My father had an appointment this morning and when he arrived, they told him that the doctor was out of town on vacation. When proceeded to ask if there was another doctor to see my father, they simply replied no and when asked if they had advised the patients that the MD would be out of town they also said no. Tell me why my mom who is 70 years old and can't hardly see was scheduled for surgery at 6am but they organize the ride share to pick her up at 4:30am and when she gets to the location there is absolutely no one there. She's elder that can't hardly see in front of a building that is closed and is freaking dark outside!!! Who does that? I call and spoke to a lady so that she can just tell me "oh they do that. They will open soon but doesn't know at what time just that the office opens at 8". What the freak is wrong with human beings now and days!! They speak because they have a mouth but absolutely no compassion whatsoever. And who schedules these poor people. I can't imagine to how many people they do this too. I had Doctor Wals fixed a misaligned lens that another doctor had done approxmately twenty months ago in my left eye and so on January 14th, 2026 he installed a new lens and he did a great job and I had to wear an eye patch afterwards and I went back the next morning and he took the patch off and I could see immediately. Then Dr. Aran did my right eye because I had really bad cataract and if I covered my left eye, I could barely see out of my right eye and if somebody was 10 feet away I couldn't even tell you what color eyes they had so on March 5th 2026 he did the surgery and it was painless and he did it under ten minutes and I could see right afterwards and I didn't have to wear an eye patch at all and it was a great experience!!!!!!! read more

The receptionists give you the run around to leave a message for surgical department. I have called repeatedly for 4 months after already waiting 6 weeks for their call back and nothing. I needed to reschedule my appt and after 3 DAYS when no one picked up the phone, at age 83 with multi-eye issues it was a wakeup call! My opthalmologist Dr. Fernando Lopez was awesome with competent staff but WE patients should not have to beg for communication! My field study test was administered by a new lady who was sweet but I have mono vision and couldn't communicate as she spoke no English and and I speak no Spanish in Miami Fl. I have switched to an extremely efficient eye clinic. I see many low ratings listing a complaint like mine. This is very sad for ANYONE to be treated like they treated like they don't matter!! These people are the WORST. They are notorious for changing your scheduled appointment WITHOUT CONSULTING WITH YOU! That's right they will just up and change it and you won't know if the next time it will be changed again. It's absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. For a medical office that is extraordinarily unprofessional and honestly very shady. That means they overbook all their appointments. They don't even care if you have filed for the day off from work or something in advance for the date that was confirmed as your original appointment date before they moved it. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Went to Aran eye in Miami Oct 2024 and was told I needed eye surgery, that it wasn't an emergency but should not wait more than 3-4 months. The doctor wasn't as nice as any I have seen in my 66 years, but not terrible. They made an appointment at the Coral Gables Aran eye surgical facility. In January I received a text from them that my appointment in Coral Gables would be on April 18 (about 6 months since I saw the doctor), then I received a text the same day that my appointment was April 25th, but way down south in Cutler Bay. On March 6th I received a text that my appointment would be on June 17th. On March 13th I received a text in Spanish (I don't speak Spanish) with a date of April 18th. On April 23rd I received a text msg. that my appointment was April 28th, way down in Cutler Bay, I called Aran eye & advised I was waiting for my appointment in Coral Gables. (They rarely answer the phone at the surgical center) On June 12th I received a text that my surgery would be on June 17th, but it was in the morning (due to other health issues I needed an afternoon appt.) so I called to request an afternoon appt., had to leave a message. I called again on June 13th and left the same message. On June 16th they called & said the surgeon would not do the surgery because it had been over 3 months since I saw the doctor!!!!! Even though the first scheduled appointment was 4 months after I saw the doctor. This is the most difficult medical facility I have ever had to deal with, and I wonder if they have caused the delays and problems because I am on Medicare. read more

I am disgusted with the unprofessionalism and lack of compassion at this doctor's office. They frequently make and then cancel appointments without notifying patients, causing frustration and wasted time, especially for elderly patients who struggle to get here. I've seen people wait in the lobby for long periods, only to be told their appointments are canceled because the office is overbooked. This practice is downright abusive. The language barrier with the staff makes communication challenging, and trying to reach them by phone is nearly impossible--it often takes an hour for someone to answer. When it comes to handling prescriptions, they're just as unreliable. My husband had to wait four days to get his medication approved, which is unacceptable. During my last visit, I saw five people leave the office upset because their appointments had been canceled without notice. This place is a disgrace and should be shut down! My review for Aran comes as an indirect consumer, since my mom's been the one getting treatment. But since I've accompanied her to the surgeries and spoken with the doctors, I believe I have the right to speak out. Most of the positive stars come from the fact that Mima's vision has markedly improved. Dr. Walls and Dr. Masvidal, as well as their residents, appear to have great book knowledge and excellent bedside manner. Dr. Walls in particular has taken his time to explain the procedures as clearly as you can and even getting technical with me. Bravo! As far as non-medical personnel, there's an employee there from one of the other HMO plans who's helpful with all patients. But, almost as an echo of the other review, the reception and a lot of the ancillary personnel leave A LOT to be desired. Speaking just about today's experience, the receptionist on the second floor (first initial F.) seemed particularly rude. She would speak really loud and seemed to have a short temper with a lot of the patients. She appeared to rush the patients who were trying to read the forms they were signing, for example. It is also hard to contact this clinic by phone, whether to make an appointment or with follow up questions. The one incident I had to press the button for "Doctor Emergency" to actually get in contact with someone. Let's not mention that they sometimes double and triple book. My mom's appointment was for 9AM and she didn't go into the procedure room close to noon. From the other reviews, I see I'm not the one with the opinion that this clinic needs some customer service improvements. Here's hoping they take heed. read more

I just cannot describe the disappointment with Aran Eye Associates. I will not trash the staff nor the services because is not my style, but this place is the most disorganized and clearly do not care. All started since February, with them cancelling my first surgery without giving me options. I made an appointment in mid-June for July 16th at the Galleria offices in Fort Lauderdale. On July 9th, I called to verify that they had my primary care physician's referral, and they told me they were working on it. On the morning of July 11th, I received a text message saying that my July 16th appointment had been changed to September 4th because the doctor would not be seeing new patients. This is an absolute lack of respect for the patient, and when I contacted them by phone, their response was that there was nothing they could do about it. Terrible service and unreliable. The worst. Don't trust your eyes to them! They run the office like an General Motors assembly line. Keeping 20 - 30 patients in various rooms in the complex at one time. That was the first red flag. No one answers any phones at any of their offices. Number two red flag of many to come. First of all I was at ARAN EYE Institute (one of several names they go under). I was there for double vision, Diplopia. As soon as they saw the Optom wrote cataract with the double vision diagnosis, cha-ching! All attention was forever placed on catarat surgery for both eyes. Well, they did the wrong eye first. That was a problem I had to deal with throughout the entire 3 months. You see ARAN contracts out the clerical end of the business. Everything except the doctors are on a separate contract. Nice huh? As a result, the doctors really have no authority over what happens- or care. Lacking responsibility the doctors use it to their advantage throwing their hands up in the end. They all know it too. It's a game to them. Lacks integrety Anyway, they said the diplopia would clear up later. 3 months I am still seeing double. I tell the doctor Febrega on my exit exam. Dr Fabrega freaks out explaining now HE has a problem he has to deal with. Then he writes an order for a MRI, STAT because he thinks its a tumor in my head pressing on it. Also wants to see me in a month. I then begin to schedule appointments with the MRI office 3 times over the month. Each week called back and cancelled because Dr Fabrega failed to send what they calll "clinicals" over to the MRI office so the insurance can be approved. Also each week scheduling and cancelling a ride to the MRI appoint. The MRI office called the good Doctor Fabrega at ARAN, three times to request clinical. I been trying to reach anyone there and my Retinologist even called to no avail. So I am finished dealing with them. I never knew of a poorer service business. There is nobody to complain to and know one cares anyway. read more

Someone in this company has to be responsible for what happens to me. Avoid this Doctor's office... Very poor service / Management.. I placed an appointment 3 months earlier to see the Ophthalmologist. Sent in the referral at which point the office said they would call in for the insurance authorization. Two weeks prior to my appointment i called in to check that everything was good with the upcoming appointment and they said Yes or they would have called me. The day before I called again to make sure all was good with my appointment the next morning . Again they said yes all good. I take the day off from work to go and as i'm filling out paperwork the front desk lady tells me they don't have the insurance authorization. So no appointment what a waste of time! read more

The unprofessionalism of the employees at this location and the lack of organization and follow up to their patients. I have call multiples times and sent emails and still no one responded. I can't believe no one can give a time frame to schedule a surgery even if is 6 months from now but instead they keep telling you "someone will call you back" for months. Writing this review on behalf of a family member. An appointment was made in February for April 11, quite a long time but okay. On March 21 a text was received confirming the April 11 appointment, and another confirmation text was sent April 6th for April 11. On April 11th, a text was received the appointment was rescheduled and to wait for the new date. The new date was moved to April 19th. After two more confirmation messages leading up to the 19th, another text was received on the 19th saying the appointment was moved to June. This place has a habit of stringing people along until THE DAY OF the appointment and changing it which is highly inconvenient to schedule around. This place is so disorganized, I would not trust it to cut a family member's hair let alone their eye health. read more

I have been taking my mother here for years. It is a complete nightmare. They over book intentionally and it is quite sad as 90% of patients are elderly and they make them wait for hours. It's just horrible and the customer service at the front desk are so rude and not remotely interested in providing any help or try to help patients. Called in January por an appointment, nothing available until April, during that visit a procedure was scheduled for June 20. Over a month later re-scheduled for July. Not respect for patients time, we have other things conflicting with the new date, but they absolutely don't care. Half a year wasted waiting for a doctor too busy to be human. read more

ANYTHING IS BETTER THAN THIS! DO NOT ever recommend this place to your FAMILY! I help my grandmother when she has to come here so I can honestly say from firsthand experience how they treat people here. Nobody helps the elderly. All of the patients there are treated like cattle and scooted out without being able to get a question answered they cut you off mid sentence. I had to help an elderly lady who was completely blind find the bathroom because none of the staff was willing to walk her. When her name was called I mentioned she was in the bathroom and she soon came out, I walked her to the front and the lady said she had to wait because they had already called the next patient. One star is even too high for Aran Eye Associates. I would NEVER recommend them. 8:30 am appt and the office was packed and no dr, he arrived at 8:45 and was told they had 91 patients in one day! I asked not once but 3 times if they did contact fitments for Ketrokonus. I was assured they did . If u can see well enough to read this beware! We had a terrible experience and my father partially lost his eyesight because of dr mansur's terrible work and practice. No doctor performs surgery without a follow up the next day. Especially on ur eyes. We are still finalizing his recovery to this day before taking this further. read more
