This is a strictly salt water aquarium store that offers fish, corals, invertebrates, some tanks…read moreand stands, along with supplies like food, filters, salt water, and whatever chemicals people add to their tanks (I don't get that far into it, that's all my husband). I have mixed feelings about this shop. I love supporting a local business, and the people here are very nice. They have a decent selection of fish, and many that are uncommon at other similar stores. Their display tank is pretty. They are one of the few places that sells corals. Not all fish stores have cleaning crews available, but they have a good selection of shrimp, crabs, and snails. Also they are the closest store of this type to my home. But they just don't take great care of a lot of their tanks. This seems to be an issue at most aquarium livestock stores, but that's no excuse. It makes me question wanting to support them when I see depressed looking fish swimming around. Maybe they just got them, or maybe they are sick....but there are usually at least a few that just don't look happy. Yesterday I saw a poor tang that looked completely malnourished. Along with this most of their coral tanks were in need of some TLC. Their frags had aiptasia, and were not bright and vibrant as they should be. On our most recent visit my husband and I just bought food and some hermit crabs. There are signs all around marking sales, a lot of the fish say they are 30% off, and the invertebrates were supposed to be 15% off if you bought at least $25.00 worth. When we checked out the cashier gave us our total, and I asked if we'd received the additional discount. She shrugged rather unapologetically and said, "No," but that she could add it. Um....I shouldn't have to remind you of that. The customer before us had to tell her to add a discount as well. If you're going to have all these "sales," your associates should know what they are. Maybe she was new, but I don't want to have to be "that person" that questions the price on everything when I'm checking out. This isn't all to say it's a bad place to do your aquarium shopping. I really want to like it. But just keep these things in mind when visiting. If nothing else at least if you buy a fish you can take him home and maybe give him a little better life. Even paid him $50.00 above the agreed upon price for his visit. We agreed on regular monthly maintenance. When it came time for the next appointment Jimmy never showed. After a couple of days I was to reach him by phone. Agreed that he would come the next day. At the appointed hour Jimmy again was a no show. Reached him by phone and was informed by Jimmy that he had an emergency with one of his clients in Heber. Jimmy said he would call and reschedule. You guessed it. Jimmy could not be contacted. Left many messages over the next two weeks. He never would return a call. Both my wife and myself are disabled. I am a 100% disabled veteran. We are very disappointed. They acknowledged that one of the fish was sick when we bought it, but refused to give us a refund or exchange. They said it was because the fish didn't have a warranty, but if you knowingly sell fish that are sick, there should be an exception.

They had a listing for some seedlings on the Shop app which I purchased back in early August. After waiting a couple of weeks with no indication of my package being shipped, I decided to contact them asking if there were any additional steps that I needed to make in order for my package to ship to which they never responded. I would send an email to them inquiring of the same thing every few days or so to which they continue to ignore. They are active on their social media pages (IG, FB, PalmStreet etc) so, I decided to try and reach out to them through their social media just to be ignored there as well. As of now, still completely ignored other than a simple "hi" response on IG after sending another message requesting a refund. To that "hi" I pleaded for a refund to just receive the commercial response of "we're so busy and will get back to you as humanely possible". At this point, I have reported with Shop (which they can only send an email to have the shop to respond) twice now, and filed a dispute with Affirm about my payments to this store which Affirm can't refund me UNTIL the store issues the refund. With their lack of response to all three parties, it being close to three months with no response, and not wanting my credit to be negatively impacted, this store has stolen my hard-earned money and I would advice staying clear of this store.

Each time they leave a paper of what they have done, and in over 50% of the services, it has been a "Fabrication of Falsehood". Each time the service was done wrong, they would fill my already full skimmer right back into the tank and re pump the crap the skimmer had been collecting for the last three weeks. So much for a water change! The last time this happened, I called that evening to have someone call me. No call back, no response, nothing. Am I out of line here? Kind of like doing an oil change on your car, but taking the oil filter and dumping the stuff it collected into the new oil. Ryan, please call me, you know my number.
