Dr. Sarkis has always been a kind and caring phyisician who treated me for a long time, before I moved. I wanted to acknowledge her caring for her patients. She makes her patients feel heard by providing them the time to speak. She does not try to corall them into a particular procedure. I generally would come away feeling better that she is on my team. Where do I begin. I should have read her reviews before coming in, but this was my boyfriends childhood doctor. My boyfriend and I had asked twice if they take Aetna insurance / considered in network. They said yes, twice & had no problem scanning my card and taking my co pay. She tried to prescribe me an anti-biotic that would negatively impact my embryo. She told me to google if it was ok for me to take...and then I got a $403.65 bill for 3 visits..... for OUT of network prices!! Even though they confirmed it was In network .... This office just wants to pocket your cash. I have Aetna / work in tech, I have some of the best insurance you can have (even though the front desk said Aetna is a scam... the irony) and obviously I would never go willing go to a place that is out of network .... Instead of being helpful, they told us that we need to meet a deductible, but that's only if we are out of network!!! Which they weren't understanding the concept. I don't even pay a cent outside of co pay for specialists why would I do that for a regular primary doctor who doesn't even know which medicine to give me while pregnant?! Dr Arbella Sarkis clearly takes advantage of her patients who are unemployed and previously suffering from serious illness by over billing them. Dr. Arbella Sarkis will act confused and then tell you it was a misunderstanding and it must be a billing issue of some sort so no charge! Dr. Arbella Sarkis after the act of confusion between her own doctor office and her own billing department, will send a notice to the credit bureaus as unpaid collection that you don't know about for a little over $100. Then when you finally get through to Christina Delgado at the Billing Department...wait for it.., it was a misunderstanding and the bill was already paid in full...in the meantime, I hope you don't mind your personal credit be ruined by a misunderstanding! Just to complete the picture, if you want a prescription refilled by Dr. Arbella Sarkis by having her call CVS,....that will be a $25.00 deductible credit card payment over the phone and yes a $96.93 bill (see attached) to get Dr. Arbella Sarkis just to pick up the phone to call CVS! $121.93 for a phone call to CVS....WOW! Then Dr. Arbella Sarkis will insult you by telling you how much time and money it's costing her by discussing your billing issue she created over the telephone with you and that she is losing money by just talking to you while adding to your financial stress to your life. I just went to see Dr.Arbella for swelling in my neck and lots of pain after being just discharged from the hospital. I went in to see what she can do for me and she denied to see me over $100 that I didn't have a card to pay with. I did have $50 cash and told the front receptionist to bill be the rest. She went and asked the doctor and I over heard her say no I can not see her if she doesn't pay. I didn't realize we live in a third world country where if you don't pay you get denied for healthcare. She is a wonderful doctor, very caring and an excellent physician. I had to stop seeing her because my medical coverage changed when I moved, but I have never had such good care since. Dr. Sarkis is perfectly fine and made me feel reasonably comfortable. My issue is with a man who also works there. I'm not sure if he is a nurse or another doctor because he wasn't dressed like the nurses. When I went in to get a prescription for an anxiety medication he spoke with me initially before Dr. Sarkis came to see me. He asked me why I wanted the prescription, and I briefly described my struggles with depression and anxiety. This creepy old man thinks it is appropriate to then tell me (22 y.o. woman) that I am "too attractive" to have those problems. I found this to be off-putting, offensive, and belittling in the extreme and I felt very upset. He remarked on my looks another time before we finished up and he left. How could any medical professional think that is an okay thing to say to a young woman seeking help? I also highly doubt he would have told a man my age he was "too handsome" to have mental health struggles. Left a bad taste in my mouth and I did not feel comfortable returning after my follow-up appointment. read more

Dr. Sarkis is our family doctor and she has been my doctor for almost 15yrs. She is an amazing doctor and goes above and beyond her normal duty. She has a wonderful relationship with her patients and know everyone by their first name. Her diagnosis are amazing and she is never wrong! Run away from this doctor! My husband and I were due for a physical to avoid our insurance to increase. There was no opening to any family practice before three months do Dr Sarkis was the only place where we could go. The visit went well and was taken in charge by our insurance. Once we did the blood test, instead of calling us if something goes wrong like all other doctors do, she asked my husband to come on a Monday at 9.amp. On D day not only she wasn't there but she had my husband to pay 40 dollars to discuss his results! My husband had to leave to go to work without any discussion about his results. Regarding mine, the doctor's office called me to schedule an appointment. I told them how angry I felt after they had my husband waiting and paying for nothing! So I was hoping to receive my results on my application but nothing showed up. After 3 days calling the office and asking why my results would not show up, I finally went there to have an explanation and to have them call the lab and see what went wrong. They finally were able to print them out but doctor Sarkis didn't even take a look at it. I have called today and ask for a call back to discuss my results but still haven't heard from her. My blood test was Sep 28 and we are Oct 9th! I am still waiting to know if everything is fine. My insurance confirmed that results can be given over the phone without having the patient coming for a $40 consultation. I call that a rip off read more

We left after following her from different offices. We didn't like the fact that we were always asked to do different tests even though we were healthy. The doctor has been expanding beyond the family practice to medical skin care and from time to time, she would 'sell' her other 'services'. It was also hard to get ahold of the doctor. read more

Dr. Sarkis does some cosmetic work such as filler, botox, etc. She does not have full knowledge and expertise. Just being nice is not enough, the quality of work matters. She put a high amount of filler under my eyes even though I said that could be risky. The puffiness never went down after months of and my face never looked the same. I have paid thousands of dollars just to look worse than before I went in. As a medical Dr. she does not look at the whole person, she just gives you medication and sends you home without discussing the diagnosis any further. I wish I read the yelp reviews before I came here! It is VERY true that you will wait up to 2 hours before your scheduled appointment. The fact that she spends a lot of time with her patients is a load of crap cause my appointments have never been longer than 20mins. Dr. Sarkis is a great doctor and extremely sweet but the way the office is run is horrible. Why even schedule an appointment if you cannot see me on time? But when you are a new patient they make you sign a form that states if you are late there is a fee for being late but it is completely acceptable that THEY are late? What kind of sense does that make? I requested medical records and when I had asked the front desk how to go about that they let me know that I had to write up a form. HOW UNPROFESSIONAL!! i have to write up my OWN form? They did not have one made explaining their terms for me to sign. Then when it came down to it the office manager made one on the spot and had me wait 10 minutes after I waited 2 hours for my appointment. Bottom line EXTREMELY unprofessional. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND HER TO ANYONE. But it looks like she already has a vast amount of loyal patients (most seem middle eastern) and I can respect that but do not waste your time unless you have entire days to waste on your appointments. read more

I made an appt with the receptionist for Dr. Sarkis and all i asked for was an ear cleaning. The receptionist told me that I would be taken care of & get my ears cleaned. I come to my appt & dr sarkis checks my ears & said my right looked worse than the left... and said that it didn't need any cleaning. i told her, that the only reason i made an appt was to get my ears cleaned & she kept telling me that was not going to help. She wrote me a prescription for sinus medicine & told me to "press on my sinuses and take deep breathes in a steamed room..." a couple weeks later, my ears STILL felt clogged. Dr. Sarkis is nice but her approach is not reliable. --------------------- EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. I received a bill for $218 for my ONE visit and before coming to this place, I called in advance to make sure my insurance covered the appt. The receptionist ran my info and assured me that I was "good to go".. which was a lie b/c they sent me this bill. DISHONEST AND SKETCHY, DO NOT COME. read more

I really feel sorry to leave this review. The doctor herself is a nice person but her staff are very rude. I have been visiting her for the past 3 years but I am really done! I waited 4 days that they send my medicine to my pharmacy. I did call them 2 times and left urgent messages with my name and phone number but nobody had even cared to take care of the issue. I left the pharmacy's name and complete address. When I called them the third time, the receptionist actually told me that she needs the pharmacy's phone #. Then she said "oh we don't have that one on file so you need to come and pick up the prescription". Two minutes later when I asked her to look up the closest pharmacy to my home's zip code, she actually said "Oh there is a Rite Aid" and the address is "..." ! OMG this is the same pharmacy that I have been asking for days to send my medication to!!! I asked if they even listen to their messages and she said with confidence "YES I am the one listening to the messages" and she was almost yelling at me!!!! She said we could not find the pharmacy! R U KIDDING ME? Couldn't they call me back even that I left my phone # and name for 2 times?!! I will never ever go back there and I am really disappointed with their service. Doctor Sarkis is one of the few doctors we have seen in the past 20+ years who actually knows what she is doing, is beyond dedicated to her work, and who has saved many lives. If it were not for her last minute emergency decisions and for all her time spent at the hospital after leaving her office each day, my grandma would not be alive. She has also treated myself for the past two years and I have never seen someone care as much as she does. So for all lf you who had to "wait," too bad! Who ever is sick usually gets seen first. Dr. Sarkis is a great and caring doctor. Great bed side manner. She enjoys getting to know her patients to help develop the patient-doctor relationship. It's hard to find doctors that will take the time to talk with you thoroughly about your options and answer any lingering questions you may have. I recommend this doctor to anyone that is frightful of seeing doctors. Just be patient with the wait time sometimes. I've been to the office 4 times now and time has always varied. I schedule after work so I have no problems. I've read some previous reviews .. You have realize the people at the front desk aren't just hers they are part of the other drs that also occupy the office. Race has nothing to do with being treated right. Talk to them like they are people. I have gotten to know several of her staff and they have made sure I felt comfortable and are always sorry that there is a wait. Some patients ask lots of questions to Dr. Sarkis and she wants to make there are no lingering questions. This is your health we're talking about. If time is of the essence for you I suggest schedule to be the last appt and make sure you have no where to be. I don't think the blood work she got for me was unnecessary I walked in told her what I was having problems with or what I was told in the past from previous Drs. She doesn't believe one should be taking so much medicine. She only prescribed what she thought I needed and suggested specialist the rest was up to me. She tries to help her patients because she knows how expensive most medicine can cost if she has samples to make sure you have no adverse effects to the meds before you go out and spend the money. I've paid lots in the past to meds that didn't work and ended up giving up on the treatment with money down the drain because the side effects were too severe to continue. I first met Dr.Sarkis at her location in the Occoner hospital campus. She's always been extremely friendly and makes sure I am taken care of. A nurse recently busted out a huge thick syringe for a flu shot and Dr personally took it away from this nurse and went to grab a more gentile needle. If a refferal to a specialist is needed, she'll handle it. I admit it does take a little calling and time to get the office staff to actually transmit specialist referrals, but it will happen. Her new location in Los Gatos is nice. There's a lot of good care around there like in the Samaritan campus and down the road on Los Gatos Blvd. I just had to have an X-ray done and she sent me to a place not 2 minutes away. Dr Arbella Sarkis first diagnosed my high blood pressure, rheumatoid arthritis And chronic asthma ...if it wasn't for her I probably wouldn't be alive today or I would be very sick with other problems. Unfortunately I was too much of a complicated/high risk patient for her to see Me as my primary care doctor, so I was referred out to a specialist and am being treated for those issues now. But if it wasn't for her initial screenings and testing on me I would be in worse shape. I am happy to say that I am now doing fine and I trust her 100% with her medical decisions. My only complaint would be that the front staff is kind of slow in doing things and kind of rude at times. But she's amazing and worth the wait to be seen. I am unsure where all these negative reviews came from, this woman helped me through some very difficult medical issues, was always there to help me by providing me discounts for prescriptions, because she knew I was financially struggling. I have been going to her for three years, and my mother goes to her as well. If you want a doctor who will sit down and have a conversation with you, in depth, while showing great love and compassion, then this should be your future doctor. However, if you just want to get in, get out, with no real knowledge of your condition gained... Then go to someone else. Or even yet go to kaiser where you see a different doctor every time, and they talk with you for five minutes then hand you a pamphlet of your condition. Enough said. Outstanding doctor and woman. Dr. Sarkis' office wasn't a match for me and I wanted it to work. I saw her twice: February and June 2018. Both times, I had an appointment and waited more than an hour and 15 minutes to see the doctor. On the 2nd visit, I had a headache for 3-weeks and suspected a sinus infection. She suggested I take prescription ibuprofen and OTC cold meds. If that didn't work, the next step was an xray/MRI. Wanting a 2nd opinion, I went to urgent care 2-weeks later. After a 15-minute wait with no appointment, I was given an antibiotic for the sinus infection and the headache went away a few days later. Did you know that urgent care can be your primary care physician? It took 10-days to get Dr. Sarkis to okay releasing my medical records to my new primary. And, it appears I owe her $120 for doctor visits, which is odd since I made 2 visits with a $20 copay. Sigh. read more

Dr. Sarkis is a friendly and caring doctor and whenever I saw her, I feel like she's like one of my family members who genuinely cares about my well being. Unfortunately, and this is really a shame, her receptionist is extremely unprofessional, rude, and not understanding at all. People see doctors when they are ill. Nobody goes to the doctors willingly feeling perfectly fine and dandy. However, the receptionist does not seem to care how ill you feel, she will treat you with her diva attitude. No smiles, no greeting, and often with her back turned to you without an ounce of care how long you've been standing there. I needed a doctor's notes for work because I was sick and couldn't go in, so I called Dr. Sarkis's office requesting a note at 9 a.m. in the morning. I said I'll be by later that day to pick it up. I even let them know that I'll stop by after their lunch time, which is from 1 pm - 2 pm. When I arrived at 3 pm to pick up the note, I learned that the note had not been signed AT ALL. I was told to sit down and wait till the doctor's done with her current patient. 15 minutes elapsed. I was sick with high fever, I wanted to grab the note and go home to sleep, so I went up to her again and said could she please check with the doctor once again? And she impatiently said the doctor's with someone and told me to wait. I said but I called in this morning to let you know that I will be picking up the note this afternoon, the doctor didn't have TWO SECONDS in her entire day to sign the note? Before I could finish the sentence, she rudely interrupted me and said "nope!" After that I waited another 15 minutes and FINALLY the note was signed. Honestly, I don't feel like as a patient I had been treated with respect, so with that, I didn't feel the need to respect her either. If she wanted me to reciprocate politely, she should have treated the patients with common decency, especially as someone that works for a doctor - there's no "gentle touch" here. Additionally, even if you booked your appointment months in advance, your expect wait time is still more than an hour. I've waited 2 hours before for my appointment... and that's with a SET APPOINTMENT! Dr. Sarkis is so nice and sweet, but sadly, her office staff have been nothing but rude and I will not return. read more

I made an appointment a month in advance. When I arrived at the office on time, I had to wait 2 hours. I asked whether today was special. The person in charge of scheduling told me that there is always a long wait "because the doctor spends a lot of time with her patients." "That's great," I said, "But your scheduling is not working." I've been a patient of Dr Sarkis for years and sadly I will not be returning to her office after my last visit. Since her office move, her front office staff is completely unprofessional and rude, she is constantly running behind (at a minimum of 1 hour), rushes through the appointments, doesn't listen to your symptoms, prescribes unnecessary medication and treatments and most recently sent me to the wrong lab to get blood work and blamed it on ME! I have been with Dr Sarkis for a long time. She is a nice, genuine, older grandma type of physician. However, I decided to get a new family doctor for our family because I have enough of the office and operation styles and management. Every time we go in, we need to wait at least 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours in order to see her for about 5 to 7 minutes. For me, it's just getting harder as the new office is so crowded and I have a little one. What is worst is that the nurses keep losing our lab work results and the billing manager keeps miscoding and therefore we have ended up spending a lot of time on calling the office and insurance company. Also, I don't know why for the past 2 years, Dr Sarkis ordered our family to do a lot of unnecessary and uncovered tests that we did not ask for such as allergy tests, motion sickness tests, vitamin D tests, etc. There are times that we are told to repeat the tests which are totally out of pocket. Its sad that I am seeing the quality of her services is going downhill and lots of her loyal patients are leaving her. read more

Absolutely do not get your lady bits looked at here, polar opposite of gentle and I felt violated as well, I felt like I needed to scrub myself in the shower for an hour! No matter how early you arrive you will wait 2+ hours to to be seen for 15 minutes unless you are the same race she is (no joke!!!) she throws out meds and blood tests you dont need and doesnt do thorough examinations. Why do I do this to myself? I need to change doctors sooner rather than later. Waiting 2 hours to get in and see a doctor is beyond unacceptable!! Yes, Dr. Sarkis is sweet, and knows her stuff, but its not worth the wait. Patients in the packed waiting room are sick, and pissed they have been waiting for over an hour which equals not fun. I swear special treatment is given to certain ppl too. At least update the office with better magazines and maybe a flat screen or two. For ex: I asked how I could get rid of my dark circles and she got a book and showed me all the vitamins and foods I should eat versus using fillers.
