Delivered a new snapper to me with out fuel and a failed starter. Refuse to repair because leaving for oil fields and unknown return date. After waiting for over a month I took it to league city equipment for repair. Do not do business with AR. read more

When I purchased my home a few years back, I was so excited to mow my own lawn. I went and spent a lot of money on all my lawn care needs. After that first summer, my enthusiasm slowly dwindled away. I started paying a lawn care company, but it never looked as good as when I did it myself. So, I decided to do it myself again this year. My almost new lawn mower had sat so long, it needed some tuning up. I search online and found this company. I brought my lawn mower over and was told it just needed a little tune up and carburetor and air filter needed cleaning. His prices were reasonable and my mower was done the next day. Ryan, the owner of the business was straight forward and had excellent customer service. No up sell or anything. Their specialty is small engine repair. I just had the most tremendous experience with these guys. I had a two-year old lawn mower and a 10-year old edger that haven't worked for a year. I know how to tinker a little, but am lame at major repairs. Ever since Tunney's went out of business I haven't known where to go for small equipment repair until I Google searched and found AR a month ago. These guys know how to do business. Ryan is friendly, personable, and greets you when you walk in. He's forthright about costs and more than fair in pricing. He let me know ahead of time that he would call before making a major repair and, true to his word, called me to provide an update on my equipment. I dropped my stuff off on Monday and it was done by Thursday which included: Lawn Mower: New self-propel cable, carburetor, air filter, and blade -- gassed up and with new oil Edger: New blade, air filter, carburetor, gassed up with fresh oil When I showed up to pick it up they had washed and cleaned my equipment and started them both in my presence. The price was awesome, but the service was even better. Can't say enough good about these guys' customer service. Glad to finally have a place in Pearland I can trust. read more

I brought a Huskarvana 440 to these guys because my chainsaw wouldn't idle and was a little tough starting. Chainsaw cut great, but maybe thought maybe it needed some carb adjustments. Immediately after getting there the guy at the counter began to tell me how inferior huskarvana chainsaws were. I explained that this was a year old chainsaw, that I bought from Lowe's. He began trying to sell me a chainsaw that they carry there. I explained that my chainsaw was fairly new and was going to keep it. They happen to be a Huskarvana service center, so I leave it there since the reviews are pretty good for this place. A couple of weeks later I get a call and the service guy tells me that the whole top end is crap and he's working with Huskarvana to repair it.....Nice !! Right on!! Get it a couple of days later, So I fuel it up with Huskarvana approved fuel and oil. Start cutting some branches. After about 5-10 minutes this chainsaw gets really hot and shuts down. I let the machine cool down for the day and try it it again....the machine feels really bogged down and doesn't idle again. I noticed oil leaked all on concrete floor and no fuel in it. I take it back to there shop and explain to him the situation. He asked me what fuel I used, I explained Huskarvana. He then immediately tells me "I told u not to use this fuel". I noticed right away he began to try to pin this situation on me the customer . When I initially received the chainsaw the service guy, turned on the chainsaw for 15 seconds, not enough time to really test it. Second screws were missing from the handle, handle fell off while I was testing it. Third parts were broken from the chainsaw casing. Leads me to believe as a customer, that work was rushed or not properly done. I leave it there so they can look at it again and I get a call back from the service guy on how Huskarvana has ruled that it was a user error. These guys just covered there behind and pinned there sloppy work on me the customer. They didn't even try to make it right, I just left the chainsaw at there shop they can keep it. Brought a small John Deere lawnmower in. It wasn't starting well and was running poorly. Fairly new model. The sign is posted at the counter that says the service will be provided between seven and 14 days. I called 9 days after hearing nothing to check on it. The lady said they haven't even touched it yet, and she would call me when they started on it. I called on day 14 (business days) and she told me they hadn't started on it and there were six other customers ahead of me. It might be next week sometime. I went to pick it up. I said "Hello, I need to pick up my lawnmower. Its 14 days and when I called earlier you said it was going to possibly be next week. That's just too long, I need it to cut my grass. Here is the ticket." She just took the ticket, asked for my credit card, and returned the $39 fee. She didn't say a single word. She didn't offer any kind of apology. She took the ticket out to the shop, came back in and said he'll bring it around. Cold, didn't give a damn about any inconvenience to me. The mechanic rolled out my lawnmower and helped me load it in the back. As I was pulling away I noticed some guy who looked like he probably was the owner came walking across the parking lot from the residence looking like he was concerned. I got news for you dude, a small business is not passive income. You've got a slick operation set up here. Lots of nice bells and whistles when you call and ask about service. But looking at your yelp review I think you need to put your ass in the chair and do some work. Just my opinion. I took my mower to another place the same day and they finished doing what I need them to do in two hours. This business -- AR equipment -- is a joke. I have a generator I need to rehab, a couple of chainsaws I need to get running, and 24 wheelers I was going to bring for them to work on. That's not happening! read more

Poor poor service. I brought my power washer in for repairs. It wasn't spraying with good water pressure. I informed Joe I need it ASAP so that I could wash and then paint my house. About 10 days later, I called and Joe said it was working now. I asked Joe if he tested the spraying power and he responded he tested it and it was working properly. I picked it up, got it home and powered it up. NO WATER PRESSURE. I called Joe and let him know it wasn't working and I brought it back for more work and I let Joe know I needed it ASAP. I thought Joe would get right on it and have it fixed in a couple days. I called weekly to inquire why it was taking so long. Joe said, "We ran out of Pump Saver". The lamest excuse. AR Equipment never called me once to inform me of the status of my power washer. Extremely poor service. It took Joe over 5 weeks to evaluate my power washer and determine it needed a new pump. I paid $80 to a backyard repair shop that couldn't fix a simple pump. Don't waste your time with these guys. read more

What a joke after I dropped my Echo trimmer for over a week and I paid $95.00 for repair cost. I took it home and in 15 min I had to restart my trimmer nearly dozen times. Joe clearly does not know what he's doing. I regretted to bring my trimmers there. Now I have to return it for service. Still don't have it for 10 days. Pissed off. Perhaps no star rating is what this business deserve. read more

I took my generator to Ryan not running. Like many people do it wasn't started for months. 2 days later he had it running like new. Cheaper than expected. I took my chainsaw to him with the same issue and got the same results. Highly recommended read more
