The good: Reasonable prices, friendly technicians, were able to be booked on short notice The bad: I caught a mistake myself that would have caused some drywall damage if I didn't convince/ show them before the left. In summary, my laundry room was recently painted and the dryer vent ducting came out of the back of the machine. I tried to fix it myself but when I pushed the machine back against the wall the duct kept coming off. Unfortunately I found this out by leaking a whole dryer load worth of hot air into my house (fortunately we have an electric dryer so it wasn't bad fumes). Anyways, I yelped around to find a good local company, and strawberry appliance was able to make it out within a few hours. The guys were friendly, replaced the duct from the wall to the machine with a more pliable one so that would stop coming undone, and all this went well. The issue was the connection on the opposite side of the wall had come undone from the work they did, so essentially all the hot air wouldn't have ducted directly outside. I'm sure this would have caused some moisture issues, and I would have expected them to check that before they wrapped up, but they appreciated me catching it and were able to quickly and easily fix it. Overall I would use them again, but would keep an eye out as they haven't fully gotten my trust yet due to the one mistake on the one time they came out. read more

The serviceman never quoted a price but their service charge is $79. It took 5 minutes to replace a fuse that cost about $1 wholesale and charged an additional $97 in ADDITION to the $79! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. Their office staff is also rude and obviously doesn't care about customers or repeat business. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!! Their company advertises that their service charges are $59, but if a repair is done the $59 is not charged. That is not true. They charge $79 for a service charge and then additional charges. For a 5 minute replacement of a $1 fuse they charged an ADDITIONAL $97. The service man never said he would be charging such an outrageous amount. He also failed to adhere to this company's advertised claims of waiving the service charge if a repair was made. Instead he charged $79 for a service charge. The advertised rate of $59 was exceeded by $20 and then he added an additional $97 just to replace a fuse that cost $5 retail (it's cost wholesale is probably just $1). Beware!!! Do not believe their advertised claims. Also, when explaining this to their office the person was abrupt and rude. I had one good experience with the company and one very bad one--about 1 month apart. In the first experience, they were quick, friendly and knowledgeable. Got my dryer fixed within minutes. I thought to myself, "I'm using them every time moving forward." In the second experience, I called them early in the week to schedule a repair call on several appliances in my rent house. The tenants were moving in on Saturday, so we scheduled it for Friday morning. I got a text Friday morning saying that they were sorry but they do not service my ZIP Code. That would've been nice to know several days earlier when I booked the appointment. I called the main office and left a message requesting a call back. I called the repair person's mobile number and made the same request. I tried one more time at the main office, they did not answer and never returned the call. I am very disappointed in their service since I was excited to use someone local who at first seemed good. I won't be using them again. read more

Rick and Ryan responded to my refrigerator problem and were upfront as to what the problem was and let me know the compressor and seals were still under warranty. I contacted Sears ( I have a french door Kenmore Elite fridge, model #795.74033.411, which is about 3 years old) and they are sending a tech tomorrow, which is what Ryan and Rick said I should do. I had a service man come out July 22 to see if my dishwasher could be fixed. Was told they could order a new part and it would take a week to get it. Called 4 times since then - three times I was told by the lady answering the phone that she would look and call me back. I left a message on Aug 13 looking for answers and no one answered the phone so I left a message requesting an update. It is Aug 18 and I still haven't received a call. I signed up for a 4 o'clock appointment for Thursday. When 4:30 hit with no call I called them to find out where they were. They apologized and said they couldn't come. They asked if they could do it today at the same time. The familiar pattern came again but this time no one was there to answer the phone. I waited for three hours for no one to come. No call, no email, no text. I get that things happen and you cannot always keep your appointments, but at the very least you should have the common courtesy to let us know so we can move on with the rest of our day and with another company that can be bothered to show up and/or contact us if they can't. read more
