Overpriced, rude staff, and predatory business practices. They set up "reserved" chairs that take up all of the beach space in front of the Wyndham/Emerald Beach resort so that no one else can set up there. I say "reserved" because they put cards on the chairs. Some are truly reserved, as they have names on the cards, but MOST just have a card that says "Reserved" to prevent folks from setting up their own gear. After being here for 8 days, I have yet to see even the majority of "reserved" chairs put to use by customers. It is $50 per day to rent a setup. The chairs look and smell the be covered in mildew and are NOT clean. They get chairs set up for use starting at 8 am, and start collecting the chairs by 3-4 pm and they are all put up by 5. $50 a day for 8-5 access to stinky mildewy chairs is awful steep. Note: there are no tent ordinances in PCB or Bay County. Per PCB ordinances, the first 50-100 feet from the water line is PUBLIC, held in trust by the state of Florida for public use. They cannot demand you to move your gear or tent, even if set up in front of the chairs. Even if they try to convince you to move by stating you agreed to such and such in the HOA of the resort, HOA rules do not supersede city, county, or state laws. read more

Physical Assault from Chair Rental Staff in front of The Reef @seahaven My family and I were staying at The Reef at Seahaven when the AQUATIC ADVENTURES people renting chairs on the beach right in front of the hotel PHYSICALLY ASSAULTED my little brother. They laughed about it and continued to verbally assault and antagonize my family. Let me start off by saying this is a really really awful company and I'm surprised they are still in business. Anyways we had a dolphin boat ride today at 4:30pm but I fell ill several hours before. We were aware of the "non refundable fee" and called to see if we can have what we paid for shifted to another activity that day or the next day. Was told no in a super sarcastic tone... how about the next day? No. Ok well is there anything we can do credit wise? No..... "you should have thought about that before you called to schedule". This is coming from the manager of the company mind you. The sarcasm in her voice was elite level stuff. I'm all for a business trying to make money and all that as I'm in sales too and I understand the no refund policy. But what they forget sometimes is customer service can go a long way and there are avenues for customers to fight back, Yelp being one of them. I would HIGHLY ADVISE to NOT use this company for any service they offer and to look for another company that actually cares about its customers.... or acts like they do a little a least. We had a great experience with Cpt. Rob! Just our family of four went. It was our very own little tour! Saw LOTS of dolphins and Cpt. Rob help us get right in front of them so we could dive in and swim with them. He was VERY knowledgeable and shared many stories of his childhood growing up in Panama City. It was amazing. Do not trust or use. The kids wanted to go on the banana boat so we walked along the beach to the rental shack. There was no one there, a person on the beach said the worker just went surfing. We waited about 15 minutes. Anyways, the board said $35. We looked at the price online and it said $30. We asked if he could honor the website and he said the price was actually $40. The worker said stuff about his boss wouldn't let him change the price. After debating for a a minutes we decided to go. We even left a tip, anyways they double charged us. Plus they use carbon to make an imprint and now I have to get a new card. Do not use them. It just stinks that they have most of the rental down the beach read more

Our dolphin tour got rescheduled due to bad weather. We showed up on time the following one and they told us we had to take a boating test and it would dock about 30 minuets of our 2 hour tour which was fine with us because that still leaves us with an hour and a half which is still plenty of time! Then the girl at the window proceeds to tell us that the instructors left and would not return until 11 am(our tour was scheduled for 8:30am) so we would have wait THREE HOURS! But we were leaving that same day and would've been on our way home by then! We asked for a refund and they said it'd take up to a week but I just saw a previous review that said they never got their refund so I hope the same doesn't happen with us! Overall terrible service. They didn't have someone show up for work but instead of not selling so many banana boat rides, they continued to sell even in bad weather. The guy called for the kids to come put on their life jackets and we had to wait on the side of the ocean for over an hour! this place was the absolute worst. first, we tried to set up a parasailing trip but were given the run around about coupons and prices, it felt...fishy. later while on the beach, we decided we'd just do the banana boat because it was much cheaper and we'd loved it on a prior disney cruise. they quoted us 30$ for two people which seemed fine by us, and we were told it'd be a 30 minute wait. 90 minutes later, we'd sat watching another family wait at least 30 minutes in life jackets by the water, no banana boat in sight. we were getting tired and crispy from the sun at this point and decided to just get a refund and call it a day. we waited another 30 minutes to get the refund! this place is absolutely ridiculous.AVOID. read more

PARASAILING A RIP OFF! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! SCAMMERS!! We booked a parasailing tour that was "supposed" to be a 4 mile ride. Due to windy weather conditions the company did not allow us to sail on the beach. We were first told we had to drive ourselves to this marina 15 miles away; however due to not knowing the area we asked if there was transportation that could be provided so Aquatic Adventures provided a bus 30 minutes later. We arrive to the marina and had to then take another 15 minute boat ride but we were not concerned and didn't mind doing the sailing on the marina. We were told we would ride 4 miles and dip 4 times -- that didn't happen. We ascended and were literally taken up and dropped 4 times and the sailing was over -- total duration of FIVE minutes (our friend who paid 20 just to be in the boat videoed the entire tour and the video clip was 5 minutes). Then another 15 minute boat ride back and 10 bus ride. We arrived at the Calypso and spoke to the kids working the Aquatic Adventure booth and told them we felt ripped off (they agreed) but they couldn't issue a refund without the owner's approval, who not only declined a refund but also refused to even return a phone call (the employees even provided his direct cell number). The owner only offered a thirty dollars off our next visit to Panama City. We wasted half our day fighting with this company. STAY AWAY! My husband and I came on a poorly timed anniversary trip to PCB, it rained nearly the whole time we were there.. But Colt, our guide, took is on the waverunner dolphin tour anyway- despite a heavy downpour, wind, and rough waters. This tour was the highlight of our trip! Colt was very friendly, knowledgeable, and laid back. He took us on an awesome tour of Shell Island and we found a few dolphins in the water and even got to swim with them! He let us have some fun with our waverunner and even did some tricks for us! The customer service rep called us at 8 the day of our tour to tell us they would be keeping in touch with regards to the weather. That really impressed me. Me and my wife went to dolphin tour and it was highlight of our weekend.We had so much fun.The tour guide did a great job.When we saw the dolphins my wife jumped in the water and was swimming and taking pictures of the dolphins.After swimming and taking pictures our tour then went to Shell Island and looked at the sea shells.Snorkeling and swimming around 45 minutes and then headed back.It took 2 hours total and it was well worth it what we payed.That is a must do once your in that PCB area. read more

We rented a pontoon boat from these guys on Sunday. I got a little turned around and so didn't arrive early and we got even more turned around bringing the boat back because we are horrible navigators. These guys were friendly and understanding and the boat was fairly simple to operate and great fun. We had a great experience with A.A. while we were in Panama City Beach last week. The dock attendant ( John?) was very helpful and friendly with all the rules/guidelines, and was very knowledgeable when it came to avoiding the protected areas of the bay. We got lucky the first day with a brand new boat #20, she was champ.. looked good and ran like a dream! Second day, we got an older boat that was a little lacking, but any day on the water is a great day! I've been bringing my family to Panama City Beach for years. And over the years we've done about everything. Some things multiple times. I've got to say out of all the Dolphin Tours we have been on this was the worst I've ever. There was little to no interaction with the guests. The captain immediately started bossing people around on who should sit where. The front of the boat got submerged for a few seconds which resulted in all of our stuff getting soaked. Two iPhones got ruined that we thought would be secure in our bag. At the very END of the tour we started asking a few questions about some of the scenery around us. The captain responded to this by turning on the radio with his still working phone. I guess he didn t want to hear us. My advice is don't get Captain Rob or Robert. read more

My family of four were looking for an experience on the water where we could snorkel, find some shells, see some wildlife, and hopefully see some dolphins. Our captain, Scott, was very capable and did way more than just drive the boat. He pointed out landmarks, helped us find wildlife, and found a couple of dolphins for us to see. He encouraged us to really observe the environment while snorkeling so that we would see more animals. He was right! We saw oysters, urchins, fish, scallops, sea grass, and many sand dollars. Scott helped us identify all the marine life we encountered. We will very likely use these guys again. Their boat was in good shape and since it only seated six passengers we got it to ourselves. Would definitely recommend this to my friends and family. Also, Scott made a huge difference for this trip. We tried another tour about ten years ago and it was way too crowded. What a total ripoff! Just paid $100 for 4 kids to ride the banana bus...the ride lasted a total of 8 minutes including a 1 minute instruction time by the jet ski pilot. Can not imagine a bigger waste of money. Advertisements say the ride is about 20 minutes. Not! We did the dolphin tour. We had one other couple who also happened to be from IL on the boat with us & 2 male staff members. They were very friendly/helpful & answered any questions we had. They picked up items out of the water to let us touch them & we did get to see/touch many dolphins. The staff helped us find shells to take home & I got to see many other cool things. Horrible experience. Very disappointed with the lack of professionalism from this company. Yesterday we paid for one price for both the Pontoon boat rides and the dolphin tours but when we showed up today at the service window they tried to charge us more. We asked for a refund and the attendant refused to give us our money back, he was very aggressive with us and he slammed the slide door on my mother's face multiple times. When my mother asked for a brochure, he refused to give her one and he slammed the window on her finger, causing her to bleed. Needless to say, the police were involved and we finally got our money back. We decided not to press charges because we came all the way from Texas to enjoy a vacation in Florida and we would rather not spend the whole trip dealing with the company's horribly rude attendants in court. Nice cruise until the partying began. Dancing and drinking on the boat became too much of a focus. The captain referred to boating and drinking numerous times. Went on a dolphin tour and snorkeling with friends from out of town. I had no idea how much fun we would have! As soon as we checked in, we were escorted to our boat and the adventure began. Captain Rob was an amazing guide! He told us some of the history of Panama City Beach, Shell Island and then took us on a great boat ride out into the gulf. He is so friendly and funny! We saw dolphins after about 10 minutes after getting out into open ocean. Capt. Rob instructed us on how to get into the water to best see the dolphins. It was a great experience! Then onto Shell Island for some snorkeling. There was so much sea life with sand dollars, fish, sea urchins and starfish. When it came time I didn't want to leave. Never have we been more disappointed (not once but twice )by the business panama city beach water aquatic fun who totally miss lead you. We booked the Jetski dolphin tour solely on the fact that the website says you can swim with the dolphins in their natural habitat ( which I have on paper ) however upon our tour as we watched a boat pull into the cove people jump off and swim with the dolphins, we were not allowed to, even though I told the tour guide that is why we booked the tour with them. he responded with I apologize if you were missed lead but if you want to do that you have to take the boat tour which allows you to do that... so the six of us spent $50 a person and did not get what we were told. We then decided to go ahead and book the tour on the boat so that we could swim with the dolphins as we seen the other people doing. We booked it as soon as we got down with the jet ski tour because we so wanted to swim with the dolphins , it was our only reason to book again. we were told yes you can get off the boat and swim with the dolphins . I asked 3 times to clarify what we were getting to the girl who booked our tour and the two tour guides again. the next day by the girl with all the tattoos ( didn't get her name) Again she told us yes you can swim with the dolphins. Again we were not allowed due to the weather being extremely rough ..we could barely stand on the boat and therefore the captain emphasized repeatedly how dangerous it would be to go in the water with the waves almost taking in the boat. We emphasized to him that this is the only reason we again paid for another activity to swim with the dolphins. We were also told that we can snorkel and see turtles and fish. This again not true. He took us to shell island which has no shells to snorkel in ankle deep water with absolutely no sea life in site. What a joke. The weather/wind was so horrible and the waves were so bad that Panama city Beach adventure should have canceled our tour and refunded us.. I have 4 extremely disappointed teenagers and 2 adults who spent a lot of money and did not get what we paid for. I will be tweeting on twitter, yelp, Facebook and the other website to inform others of this whole terrible experience. It's really unbelievable that a business would treat people this way. Me and my friend went to parasail. The guy at the shack said a 15 minute wait max, but it ended up being 2 hours. And when I wanted to complain all he said was that he was just the guy on the beach and I'd have to talk to his manager, which he never got me the number for. When we finally got on the boat and got out on the water, the experience was great. But it looked like the crew mixed up the other two sailers in our boat so one got the cheaper ride when they paid for the most expensive.
