I recently visited Dr. Ramos for my annual physical (wellness visit), and while the appointment itself went fine, there were a couple of disappointing aspects. First, she was nearly 45 minutes late to my scheduled appointment, which was frustrating and unexpected. Second, I was surprised to receive an additional $388 charge labeled as a separate office visit (CPT 99214). During the wellness exam, Dr. Ramos casually asked if I had any other questions, and I briefly mentioned some minor ear itching and asked about continuing vitamin D3--a supplement she had previously recommended based on past labs. At no point was it made clear that these very brief and routine follow-up questions would be considered a separate, high-level billing item outside of the preventive care visit. I reached out to her office for clarification, as advised by the Sutter Health billing department, but unfortunately did not receive a resolution. My advice to others is this: during your preventive care visit, when the doctor greets you or casually asks "how are you?"--do not respond with anything health-related unless you are prepared to be charged for a non-preventive discussion. Even the most minor comment might result in an unexpected and costly bill. I hope the practice improves transparency around billing so patients can make informed decisions in real time and avoid surprises. read more

I took a test that she asked me to do a week before a refill was needed for anxiety medication. She didn't look at the test result until I was about to go out of town, said it was too diluted and then demanded it needed to be redone within six days -- when I'd be out of town -- or she'd cut off future access to my medication. Her office staff claimed I signed a document that said I had to be seen again before my prescription would be refilled, when in fact that document didn't specify that information -- only a note from a doctor buried in my file did. I had to squeeze in a video visit with another doctor in her office just to get my prescription so I'd have it for my trip, and she's still threatening me through her office staff about my future medication refills when SHE didn't do her job and look at the test result that was available all week until almost 5 p.m. on Thursday. Irresponsible at best, negligent at worst. read more

Dr. Ramos Silva is fantastic. She is extremely knowledgeable and super easy to talk to. She always makes me feel comfortable, regardless of what we are discussing. She is very supportive with my efforts to improve my own health and suggests options I should consider without being pushy or judgmental. One of the best "Bed Side Manners" of all the doctors I have ever dealt with and would highly recommend her if she is taking on new patients. read more

Came here once for back pain, saw Dr. Ivette I believe. She didn't do anything other than tell me to stretch more. My insurance paid for the dr visit and they apparently lost the check. They kept charging me sending me bills on the mail. We kept calling to let them know it was paid and sending them the proof and still to this day they keep sending me bills and now sending me a collection agency. Horrible experience . Amazing doctor. I absolutely love her. She listens and explains things really well. Most doctor visits I have had in the past at other facilities was an hour wait time then the doctor would spend about 5 -10 minutes talking to me whereas she really took her time to understand my concerns. She is definitely someone who is passionate about her job and helping people versus trying to get patients out as soon as possible. I'm so happy I found her. read more

She took the time to review my past, discuss my current concerns and offer suggestions for a health plan. She is a wonderful, caring doctor, and is the primary care for both myself and my husband. My husband was very ill last year, and while hospitalized she came up with a theory on one of his dibilitating symptoms. And the solution worked. She worked very well with all his specialist care team to make sure that his care was coordinated, and has followed his progress since release. If I could give her ten stars, I would. read more

If I could give NEGATIVE stars, I would. This is a doctor that does NOT listen to you EVER. She prescribes medications and dosages based on her comfort level, not what you have been previously receiving over years and years from Specialists in their field (even with those past medical records as reference). Her reasoning is: "I do not feel comfortable with that." Or she changes dosages in the middle of refill cycles because again, she "does not feel comfortable with that." You receive calls from other specialists to set up appointments based on her referral that she did not discuss with her. But she lets you know or gives "comfort level" responses within the Portal, which is after the fact. The only way you know that those dosages have changed is when you pick them up at the pharmacy or you receive them via mail order (which is too late). If you are super clear within an office visit that you want to use Mail Order for recurring prescriptions, she still does NOT follow your request. If you remind her and her staff of that, they sill do NOT correct their error. The cost savings using mail order is significant and it is like she DOESN'T CARE. But if you go into the office, she is just so much "more understanding," and then changes her mind when sending in prescriptions to the pharmacy. If you question her in the Portal and express concerns that you are not comfortable with her and her decisions that she makes outside of the office, she sends a FedEx overnight letter firing you as a patient (which is after you have already established with another physician). Such an inconsiderate, unprofessional, inexperienced physician whom decides patient care without considering the patient and their past experiences. I CANNOT recommend her at all, which is sad because I want to raise up female practitioners. read more
