Found a place I trust to do the procedure right and at a reasonable price. I don't think I could find a better dentist.

Don't go here if you need any significant work done. They are more interested in taking your money than doing good work that looks good only what they can get away with. My dentist thinks I'm a Mushroom keeping me in the dark and feeding me poop, which is sad no integrity! I'm done with them I've been trying to get my bridge work done for a long., long timeI guess I'm forced to go elsewhere. The bridge that was installed looks horrible If you have this kind of work done implants and bridge install pay close attention I am not happy and refuse to go on with smiles dental under my circumstances. Please don't go to them. They are horrible, I paid for a bridge out of pocket which was over $3000 and it broke apart in little over a year. Smiles dental will scam every dollar they can out of you. DO NOT GET ANYTHING DONE HERE! They push crowns and root canals when you don't them. They have zero experience in cosmetic dentistry. This place is the McDonald's of dentistry. They are out to line their pockets and ruin your teeth. Stay away and always get a second opinion! they leave cavities in your mouth and watch them grow until you "require" a crown so they can get more $. 2 crown from them failed due to their negligence. had to get a crown extracted. didn't use any numbing gel. cloth stitches. also did a blood plasma and charged me for it. it wasn't needed. barbaric af!! did i step back into the 1920's?? make sure and ask them if you have cavities and show you the xrays. i wish id have gotten a second opinion i was with them four years and now have to get laser surgery on my gums to fix the problems they caused. read more

Went in for some preventative maintenance on a tooth I felt needed some attention, but had no pain or sensitivity at the time. Was told I needed a crown, proceeded with the advisement. Nothing but pain and the inability to use my right rear molar after the work was done. Went to the follow up today, and was advised by a different doctor that the crown that he thought was old and obviously thought somebody else did it other than their practice, I was told that the crown was not put on properly, there is a gap between my gum-line, and a nerve is exposed. When I advised him that the work was performed at their clinic five weeks previous has reply was I probably needed a root canal anyhow. After going to my regular dentist with tooth pain, I was told I had a cavity in a spot that had previously been filled. The dentist wasn't sure he could successfully fill the cavity again & recommended a root canal & crown. In addition I would need new partials to accommodate the crown. We had vacation plans, so we're working on limited time. They said they wouldn't be able to do anything with the tooth until we got back, (about 7 weeks later) so I would be going on vacation with a very sore tooth! But they would call me before we left & get me set up for the work when we returned & said to call them if it got really bad. Well, it got really bad. So I called them. First call I talked to the receptionist, she said she talked to the doctor & he said the only option was a root canal, Tylenol would be my friend & call them again if it got worse. Two days later, it was excruciating! I called again & asked to speak with the office manager (she is the person who goes over all options with you), I was told she was out of the office, but would call back. The next day, I called again, this time she was in a consultation & would call me back. 4 hours later, I made one more call, same story! I waited 2 more days then decided to call around & see if someone else could help me. I found Smiles Dental through Google search & gave them a call. Explained the situation & they were able to get me into the office within a few days. I was completely shocked when the dentist told me I did not need a root canal, they could just crown the tooth. I also would not need new partials to accommodate the crown. I was definitely happy to hear that! They also would be able to get all the work done & the crown in place before we leave for vacation! It was less then 2 weeks between my first visit & the crown placement! My regular dentist couldn't even return a phone call in that amount of time, I'm still waiting on that call by the way! Not to mention, I was given the option to either try to fill the tooth, about $500, or root canal & crown, about $10,000. When I chose to try to fill it, I feel like they were upset & really tried to push me into the root canal/crown option. Everybody at Smiles Dental was so friendly & professional. I felt like they cared about my issue. They also worked so hard to get my tooth taken care of before we went on vacation. My regular dentist was more then willing to let me go & be in pain. So, moving forward, we will be going to Smiles Dental for all of our dental needs. We really appreciate everything they've done to this point! read more

Has been my dentist for 3 years. Complete mistake to allow them to touch my mouth. I'm 3 weeks from what was supposed to be fillings for 2 'small cavities' and removing a silver filling. AFTER I expressed how much pain I was in they then told me my cavities were not small and I may need a root canal and claimed they warned me of this - which they did not. I have a lot of dental experience and unfortunately did not ask enough or the right questions. Drilling was over 2 hours, believe I had a heavy handed dentist- a traveling dentist which I never met before the moment he began working on my teeth. My family of 5 will have a new dentist after this. read more

Went to smiles because I broke a tooth. Dentist said the crown was pretty straight forward and I shouldn't need a root canal. Went to my second appt and received my temporary crown. He didn't communicate what to look for or to contact smiles if any certain thing happened. I went back for my third appt to get my permanent crown and they told me that now I need a root canal and they will have to send me to an endontist and have a CT. A dentist doesn't do root canals?!!! Is this a scam for them to make more money or are they getting kickbacks for referrals? I will now have to miss a total of 5 days of work for something that should have been so easy. read more

Some months ago, my daughter went to smiles dental in longview. When i started having some issues, i thought i would give them a try. Im glad i did. I found the facilities and the staff there to be top notch. My only wish is that dentist offices in general would be able to use warmer water in their procedures. I called this morning early 8:30 AM, and told them that my crown came off my tooth. They gave me a 3 o'clock appointment. I went in filled out my paperwork. Of my insurance was already used up for the year. And they were able to take care of my problem recement my crown. And for a surprisingly low cost. They were very understanding of my situation with my tooth and insurance. They were more than reasonably priced. Everyone was friendly from the first phone call this morning to reception the dental assistant and the doctor. I will definitely come back here again. read more

It's just terrible here. I had a root canal done a while back where the dentist broke off a piece of file in my tooth so had to stop the procedure and refer me to a specialist. The 'specialist' caused me so much pain I just gave up on it and now have a permanent piece of medal in my mouth for good. All this week I've been dealing with pain due to a wisdom tooth and no matter how hard I tried to get in touch with someone, nothing could be done. I even spoke with the dentist and he said he'd call me in a prescription yet nothing was done. Today I finally get the tooth pulled and explain the high discomfort I've had following my other wisdom tooth extractions and ask if it's possible to get something for the after pain. Nope. The dentist went on to treat me like I'm a drug addict seeking opiates and explained why I wouldn't need them. I'm really beginning to think they enjoy seeing their patients in pain as it keeps them coming back? I'm not sure of their philosophy. Now as the acute pain and soreness sets in and I prepare to get ready for work, I ask myself why the heck didn't I just get a new dentist??? read more

Love, love, love Smiles! I wouldn't go anywhere else! Dr. Dixson is great and has a good sense of humor. Makes the visit go by fast. The hygienist Brenda is awesome. Front desk gals are so sweet and chipper! When I'm having a bad day I wish I could go to the office to hear them be spunky!
