This place is a great change-up from the usual options for parties big or small. To be specific, it's a relaxed, welcoming crafts & arts store, yet upper-end projects netting you items you'll want to display in your home. The employees are down-to-earth and inviting. We had organized a kids' bday party and it was a wonderful, bright experience. One of the workers, Jenny B., hosted. She happily took the onus with the 9-10 y/o kiddos, patiently instructed them (we chose making bracelets as the project, but there are many projects from which to choose) and let them create freely from there! A much appreciated reprieve from all the digital interaction kids engage with these days. Both the parents and kids appreciated! My mom and I did the chunky knit blanket class today and had a lot of fun! We struggled starting out our blanket but the instructors were very patient, helpful, and encouraging (especially the lady who was running the workshop.) We found the knitting to be relaxing once we got the hang of it. We enjoyed it so much that we bought some yarn to try to recreate another blanket at home. Looking forward to trying new classes in the future! If you take this class make sure to come early so you can get first pick on the color yarn you want to work with! read more

AR workshop is SO MUCH FUN! You get to feel crafty and also get to work with small power tools, while making a piece that is Pinterest-Board worthy! And who doesn't love a good power tool? Its like a craft store and woodshop had a baby and that baby was AR. The staff is so friendly and more than willing to help you get that stencil on just right. You can jam out to some Bon Jovi while sipping on a Stella and painting a block of wood that's you design to be the world cutest customized serving tray. I visited for a birthday and we all created some amazing pieces. I highly recommend! *Pro Tip: visit their website before you visit the shop and order the project you want to make ahead of time. That way the staff can get all the stuff you'll need ready for you before you arrive! read more

Came to vacation in Seattle and discovered this great shop while exploring Washington. The staff is incredibly friendly and super helpful. My friends and I made some fabulous stuff for our homes back in California that were easy to stuff into our luggage. I wish we had this shop back home I would be there every week! I went to AR workshop with some people from work as a team building experience! The staff was very helpful, knowledgeable and had some really creative ideas!! It was so fun. They serve drinks (alcoholic wine cooler types and non alcoholic drinks) and snacks as well! What a great activity to do by yourself or with a group. read more

Yesterday I showed up for my pre-paid class. Everyone in my group had a spot to sit, but not me. They said that I had canceled the reservation. I said, no I had not cancelled. They checked and said that it was paid, but cancelled. They never apologized, but tried to squeeze me into our table instead of moving another person, who was not in our group, to a table that had one other person sitting at it. I was doing a very large project that would have made of us sitting there problematic (32" plus my supplies was well over 1/3 of the table), no other place in the class had 3 people sitting on one side of a table, so it was clearly not normal or desirable. So I said, why not move the other person to sit with that lady? The lady picked up the supplies and slammed them on the other table and said that lady is not part of the class and stormed off, making me feel terrible and look bad. 1.How was I to know that? Why not act like a grown up? 3.Why not be nice to me when you screwed up my reservation. Last note, the other person never showed up, so I suspect that she was the one that cancelled and they cancelled the wrong reservation, so when I showed up they were unprepared with my stencil and I had to wait while everyone was ready. Although our table helper Nicole was very nice, the person is charge was rude and unapologetic. This business was totally unprofessional. read more
