I tried one of their bowls and was so impressed with the huge variety of flavor combinations to choose from. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and delicious, and you can really customize your bowl to make it exactly what you're craving. The prices are very reasonable, and the service was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. And do yourself a favor--save room for the pistachio baklava! Tried a falafel pita. Service procession was confusing and needlessly inefficient. At this time of evening, the sun pouring in the place was truly punishing, for both workers and patrons. Now to the food. You pick from their Subway/Chipotle-style arrangement what you want in your pita or bowl. I can't say I'm a fan of that arrangement, but it is what it is. Choices are good. Pita was good and quite large. Everything tasted fresh. One of the women helped me decide what to put in my pita, as I was kind of at a loss with all the choices before me. It was good falafel, but I've had better. It was a lot of food, but it reminded me a bit of the chipotle experience, in that you work your way through the meal, eating your way through what they added last to what they put in first. In other words, the first few bites had the delicious garlic sauce I requested, but as I kept going, it ended up being a bunch of cucumber and tomatoes from the Arabic salad thing they put in first. Falafel was more or less spread throughout, but it certainly wasn't in every bite. Was it good? Sure. Great? No. Service was confusing (as I said) and slow. With a tip, it was nearly $16 for a good falafel pita. I can't say it was worth it. It would've had to be stellar for me to return (especially when I live so close to Yasmine's, which has a far more extensive menu). It wasn't. I won't be back. read more

New Mediterranean food in the NE Heights neighborhood! Their system is interesting but works just like Chipotle. First you choose whether you want a sandwich or a bowl (more like a plate) with a choice of meat. We got one of each with beef shawarma for the bowl and mashawi chicken for the pita. Next they'll have you wait until the meat is freshly cooked in front of you. Then you'll be able to go back up to the counter to get your choice of unlimited toppings. Great spot for casual middle eastern food! Kind of like Chipotle, you pick your protein in a bowl or pita sandwich. Then they give you a number. You wait for your number to be called and then you pick your toppings. After picking your toppings you pay. You get rice and A LOT MORE FOOD with the bowl. Even the pita sandwich has a very generous portion. I loved the chicken shawarma meat and they had so many delicious toppings to choose from. They will answer any questions about the veggies and sauces. They custom make your shawarma, falafel or plate orders. They ask you what vegetables and sauces you want. That way your meal can be specific to what region of the Middle East or country you're accustomed. We got shawarma and falafel pita sandwiches and added the veggies and sauces. Let me be the first to admit, we did not know about this place. In fact, they are so new that they do not have their business listed on Facebook, but they are on Yelp. Having admitted to stumbling across this restaurant, let us tell you it is great. Seriously good food, counter service, and sufficient tchotchkes (ambiance) to entertain. Somehow, people already know about Arabian Bites, even though it has not been open very long. We arrived around 10:30 AM, and we were quite alone. But within half an hour, there was a long line to order. Tasty food that comes with an unlimited number of toppings. You order either bowls or pita, then chicken or beef, then the toppings. It can be a hard sauce to perfect with so much garlic it can be made bitter but there's is perfect! ! No bitter bite whatsoever! We got the chicken bowl, beef bowl, and the pita sandwich. I've been here twice now. The food is tasty. I've ordered the falafel bowl and the chicken shawarma. Wait times can be long so plan for 20 minutes to get your bowl. You'd think this would be fast food considering it is in a strip mall but it's not quite quick. This restaurant suffers the most in customer service and sanitary expectations. One to two people handle the ordering, serving and cashiering but don't do it well. You also have to be familiar with the ethnic toppings you are ordering or be prepared to feel clueless. Lastly, while dining in the first time, there was a fly roaming around open food, the lady tending to food was on her phone while replenishing items, and most employees do not wear gloves.
