Gyros used to be a really good Greek spot next to campus. The person that cashed me out was not friendly at all. I recently went and it was the worst food. The dolmas (stuffed grape leaves) were disgusting. The rice was hard and had no flavor and the grape leaf wasn't even cooked properly. The falafel was cold and dry. Gyros is a busy spot next to Frontier and UNMs campus. I usually just order online and pickup. I typically get the Gyro but everything looks good here. The Gyro meat is very good and they give you a good portion. Prices are very reasonable. My only complaint is that they use cherry tomatoes versus tomato slices on their sandwiches/gyros. read more

My husband chose the beef kabob meal, accompanied by a generous portion of Greek salad. We loved everything about the food. The gyro meat was perfectly seasoned and tender, complemented by the crunchy homemade chips. The Greek salad was fresh and flavorful, with crisp vegetables and tangy feta cheese. The only minor complaint I would make is that the fish was a bit salty, but it didn't detract too much from the overall enjoyment of the meal. It's near UNM so the traffic is regular. Rather I order in or via take out selflane, if an item on the menu isn't available, they reach out to me so there's no surprises. Color me impressed! We happen to find this on yelp while at the Elite Event at Public House on Valentine's Day. Walked right in, not too busy, which was reassuring since it's such a popular day. It's counter service, which is likely why it wasn't as busy on Valentine's. The bourdeaux is delicious, reasonably priced. Baklava delicious although the grocery store on the west side is better in my opinion. Their gyro platter was delicious - meat nice and tender, moist, plenty of onions, taziki sauce and fixins. You should definitely get the jalapeno whipped feta appetizer. It is quite spicy - not for the feint of heart, but if you like spice, I highly suggest it. One couple we saw had run out of pita and had plenty of leftover spicy whipped feta lol. I'm actually not a huge shephard's pie fan, but it sounded delicious so I tried it, and I was not disappointed. The green chile was delicious along with the chicken - I'll be getting this again. Both meals were outstanding and delicious! We followed up with desserts of Rice Pudding and Walnut Baklava, both also amazing.
