. This cycle of King Pure going and changing filters went on for at least two months while I was not able to rent my house since water was not coming out right and I had to refund money to guests many times. This time I talked to Ken directly and he said he will put up new filters that will cost around 800$ and that will for sure fix the problem. They went in, replaced the filters, and after two hours of that my management company told me that the water is muddy again. I immediately emailed King Pure about that. Then I got invoice for 800$ and I asked King Pure why should I pay for something that you just put out of guess and does not even work for 2 hours. I feel like this company has no idea about what is supposed to be done. They just make random guesses at the expense of customers. I then called in another water company, they came in, put a new filter system, and fixed my problem in 1 day. I am never going to use King Pure again. They costed my at least two months of rental income plus at least couple of thousand dollars I paid them for replacing filters.

Took about 4 minutes from door to door and the tightening of the bolt took seconds. The Bill was $350...Why? The service charge was only $95. So where did the rest of it come from? The owner of the company stated: "The worker drove 40 minutes one way...things are more expensive these days...our costs have doubled in the last 12 months". So beyond the service charge, the rest of the charge was around driving? I am in West Knox. Gas is $2.56/Gallon right now, what? Also the invoice only has a service fee and charge to repair, so the business contradicted themselves. I was charged before being sent the receipt, and forced to sign (a statement saying I was told prices before work was done) after paying the bill. I did not notice I was signing a statement saying prices were told to me before work was done (my eyes are bad). The company did not operate like they should in this situation, costs should be explained before work is done and they are due. Instead they did work first, told me the final price when it's due. To me this is scam behavior. Be very wary of this company, as you think you are just paying the service fee ($95) and the additional cost of the repair, but they will scam you badly with the final bill. This company used to be great (used them very recently), but something has changed very recently. If I were you I'd find a different company. Here are some much better ones: West Knox? After breaking open a wall, I found the company did not finish portions of the crawl space, they just covered the old pipe within insulation instead of pex. They also failed to complete the rest of the connections. Even though the wall was open and had complete access while the plumber apparently only connected shower and never replaced the old pipes. Instead of honoring their work and the payment, they have gone radio silent, after they asked for photos and sent someone to look at it. They've abandoned and said too much time has passed and have completely disregarded the membership that i've been paying for 4 years. Now they want to blame a guy that doesn't work there anymore.
