The assistant is constantly talking about every facet of their life while you're getting your teeth worked on. That wouldn't be such a big deal if they were paying attention to things like not jabbing their instrument super hard into your gums, adjusting the seat for people of varying heights, hard clanking instruments off your teeth... So little focus to the procedure, instead nearly constantly venting about their personal life. I don't mind talking but you can feel how little attention they are paying to what's in front of them. Outside of the the procedure, the staff is nice. Dentists there are good though they are in a massive hurry nearly constantly. Very little communication from the dentist to the patient but they do a fine job on your actual teeth. Overall a pretty janky experience but they will get the job done. read more

A dentist here chipped a corner of my tooth with a drill. When I called them about it I was told the tools they used could not physically do that and it must have been tarter. This is not true at all, it was literally my tooth, they were just trying to avoid a lawsuit! read more

This dental cord used by a dental assistant prior to my procedure to retain my gums back was shoved farther than necessary into my gums and left for me to endure unnecessary, constant pain for months and months. Ultimately, this negligence is causing loose teeth and dental work to fail. read more

Called in to be a first time patient. Got scheduled for an appointment, which I had no idea what type of appointment, I was not informed. All I wanted was a cleaning, so when I decided to call and ask what type of appointment it was, I was left on hold for 35 minutes, then the line hung up on me. I get a call a couple days later, I miss it, voicemail says to call them. I call them the next day, get put straight to voicemail, leave a message saying idk why I was called. I then get called 10 minutes before my appointment, saying they are returning my call, but idk what they called me for in the first place, and its 10 min before my appointment so clearly they can't change the appointment to the appointment type I wanted anyway. Get into the office, turns out I am only there for a check up. If I had known that, I would have asked to make the appointment a cleaning like I had wanted, but I wasn't informed the appointment was only a check up. And when I did call to sort it out, hardly any effort is put in to contact me, and now its too late to do anything about it. I get x-rays, and he looks in my mouth for 5 minutes and says "yeah you could use a cleaning, but your teeth are good otherwise!" he leaves and the front office says their earliest appointment slot is 5 months out. How ridiculous. They clearly just want you in and out to rake in insurance money for 5 mins of work. They do not value your time, as they are clearly fine with wasting it. read more

Got my first exam done here today and it was an all around great experience. All the staff are so friendly and communicate very well with you. There was hardly any wait time at all. I was in and out of there in 45 minutes. Pretty nice view from the office as well. read more

Arbor Dental - Dentists Near Me - Longview, Washington

This place is the worst dental office in Longview! I used to work in a dental office, and I can tell you that this one is very strange. My spouse was a patient there and they did a filling, but didn't get all of the decay out the first time. When he went back for a cleaning, they then told him that they had to redo the filling because there's more decay in his tooth. For all of his past appointments, I was allowed to go back with him as he has extreme anxiety about dentists. This time, they decided to tell us that it's their office policy that they don't allow anybody back in the room except the patient because of HIPPA. They obviously didn't know that I was well versed with HIPPA. When I explained that this has absolutely nothing to do with HIPPA, the office manager got major attitude with me and came clean about it just being their new "office policy". I'm sort of wondering what they're trying to hide by not letting people back. I've worked in several dental offices and been a patient to several and was never told that they don't allow spouses to come back. I'm guessing their dentists are inept and definitely get the feeling they're hiding something. We left and have found a new dentist. I wouldn't advise that anyone be seen at Arbor Dental with their RUDE staff! read more

The usual secretary is wonderful and kind. Unfortunately, the fill-in secretary is the polar opposite. She is rude, snappy, and has a real knack for talking to you like you are stupid. Every time I've had the displeasure of speaking to this woman, I have been taken aback by how nasty she is. during the interaction that prompted this review, I went in to try to have my records sent to a different dentist for an emergency appointment, and was told "She doesn't do record requests", and additionally they need 72 hours notice to send records. If it wasn't an EMERGENCY appointment, I could deal with the 72 hour notice. I find it pretty ridiculous that they don't have a procedure in place for a situation like this. Now I am forced to pay to get new x-rays done. I will never patronize Arbor Dental again, purely based upon the fact that I don't want to have to interact with her again. It's a shame because my dentist there is great, and the usual secretary is lovely. read more

Horrible. This place needs to be shut down . Sat in the chair waited like an hour for the dentist. Missed my next appointment because of Covid . Rescheduled then they canceled due to lack of dentist ‍ . I called to reschedule several times leaving messages. No call back 2 weeks later ! Pretty sure they are scamming insurance! read more

The owner/dentist of this practice was horrible. Very impatient and has no compassion at all for patients with anxiety. I went in to have my wisdom teeth removed, he numbed my whole entire mouth and once he started the procedure I must have flinched or made a noise and he put down his tools and walked out, telling the assistant to schedule me somewhere else to be sedated. Knowing I had anxiety and I had just gone through all that to have my mouth numbed for nothing!! He didn't even give me chance. I left there bawling my eyes out and a whole face and mouth numbed. Once the numbness wore off I started to feel the pain of were he stabbed me in the gums and then quit. I do not recommend this dentist. He has absolutely no patience and does not care for his patients feelings or well being. (Only giving one star to submit this review) read more

Well first off, I had two teeth extracted today. The dentist had NO bedside manner at all. They didnt bother numbing up with the cotton swab and topical before hand, then just stuffed the needle into my jaw. When I jerked from the pain I was told "YOU NEED TO STAY STILL" in a very stern voice. That did not feel plesent at all, and not even a sorry for causing un needed pain. Then he did not even bother checking if I was numb and told me "I am gonna start applying pressure". Granted I was numb by that point thankfully. When I asked if I could keep the extracted teeth because of personel reasons he told me "you cant keep them by federal law". Well, I looked up federal and CDC laws right there and they both state that the patient is able to keep them if requested. They still denied me them. I am very upset and WILL never return to that place and will try and make sure nobody else does. read more

I had my initial appointment with Arbor Dental. They took my x-rays and assessed my needs. We scheduled my next three appointments and off I went. Then they called to reschedule my next appointment because "dentist wasn't in." When I showed up, the receptionist told me my appointment was cancelled because the dentist "wasn't in" again (only 3 weeks later) and they called the wrong number to leave the message. (Irritating, but okay.) Then she tells me that she doesn't know if I'll get to see the dentist at all because they don't know what's happening with my insurance. Instead of calling to ask me if I would be willing to pay for my visit in the event that insurance dropped the ball, they just told me the dentist wasn't in. Well, now I've purchased a different insurance plan; I'm taking my money to another dentist. And when I called to cancel my other appointments with Arbor, she said, "Perfect!" instead of wanting to know why I was cancelling. See ya never! read more

Don't over pay, you WON'T get your money back and you WILL be ignored! Short version is I was with them for 8 years. No issues. The past year things have gone downhill. I recently over paid. Upon discovering this, I called, left a message and asked for someone to call me back. We discussed options. They wanted to keep the credit on my account. I requested my money back. 6 weeks went by and no credit, no check. I called again and left a message. I asked that someone call me back and let me know what was going on. I waited two full business days, no call. I called and left another message. I was clear that I would really appreciate someone calling me back. I waited two more full business days. I walked into the Vancouver office. The lady at the front desk recognized me and immediately began giving excuses as to why I had not been called back and why I had not received my money. I made it clear that all I wanted was to be communicated with. They offered to write me a check on the spot but I didn't have time to wait. I asked them to write the check and mail it. 8 days went by with no check yet. I also called the owner, Steven Marandas, and left messages for him to call me back. I waited several days with no phone call. I called again and the woman at the front desk told me they are giving him the messages. I told her that I would really appreciate a call back. She said, well I know he mailed you a check. We will see if he actually did but I still haven't received a phone call from anyone.... extremely poor customer service and not a way to treat someone whom has patronized your business for over 7 years. I am done with all Arbor Dental's and recommend you don't start doing business with them.... their M.O. is going downhill fast! read more
