There are no words for how happy we are! After the estimate we received a detailed proposal with photographs of certain cuts. Today six men arrived on time and did a masterful job! and, cleaned up everything beautifully. The owner and his son are certified arborists and definitely know what they are doing. When I first moved into my house I had a huge camphor tree smashing into the roof. I went with this company because they showed up on time and were by far the most professional team of the businesses I called. They did such a good job making the tree look natural with the house without invading it. The team was efficient and cleaned up after themselves so it looked like they were never there. They impressed me so much I have called them back multiple times. They have done small timings for us and even massive jobs with some real serious equipment. They've done my parents home and their office location. The owner is an actual expert and great with communication. In the last hurricane the owner picked up immediately and had a crew on the way. I highly recommend Arbor Bay Tree Service. They were able to quickly obtain permits and cut down a nuisance tree and trim back a very large tree that threatened my house. Needed 2 trees removed and stump grinding. I had 6 tree companies give me estimates. Pricing is middle ground for Arbor Bay. But cheapest isn't necessarily the best. The price was excellent for the work done. I chose them for this reason as well as their reputation. The team was professional, efficient, and dressed in the same bright orange shirts. Uniforms are a nice touch since most companies let their employees dress in whatever these days. All of their equipment was labeled and in proper working order. My only suggestion is a little more communication. I would have liked calls from the office providing me with updates (the city of Tampa took their sweet time issuing my permit). I kept having to call them. Another plus is they offer Veteran's discount. It is nice to be recognized for serving in the military. I will definitely use Arbor Bay for my future needs. read more

I received a city violation after using another company that took advantage of my naïveté. I found Arbor Bay on a whim. THANK GOD for that! Susan in the office is so sweet! Kacy came out ASAP and guided me through the process with the violation and recommended what needed to be done. He was easy to get ahold of and always available. The process was smooth. Got an estimate, date for the project and it was all taken care of. The guys were professional, quick and did a fantastic job. I can tell you FIRST HAND that there are other companies that are not trustworthy! I would NEVER use another company other than Arbor Bay. read more

Nice guys. Arborist was wonderful. Day of they came and did great on the trees but the guy driving the bobcat destroyed my yard. They left and there were tree roots sticking up out of the ground that he dug up with the bobcat. I effectively have a diet pit in my backyard where all the grass was dug up. It is over 70 x 40 feet wide and rough. I contacted the company multiple times and was told the owner would call three separate times he did not. Tree work great, but destruction was also great. My suggestion go with a different company who takes responsibility for what a mess they have made and definitely do not believe there line of there will be a few ruts...more like you will need a truckload of dirt and someone to come smooth and seed your yard. read more

I called for an estimate and Kacey was there the same day. He promised to send the estimate within a day or two. After 4 days I called and was told I would have it the next day. Three days later I called again. Again "Oh, you'll have it tomorrow." It's tomorrow and still nothing. If timeliness and reliability is important, I would recommend looking elsewhere. read more

I would definitely recommend these guys and will be using them again in the future. Their prices were very competetive AND they have the proper insurance - most low-bidders don't carry workmans comp and/or liabiltiy insurance. They were prompt, professional and personable. read more

Arbor Bay did a great job with our tree trimming. We had overgrowth with our Birds of Paradise and trimming required above our house and pool. I'm not sure what happened here but we were repeat customers because they DID provide exceptional service at a decent price. I called early October Casey came out and gave me an estimate via email. I signed the estimate excepting the quote and emailed it back. I was told I would be put on the schedule for the following week. I never heard from them so I called them back they told me they would arrive that Friday , Friday came and went but they were a no show and no call. So I called again I was told oh we're so sorry you're definitely on the schedule for this week. We will put you on the priority list (i'm sorry but I think all customers-should be a priority )we will be there on Friday , again Friday came and went they were no-shoe no call. I don't give any more chances than that. read more

My experience with Arbor Bay has been horrible. I only wish I could give a rating lower than one star. Without permission, the company cut a major limb from my live oak tree. The city of Tampa stated a notice of violation would be issued, and that the owner of the property over which the limb extended would need to hire another arborist to manage future sprouting. Unfortunately, the tree was damaged and large limbs do not grow back. read more

I absolutely cannot be more pleased with the work that arbor bay did with our trees. We had a grand old oak that was decayed and had to be removed. A huge job, which they did a fabulous job on. They also trimmed 4 additional oaks and again did a wonderful job. All in 2 days and they cleaned up well. reasonably priced and very professional. They did a good job with us. They were there when they said they'd be there, and were easy to schedule with. No complaints at all!

I was happy with the job they did on my trees. They trimmed up a large oak in the front yard and a small camphor in the back. They cleaned up all the mess and left the yard looking undisturbed. They are NOT good with scheduling however. I signed the contract at the end of August and requested they not come until after Labor Day. I did not hear from them until I called at the end of September, when they told me they would be there the next week. I am fine with that because my trimming was not an emergency, but I called ahead of time again to verify the day since I was taking off work and even though they said they would be there they did not show up or call me. I had to call them. When I was told they would not be there that day I asked them to come the afternoon the next day so I could just leave work a bit early to check the job and pay them, but instead they got there early. So again, I had to leave work and go there to meet them. That was annoying, but I can live with it. When my tree needs trimming again, I will call them. read more
