My wife and I first brought our adolescent daughter in to see her and she was able to immediately develop a good relationship with her. She worked with our daughter and within a couple of weeks, of only meeting with her 3 times!, our daughter was like a changed person. Our daughter started talking to us, she quit cutting and even her school work started to improve. Janice met with my wife, my daughter and I and explained what she and my daughter had been working on (my daughter who is 13 gave her permission) and what their goals were. Then she set up an appointment with my wife and then me and then eventually our whole family started to meet.
