In 26+ years of living in NJ, I had no idea there was a huge sports bar teeming with Knicks fans, & featuring hi def television screens mounted literally in every direction, including up! Add to this an oversized menu with too many delicious sounding food & drink options to decide on ... Following tonight's Knicks record setting, series clinching blowout vs. the upstart Atlanta Hawks, MRH became my #1 "go to" destination to drink & stuff my face, while binge-ing on the evening's "must watch" College & Pro sports events. In other words.. You gotta' check this place out!

The reason I give it 3 stars is because I don't think they've ever gotten my food order 100% right. They make a tasty burger, but they always forget at least one requested topping on the burger. The menu says "lettuce, tomato, and onion on request" and even though I always request all three, I never get all three. If I ask for a different kind of cheese, I get American anyway. A lot of the time my receipt will have all of my requests on it, but the burger doesn't match. Also, they seem to have downgraded their onion rings. The old ones were awesome and were a major selling point for me as an onion ring enjoyer. The new onion rings remind me of Burger King. Overall solid spot with a nice Irish pub vibe. Waitresses are mostly cool and friendly.

It's got that cool gastro-pub feel where you can sip a cocktail at noon and no one judges you, in fact, they encourage it. Now let's talk about the real star of the show: the Breakfast Burrtios! We ordered them, and let me tell you, this wasn't some dainty little wrap. This was a full on, two hands required, no talking for five minutes situation. Packed with all the breakfast essentials and wrapped up like a gift to humanity, it was hearty, flavorful, and exactly what brunch dreams are made of. Every bite basically said, "You made the right decision today." The rest of the menu has all the brunch classics with a fun twist, and everything coming out of the kitchen looked like it deserved its own photoshoot. The drinks were flowing, the crowd was buzzing, and the whole place had that contagious weekend energy. If you're looking for a brunch spot in Belleville that delivers great food, good vibes, and a breakfast burrito that might require a post meal nap, The Whiskey Priest is your place. Just come hungry and maybe wear stretchy pants! Haha!

I had the Carne Asada Trio of tacos which was recommended by the server who was extremely friendly and patient despite it being busy. My boyfriend had the sweet potato fries and the buffalo wings. I did have one of the wings and unfortunately, it was a bit too salty for me. However, the tacos made up for the dissatisfaction in wings. Overall wasn't disappointed I would definitely come back and try other food options.

We walked in and sat at the near-empty bar and were soon greeted by the bartender (woman with long brown hair), who also provided us with menus. After a few minutes, she circled back, and we ordered two glasses of water. Just seconds after ordering the waters, we were asked for ID. Unfortunately, I left my ID in my jacket, which I didn't have with me at the time, so I explained this to the bartender. We were then told that we could not sit and eat without ID (which I have never heard of in any restaurant I've been to... EVER). I left without making a big deal of it since I was hungry from my drive. Stopped here again on Saturday, May 16th, around 9 PM to meet up with friends before leaving Bloomfield for the night. We were told we could sit where we liked and were quickly attended to by one of the servers upon entry. I ordered a water, and my friend ordered the Six Points Burger with fries. This time, we were not carded until we decided to order beer/drinks. Additionally, there was a child in there, no older than 12 years old, eating with a parent/caregiver on this evening- ultimately proving the whole 'you need an ID to eat here' thing false... What can I say about Six Points after these two experiences?... There's a lively crowd in the evening times, and food seems decent, and it's in a prime location on Bloomfield Ave... but it's quite evident that (at least) one of their bartenders is prejudiced and seems to have issues with people of color simply trying to sit and order food. *I called Six Points on May 18th and asked to speak with a manager regarding my experience. I left my number with one of the employees who answered, and he also told me I would receive a call back- sadly, that never happened. To clarify, the employee acknowledged that my experience on April 18 should not have occurred, as I should have been allowed to order food. Lesson learned: Just go to Egans or Just Jakes in Montclair instead of Six Points Pub.

But after I gave it another shot later, I realized they take online orders. The estimated time here does seem to be off though, as I showed up about 5 minutes before the ETA and it was already sitting around being less hot. So maybe estimate picking up even earlier than that. When I came, the place was packed, but it was a game night. The kitchen/pick up area is way in the back, but I will say, their hot pretzel is fantastic. The flavor itself is good and crunchy, but with the cheese sauce, it was truly delectable. It was just pure thick cheddary liquid goodness. It also came with a mustard if you're that sort, but just the combo of pretzel and cheese makes for such a good and quick snack. They also have a trivia night promotion, so I'm interested in checking that out, but for bar food (even to go) is pretty solid.

I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting much when I ordered the Manhattan on their menu. And while they use a maraschino cherry vs. a luxardo, which is typically a telltale sign of quality, it was a really good drink -- not overly sweet or sharply boozy. The food was also solid. They offer your regular bar food like wings, mozzarella sticks, and burgers, but also salads made with actual mixed greens and not just iceberg lettuce. Their fries were good, as well as the quesadilla, chicken fingers and steak salad (although crazy spicy so beware). The bartenders were so friendly, it must be a good place to work. I loved the retro atmosphere, and will be back to sit out on the patio next time!

It was pretty dead for a Thursday night, but I was not complaining as it meant. We got served faster! I loved all the Christmas decorations they had up and that they had space for a band. Unfortunately, we were not able to stay for the bands performance tonight. My dad ordered a chicken Parm dinner which he said he really enjoyed. I ordered a chipotle burger, but I'm not sure that's what I received. The burger I got had onions and what I think was American cheese. There was no chipotle taste to it. It was delicious nonetheless though so I would be interested to see you with the chipotle burger itself tasted like. I was also disappointed that they did not have the death seat burger. Apparently they only serve it once a month on Wednesdays and you have to look on Instagram for one that is. I shall go back for that one day.
