Cancel my yearly Aspen Dental Savings Plan in 2025. A year passes. Charged again in 2026. Send email. Office Manager says I have no Aspen Dental Savings Plan subscription and I have been refunded. A month goes by, I check my Aspen account online. Not only have I not been refunded, I still have an active subscription somehow and there is a recurring payment on my credit card that they refuse to remove. I have delt with Aspen Dental in Longview for years now and have consistently been pleased with the office crew and particularly with Dr. Nguyen on every visit (cleaning and dental work needed). Dr. Guyugen and his staff have always been open to questions and explaining what is being done. They have always explained the costs including insurance and or reduced club program benefits. read more

If I could give this place a negative rating rather than one star I would. I went in for their Moto plastic braces. They said it would only take 4 months to correct the teeth that were slightly crooked. 17 MONTHS later, I had enough! They tried to blame me for them not working, they made three corrections in the braces and ultimately after going to another Aspen Dental in Hillsboro (where the owner works) I decided to throw them away and seek another dentist's office in Vancouver. Aspen Dental made my teeth MORE crooked and misaligned my bite!!!!!!! I have never been to a dentist that was that aggressive in trying to blame the patient, actually I've never heard of a dentist blaming a patient! I drove 2 hours one way for this appointment, (I live rural) I was told on the phone, call center apparently, the the exam and X-rays were free (beware)! And the cleaning would be $189.00 Sounds good! I book the appointment 80 miles away(closest one). Office staff was pleasant enough, but....not One of them introduced themselves to me, the exam was fairly thorough. There was a plan in place to clean my teeth and fix one cracked tooth first....then I got to the last person you see which is the finance person, her I was introduced to, Shannon. You could tell this poor girl hates her job, when she handed me an estimated bill for a cleaning and fix one tooth.....you all ready for this? $1800. WTF? I was lied to on the phone. Stay away, we were told the exam and x-rays were pro- bono . We had 1 appointment after reviewing what was recommended we said no thank you to the outlandish prices quoted too us. Ask what we owed for the day and we were told nothing only to receive a bill 1 week later. They did reverse the charges; except for the $ 100.00 deductable for my wife and my self. I would stay away from places like this. By the way there quote was in the thousands of dollars . The only nice person in the office was the receptionist, all others, Dentist, Dental Assistant, really need to take classes in customer service. My mom had to have a big extraction of her remaining teeth and had to be fitted semi-emergently for full mouth dentures. I have been so impressed with the care, professionalism and responsiveness of this team to her individual needs. She suffers from dementia, is hard of hearing and is a non-native English speaker. With her mouth remaining in a state of change and flux, this practice has responded with great care to adapting her dentures as needed to ensure as little discomfort as possible. This dentist is not good. They threaten me twice and I could not pay a bill. They would not work with me on payments. They sent the bill to collections agency. They called the cops on me. They would not take my payment. They lie to people and don't treat people with respect. I would not recommend this dentist. This dentist will charge you and not tell you. These folks diagnosed my molar with a huge cavity. I waited a few weeks until the pain was excruciating. I suffered through the weekend and called at 7:00 am Monday morning for the earliest appointment possible. The girl was sorry to inform me I would have to wait until Friday. I guarantee, I am more sorry than her. They advertise emergency appointments, but you have to wait a full five days. read more

I was happy with the staff and cleanliness of the entire office. They made me feel comfortable and all were very professional. I must give two stars because after having a cavity filled, I was told, by my Aspen dentist, it's possible that I may need a root canal done on the tooth he just repaired (Ok, why not just do it, then). So, a year later, I went to another dentist and they actually had to replace the filling and told me the current filling was not done properly and I definitely did not need a root canal. That tooth now feels great and no longer sensitive. I'm not happy that I had to pay for the same tooth, twice, thanks to Aspen. I'm sure it's not always like this, but this is my experience. First, I haven't yet had much work done. I had my first appointment and was very impressed with all the staff, from the telephone appointment to the reception to Kelsey, Melanie, and the doctor. They were all very professional, quick at their jobs, and committed to great hygiene practices. I had the first comprehensive visit and was told what I needed and what the prices were. That first visit really was free. I needed a tooth replaced in a denture and it was only $79 for that and took about an hour (much less time than my previous denturist had needed). I had a crown put on over a broken tooth. Cost was $1000 after a deduction of about $400 because of my Healthy Smile discount membership. I don't know how this compares except that Kaiser told me $1000 too. Service was professional from receptionist to assistant to doctors. Only bad taste was quote from office manager which was inflated to $1400 to include cleaning, which I declined. Upon departure I asked receptionist what was their cost for cleaning and was quoted $100. Doctors seemed skilful but I had some difficulty understanding their Asian accents. read more

I am now a patient at Aspen Dental. The service and professionalism is terrific. I have had major dental work done and though it was and is painful for now I am being helped quickly and efficiently. I was even rude once due to discomfort and was treated with respect. Shout out to Dr. Bara (sp) and Jasmine who have been constants in my care and made me feel comfortable. Aspen dental is very deceitful. I made a appointment because I had a broken tooth and was in pain. I let them know that I had state insurance coverage. They told me to come in the same day. I was happy that they would see me in such short notice. I got there filled out all the paper presented my insurance card. They told me to have a seat and someone would assist me. After 1hr. They called me back to one of the room after that took 3 more hours of waiting and examination. Told me what I needed done with all my teeth including the one I intially came in there for. Sent me out to the waiting area for another 30 minutes to wait to consult with someone, just to tell me sorry that they don't accept state insurance. I was so upset! Come to find out my state insurance will pay for a one time examination but no treatment. Aspen dental sent me on my way the same way I came, in pain! It sad that they will lie just to get paid one time from the state and have no consideration for the time that I spent there in pain when I could of explored my options with a different company! I'm Very disappointed in there procedure and there customer service. If you have state insurance please don't waist your time. read more

The dentists here are inept and more interested in getting all the money they possibly can from you even at the expense of your health and safety. My husband and I have both had separate, horrible experiences with them. He saw them once and refused to go back. The dentist at the time (Dr. Lee) took xrays and diagnosed him as needing a root canal. They don't perform that procedure there so they sent my husband to a REAL dentist who informed my husband that Dr. Lee wanted the root canal performed on a tooth that was perfectly fine. True story. My experience is equally bad. I've been trying for over a week to schedule a routine cleaning. I called them. They sent no reminder. They didn't call me. "I" called them. They informed me that since Dr. Lee was no longer there, my new dentist (Dr. L. Brar) needed me to take new xrays. I had just had xrays within 2 years, I was having NO teeth issues.... and I have had cancer on my upper lip (from years of unnecessary routine dental xrays) so I do not want routine xrays. That's my legal right as an adult, to make my own decisions about what is and isn't done to my body. I simply wanted a cleaning. Dr. Brar forced me to get a release from my primary care physician, which I did. This process took a week. I finally got my cleaning scheduled, yesterday, for tomorrow, Oct. 26th at 11am. In fact they've been bugging me with confirmations, through email and voice mail, all day. Of course I was going to be there. I'm the one that's been fighting for this cleaning. So just now, the evening before my appt., the dentist had her receptionist call to let me know that she, Dr. L. Brar, has changed her mind. She now refuses to clean my teeth unless I submit to an exam AND XRAYS. So basically I just wasted a week, and pestered my nice primary care physician, for nothing. Having your face xrayed every year, as they insist on doing at Aspen Dental, is not just excessive.... it's dangerous. The damage to your cells is cumulative. At the MOST you should only have routine xrays every 2-3 years. 5 years if you aren't having issues with your teeth. And dentists should only xray AFTER their exam and ONLY if they see cause for concern.  It is every person's right to refuse xrays at any time. No one should try to force you.... just so they can make a buck. Shame in you, Dr. L. Brar. I wouldn't let you anywhere near my teeth. read more

I like Aspen Dental. I had a lot of dental issues when I first went three years ago. They have been working with me to add a crown, fill decayed teeth, deep cleaning, and pulled a couple of bad teeth that had gone past the point of no return. I want to keep as many good teeth as possible. The thing that people don't realize is that all dental insurance is not all the same. The higher the monthly deductable, the less out of pocket, for the most part. Aspen Dental actually saved my life by pulling a tooth that looked good on the outside, but had a fine decay line that went directly into my bloodstream and into my kidney's. I hate going to the dentist, but I am thankful and greatful for the care that they have given me. read more
