    Terrible customer service. Rick Smith had posted an ad on FB marketplace a 60gallon tank with stand for $279 or tank only for $99 I sent a message requesting measurements of the tank and he never responded just raised the price to $379 or tank only for $139 In the picture the tank clearly had it written 60g -$99.

    The dude and I came here before shelter and place early March 2020 to look around as it is in a plaza that has a smoke shop and a Starbucks. We were greeted by staff and observed a dude trying to negotiate prices on a aquarium tank in which the worker did not accept any prices on the dude who was low balllin. We looked at all the various sea critters and fish. I thought the glow fish were pretty cool and prices for all animals were reasonably priced but I felt the tanks were priced excessively high but I am no fish tank expert. It was really clean inside. They even have reptiles like snakes, lizards and turtles. Overall I thought the shop was pretty cool. They do have adjusted hours due to COVID-19 so I would call before going over to make sure they are open. Overall, I would recommend this shop! I do want a Nemo and Dori fish.

    This place shouldn't be allowed to sell reptiles. I bought my snake here months ago and she was severely under weight and dehydrated. The rats they keep for feeders are in scary bad conditions in their back room, a plastic bin filled of filthy rats covered in their own shit and piss and smell horrible. The snakes are poorly kept. Underweight and their water bowls are covered in MOLD THIS PLACE NEED TO STOP BEING ALLOWED TO SELL ANIMALS

    Contacted this company, Those Two Fish Guyz, to give me an estimate. Left a voicemail. Jeremiah…read morecalled two days later. He said he got a miss call from my number and was calling me back. I asked him if he had time to come out and give me an estimate. Jeremiah said he did and would. It wouldn't be a problem. We both agreed to meet between both our schedules. On the day before the meeting of the estimate, Jeremiah texted and assured that he'd come accordingly to what we both agreed. On the day of the meeting, I thought he was running late. So I waited... and waited... and more waiting. He never showed up nor did he make a courtesy call that he wasn't going to show up. It's been several days. Still silent. A coworker mentioned the same thing about this company as well. This company pulled the same stunt on her too. Word of free advice to Those Two Fish Guyz. If you can't make it to a meeting, common sense says to give the customer a courtesy call. If you can't take on a job, give the customer a straight answer that you can't. It'll be a miracle if this company stays afloat when they're already giving potential customers red flags.

    My family contracted Those Two Fish Guyz to repair our large family pond. Initially our…read moreinteractions were pleasant and professional, however after we paid our deposit our experience with Those Fish Guyz drastically changed. During our consultation on June 6, 2024, we were ensured all the holes in the pond would be sealed, cracks in waterfall would be repaired, a new pump would be purchased and installed, a UV light would be installed, pump box wooden lid would be rebuilt, and the pond would be cleaned, refilled and would be treated with good bacteria. My mother paid the $1500.00 deposit on July 1, 2024, and work on the pond was scheduled to begin on the following Monday, July 5, 2024. After no one showed up on Monday, July 5, 2024, Tuesday, July 6, 2024, and Wednesday, July 7, 2024, my mother texted Those Fish Guyz on July 8, 2024, to inquire when work on our pond would begin. She was informed work would begin later that day; however, no one came to our residence or informed us they would need to reschedule. My mother messaged Those Fish Guyz on July 8th, 10th, 12th, 19th, and 22nd. Those Fish Guyz finally found time in their schedule to come to our residence (they also brought one of their minor children) on July 23, 2024, and spent approximately two hours "working" on our pond. They informed my mother they would be out the following day to install our wooden lid. My mother reached out to Those Fish Guyz on July 25, 2024, after they missed their previously agreed upon return date. My mother was informed they could not make it. My mother messaged Those Fish Guyz again on July 26th, July 27th, and July 29th. Those Fish Guyz finally returned to our residence on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, and informed my stepfather they were "99%" done with our pond. My stepfather informed them they did not rebuild our wooden top (they instead installed netting and plumbing pipes without speaking to my mother or stepfather), our pond was still leaking, the UV light was not installed, and the pond still had dirt, debris and was not treated. Those Fish Guyz agreed to come out the following day to complete the job and install the rebuilt wooden lid. My stepfather requested an itemized statement of the work completed, their hourly rate and the amount spent on supplies. Those Fish Guyz refused to provide the requested information because they stated they were not finished. After Those Fish Guyz did not return to our residence the following day, my mother messaged Those Fish Guyz on Monday, August 5, 2024, to see if they could complete the work that afternoon. They responded and stated they would out around 1:00 p.m. After several hours passed my mother called Those Fish Guyz and was informed they could not make it out again. My mother requested an itemized statement of the work completed, their hourly rate and the amount spent on supplies. Those Fish Guyz again refused to provide the requested information because they stated they were not finished. My mother informed Those Fish Guyz she was unsatisfied with the work completed thus far and she would like to know what her deposit was spent on thus far. Those Fish Guyz again declined to provide the requested information and disregarded our concerns about their professionalism and overall work completed. Those Fish Guyz became combative with my mother and ended the call. Minutes later, my mother received a text message stating they were going to send her into collections for not paying the remaining balance owed. Please avoid using these individuals at all costs.

I also remember the parrots at the front of this store. The service has gone down hill. The fish department is just... yikes. I've been in several times this month as I'm setting up and cycling a new tank. I purchased the tank here and wish I hadn't trusted them so much. I got the tank to start a neocaradina colony. This tank is not suitable for neos and was missing parts such as intake guard and beta flow nozzle. It's loud as hell indicating something isn't right. They said 30 day return policy but failed to mention the tank had to be unused in its original packaging. Sooooo my shrimp tank is missing key parts and is loud as hell but these tanks are typically quiet. Annnnnnd it's not suitable for shrimp. Also no one asked if I needed help I had to hunt someone down which seemingly annoyed them. The cashiers have always been friendly and helpful. Fish department is just... not what it used to be. When I asked where the neos were the guy just pointed down the row of fish and said, they're down there. Okay... lots of possibilities but okay. Good luck getting help with the aquatic plants. I was also severely disappointed to see Whitie's beta care. They have overly small tanks with betas which just keeps reinforcing improper beta care. On top of that the bettas that aren't in a tiny display tank are in even smaller cups than Petsmart! They can't even swim in a circle they are literally in small drinking cups. Most of them show signs of distress like fin clamping and their water was gross. This isn't okay. It's not terribly difficult to start a beta rack. They have such good care for their other animals. This was disappointing to see especially because they have other aggressive fish in proper sized tanks. Overall disappointing to see this and totally irritated to buy a 200.00 tank to learn it has missing parts and a return policy that was not at all clear. I hope they get their poops in a pile because this experience left a bad taste in my mouth in what has otherwise been a classic store my whole life!

Our family came here for the first time today to look into buying fish for a 29 gallon tank. Our only prior experience with fish keeping, was one fish in a bowl. Mikayla was so personable and knowledgeable...with everything! From sizes, types, environments, food,care, etc- we learned so very much from her. She was incredibly patient and kind with us all, and interacted so well with our kids too! I am not one to spend so long in a pet store, but all the tanks looked clean, and well taken care of. If there were any fish under observation, it said so on the tank, and they were being cared for. We purchased 10 fish, a live plant, 2 kinds of food, and received so much help and support with how to care for our new additions to our family. I would definitely recommend visiting this location for your fish needs. Great variety of fish, tanks, items for the tanks, food, and care products...and by far the best service we have received at a local pet store. Side note, we had previously visited another well known pet store chain locally, on multiple occasions, and tanks appeared dirty, and there were many fish not doing well. That store looked far from clean. So as a recent comparison, in the same department, I can whole-heartedly say that this location of Petco we visited is a far better choice when looking for fish needs. Heather was very sweet and gentle, and when I picked up my dog, his mood was so much different than his first experience. The worst part was dealing with the staff when I tried to get help with the returns or purchase the fish. The customer service problems started from my first visit. When I asked the employee with the lip piercing for help catching some fish, she looked at me but ignored me, so I had to asked again for another employee to assist me. I had to make several return trips because one fish died, one not happy eating, and other just too aggressive. The employee with the lip piercing and the other woman with long hair at the registers were both unhelpful and had really poor attitudes. During my third return, the employee with the piercing told me she "didn't have room to take the fish back" and told me to go get the other guy to handle it. When I finally found another employee (lady's coworker), he became frustrated and told me this would be the last time he would accept a return because I had already had multiple returned before. Instead of addressing the fact that the fish were dying shortly after purchase, or aggression, or sad fish, I felt like I was being blamed as the customer. Also I returned the fish within the store's 30-day return period A good fish store should care about the health of the animals they sell and treat customers professionally when issues happen. Unfortunately, my experience was the opposite. Unhealthy fish, poor customer service, and a frustrating experience. I recommend avoiding this location. Especially avoid the Cashiers that never happy with their job
