In a freak accident, the groom's phone slips out of his hand and it flies into the water. The restaurant told us the phone was unretrievable. And we couldn't find a net. My sister and I immediately had the idea to jump in but the dock was so high, we couldn't figure out how to get back up once my sister jumps down. Luckily Captain Mike was passing by and we waved him down, he drove up and we explained our problem. He not only let us borrow his strong flashlight so we could see the lost phone, but he even offered for my sister to get on his boat and back up from the dock from there. He was kind and patient and really saved the day. I can never thank him enough. Captain Mike, you're awesome.

When my family was embarking on a cruise from Fort Lauderdale, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to introduce my own kids to the Jungle Queen. It's a short boat ride that takes you through the canals behind the mansions and quasi-famous homes on the water. Your guide on board will tell you about the homes and landmarks you pass en route. There is a bar on board, so no need to sail sober! LOL There are also a few snacks for purchase. The air movement on the boat keeps you from getting too warm, even when the sun is blazing, but don't forget your sunscreen. There's no bad seat aboard. All in all, it's a nice little boat ride if you're looking to get outside and burn some time in Fort Lauderdale. There is a string of food shops along the waterfront outside the entrance, so you can plan to grab lunch or dinner before or after your ride. We really enjoyed our trip, but I'm deducting one star due to the boat traffic (which I know they cannot really help). Maneuvering around all the other drunks in their watercraft was kind of a drag.

I ended up with a big bruise on my calf from trying to climb the ladder out of the water with flippers on. They should have warned us about that, to take them off first.

The seats are so comfortable and the coolers and ice are built into the bar in front of you so you never have to get up. They have charging stations with usb ports and cords. You can charge your phone so you will never miss a photo opportunity. They supply music or you can plug in your own play list. The bathroom on board is definitely better than a port a john. It's clean, comfortable, and has a flushing toilet. The boat has a canopy to help block some of the sun on hot days. The captain and all the owners we encountered were extremely nice and accomedating. The lake was beautiful. We did the 3 hour cruise for a bachelorette party. What was nice about this boat is when you got tired or just didn't feel like peddling they have a motor to take over for you. When your done with the cruise they shuttle you back to your car.
