FYI, we haven't even been at the beach since covid. So, yeah... first time in the water in a while and learning how to surf. With great instructors anything is possible and it is never too late to learn something new. In the water they made sure we were safe and guided us thoroughly. My wife was able to stand on the board on her first wave. It was really fun. I needed more help and they were always there to coach us right along. They didn't just focus on the end result--they spent over two hours patiently working with her, correcting her form, and building her confidence every step of the way. Cat is amazing, Bjorn was incredibly patient and encouraging, and Rosa was so sweet! We couldn't have asked for a better team. Highly, highly recommend!

I came back to Huntington Beach 2 weeks later with my boys and booked private lessons for all 3 of us per recommedation from the owners. They matched the instructors with each of us very well. Mine was 6'3" and could easily handle holding my board and helping me figure it out. My 10 yr old instructor had him surfing within 45min on day 1. The young lady instructing my 7yr old adjusted board, and had him up and surfing on day 2. At 56, with 3 knee injuries, including a torn meniscus, was able to stand up finally on day 3, 4 times, in some frothy (yet not too big) waves. The beach area is an ideal learning platform as it has no rocks, coral, or other obstructions underwater except lots of hard packed sand. In the end we had a special father & sons memory of learning to surf together. We were all successful. We had an amazing time, and the staff could not have been more helpful, encouraging, and supportive. I highly recommend private lessons, because I feel like the ROI is 90+% with private lessons, and about 45-55% with group lessons. IMO group lessons can be good later on as refresher.

We are from WA state so we don't have anything like this near us. I wasn't sure what to expect but by day 2 she was surfing all the way to the shore! Her and her cousin even got to surf doubles which they loved. It was such a fun California experience. The counselors are pros and we felt like they kept her very safe. She loved the camp and wants to return next year.

We will be pressing forward with legal action. Im guessing the owner spent the money and just doesnt have the cash to pay me? The owner has commented to this review, and again, I think it lacks honesty, see my photo's for proof. She states she canceled the camp due to rough surf conditions, #1. the surf conditions were very calm, see attached historical weather report. #2. Her text message led with, other kids have unenrolled, WE HAVE LOW NUMBERS and would like to cancel. (they are smart, she may have tried to steal their money too). see Screenshots. This is a masterclass on what not to do, if you own a company and royally mess up. Just own it. Please return our money.

This was leaps and bounds above all the others. I had walked by it last summer on a walk and immediately set a reminder in my phone to sign my son up for this summer. It isn't just how well organized it is and the fact that the kids are outside in the water learning new things and challenging themselves every day, it's the way the director/owner (and all the counselors) speak to the children. It's exactly how you'd want someone leading your child while they are away from home - they teach respect, are firm in holding the kids accountable for behavior, but all in the name of having a positive experience. We will absolutely be signing him up here next year for at least half of the summer. They offer full day and half day, we did full day (8-4), but I ended up picking him up around 2 a couple of the days just because it was so hot out. I have heard the counselors consistently encourage and actively ensure the kids drink water and reapply sunscreen and you can tell they genuinely care about each and every kid. This is only my son's third day and he's already bonded with the staff and talks about Matty (the owner) multiple times a day. He's never been on any board other than a boogie board and within 1 hour on his first day he was paddling out on his own on a paddle board. I can just see his confidence beaming from this camp. He is a wonderful addition to the Watersafe team. We will always be thankful for the invaluable lessons he's teaching our son. Can't say enough about how clean the facility is - staff is constantly keeping things clean and organized. Alex is the person we see most and he is just always so polite and attentive. Love the front staff who are present most of the time we go - Corina, Mikaila, Gaby, and Montana. You all give this place such a welcoming and family vibe.

A business with a big heart…read more My children started art classes in Jan 2020 in one of Fibo studios, Little Picasso (grade K-1) and Core level (grade 2-4) respectively, because of its convenient location and class availability for each of my children. We liked the studio in our area with friendly staff. They both enjoyed the classes even though I talked my older one into taking the classes so that I could have some alone time while they were both in the classes.LOL. My only concern at that time was how much art knowledge, material techniques and personal attention the classes at Fibo would offer to the children compared to a small art studio with a long waiting list. The Black Friday in March was the last in person class they had before the studio had to close following the closure of the schools state-wide. In a couple of days after the closure of the studio, I was amazed that Fibo rolled out great online art classes, free for all the Facebook fans. Like all other distance learning, I've learned so much about the curriculum, the talents and passion of the Fibo team as well as the struggle of a small business keeping serving the community during the unprecedented difficult time. Curriculum: It was truly an eye opening experience for me to learn about the design of the curriculum of Fibo through the online classes. It can't be done without the belief and vision of the owner, Miss Jasmine, about nurturing the artistic side of each child and showing the children that art (history) is a language of humankind. Through Fibo's art history series (introducing high school art history AP class with art projects to elementary students, alphabeta serie to primary students) and around the world serie, I've especially experienced art as a vehicle of nurturing children's knowledge, awareness and appreciation of the world (natural and social) around them, in addition to the creativity and grit. Through Fibo's reading series, book reading (primary)/discussion (upper graders elementary) accompanied with an art project is such an inspiring model for bringing art and academics together seamlessly. Through Fibo's daily draw and creativity series, basic art knowledge, including color theory, perspectives, rule of 3rd, composition, different material properties and techniques, is introduced in an enjoyable way with a lot of room for creativity. Fibo team: I do not know Miss Jasmine personally except of a few message exchanges on Facebook group page and during a few adult online classes Fibo kindly offered to the parents back in July. Miss Jessica and Miss KC were teachers of my children's in-person classes. Irealized how talented they are both in art and as a teacher for various age groups until they taught the online classes. My children also love Miss Ashely and Miss Kiatlin who also teach many online classes. Miss Jasmine values the attention and feedbacks to each student and has specifically provided the platform for Core/Master students in online classes now. As a small business owner in a difficult time, she is also proactive and sincere to work with parents to provide the best possible services to suit all parties' needs. As a mother of two young children, she is a role model not only for the children but also for the adults. It's easy to sign kids up for various activities, but it's not easy to find a team of teachers with big hearts. We are so lucky to be part of the Fibo community and hope you will enjoy it as well!

The pink ones are $350 for two hours, but we went with the blue one for $250. Pretty reasonably priced if you go with about 10 people, which fit comfortably. The table on our duffy was a bit wobbly and the motor was pretty slow. Full throttle was about 3 miles an hour. At least we felt safe driving it around Naples. We brought plenty of snacks and drinks. The Bluetooth connection worked fine but the speakers were a little blown. Despite the condition of the duffy, we still had a blast. The staff was very nice checking us in, getting us started and parking the duffy. I'd totally do this again!
